Good food and very attentive
From the ambience, the attention of service and the food, always such a good experience! Well done to the lovely and attentive team. Always wanting to please their clientele!
The service doesn’t seem to understand the concept of space. Our conversations were constantly interrupted by the overly attentive staff who wants to remove any plate as soon as the last piece of food is eaten. The constant topping up of wine and water was so excessive that it was hard to get the flow of conversation going before we’re interrupted again. This aggressive service style has ruined an otherwise very enjoyable evening. Sometimes less is more!
Great food but staff looked tense and not friendly. Was downstairs and only had may 6 covers gave the impression they cannot cope. A little smile will go along way!
We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed. A number of other diners who has booked also turned up. No explanation, no sign. !
Good meal and excellent service- always very fresh tasting
A warm, cozy restaurant with outstanding food and service.
Second time here and another great meal and experience!
Had a pre-reserved booking on OT at 12:15 (afternoon)....turned up at 12:20....told by owner that restaurant wasn't ready to seat us for lunch for another half hour! Couldn't believe it!
aMazing food, we never miss this restaurant when visiting from the USA? The food is excellent, combined with the outstanding friendly generosity and hospitality of the owner, you will have the most fantastic meal.
lOve the area it is located in fashionable Marylebone, just off the high street.
a visit to London is only complete after a meal at Fairuz
We had the set menu, the first course of houmous, olives and salads was very good. The main course of grilled meat was ok but far from the best we've experienced at this price point in the market. Service was not great, needed to ask for water at least four times from three different waiters to finally get it half way through our main course. Atmosphere is rather sedate especially for a Friday night.
Always a pleasure to dine here. The mezza is excellent, as are the main kebobs. The set menu also is complete with a large fruit plate and sweets.
Very low value for money though the service and atmosphere are OK
After being seated we were informed that the credit card machine was not working. The staff were unfriendly and ordering and receiving food was laboured. It all felt very unwelcoming as if lunch at 2pm was an inconvenience to them. I have been to Fairuz five or so times in the past for different occasions but this last visit will unfortunately be the one I remember.
Been a few times now and never disappoints. Intimate (read bijou), authentic Lebanese cuisine. Service is excellent and the Lebanese red outstanding.
the food is really good but the prce does not seem to be fair.
Attentive staff and a good selection of hot & cold dishes. Very nice vegetarian options. The Lebanese cardamom coffee was an excellent way to end our meal.
Have eaten here before & the food has always been fresh, attractively presented and tasty.
Great food but they charged us for asking fi4 a few extra mezze platters which shoukd have been included as they hadn't given us enough for the whole group despite having a set menu which was not cheap to start with.
Food good but expensive. Ambiance ok. Waiters not as attentive as on previous visit
great place for dinner with friends, good variation on the menu
Standard dishes unwell, friendly service, wonderful Lebanese coffee!
This is one of my favorite spots for local Lebanese in Marylebone. Food is delicious and service is good and also good value.
always a delicious meal to be had here, so tasty and relaxing.
We had dinner upstairs, well decorated little room. Very good food, fresh, well presented. Nice vibrant atmosphere. Good service.
Great food. Fresh honest Lebanese food. No gimmicks
excellant lebanese food, quick and attentive service good value- a very pleasant experience
We selected this restaurant from Open Table's list. The menu looked good and we were not disappointed. We were too busy talking to go through their extensive menu so asked the waiter to bring us a selection of food. He checked our preferences, including those of one of our party who is not keen on red meat. (Many of the dishes are lamb based). A suburb selection followed. We can also recommend the house red wine - from the Bekka valley. Overall bill, including pre-dinner drinks, tea and 12.5% discretionary service charge, ca. £45 per head.
Well this is what cooking is al about or should be. The flavours were intense from start to finish, pricey but worth it. My starter of tuna tatar was subtle and my main course of rissotto ( always a good barometer of skill in the kitchen) was simply the bet i have ever had.
The lunch menu has been withdrawn but the lovely waiter reinstated it just for us, which meant good food at a good price. Great if you're in a hurry - we were in and out in an hour. Well worth a visit.
Superb tasting food, lots of choice, lovely ambience. Limited seating outside but inside has lovely nooks and crannies with Middle Eastern decor. Booking in advance as this is not a big restaurant and it seemed very popular indeed. Food served promptly and in all an excellent meal
The ambience and the food at Fairuz is always terrific and you are guaranteed a great evening!
Fairuz excels at offering the best of a genuine Lebanese restaurant experience: friendly, attentive and always available staff; a cozy and warm atmosphere ever so similar to what you would enjoy in Lebanon; a menu of typical courses matching the highest quality standards at a very fair price.
Definitely a place to go back to.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Fairuz! The food was fabulous - everything we chose was excellent. The service was attentive without being too much, even on a busy night when people were queuing at the door. We have now found our favourite Lebanese restaurant in London.
I went with my family for a birthday celebration and opted for the £25 a head set menu and we were left very satisfied, the food was delicious and there was more than enough to go round! I had mentioned to them on the booking that it was my brother's birthday and they came out with a candle in the dessert which was a lovely touch.
The only issue we had was that where we sat was a little cramped and tight for my dad and brother (both over 6ft) to get into without disturbing the other diners, however it had little impact on the overall experience!
Fairuz has been my fiancee's and my favourite Lebanese restaurant for a couple years now. While it is expensive and doesn't offer deals, it makes up for it with a great wine selection, attentive service and a romantic atmosphere. A warning, though: on Valentine's Day (when we went) the set menu was £30 per person (for ten courses!), so don't go on holidays if you want to order off their delicious a la carte menu.
The best Lebanese food in London.
On pre booking on arrival we were warmly greeted ,and then superbly fed,the starters, the salads, the main each delightful ,and the wines , ahhh!!! Heaven. We have been here a few times now and I greatly reccomend Fairuz good healthy eating try it ,you will be going back again and again.thanks for all the help with the superb Lebanese red wines.
We were greeted with olives and a bowl of vegetable... as a party of four we shared some mezza and a KAFTA BILABAN. The starters arrived promptly, the quality was really good; the lamb was spectacular....really good, cooked really well. So much that we asked for another one. We had a red wine from their lebanese selection: again, really good!
Really nice atmosphere, and a very nice and smiley waiter..
The food is always delicious at Fairuz!
I hadn't been to Fairuz for quite a while. Four of us had the lunchtime set meal. It was delicious and we had good fun there. Very good value at £15!!
