The menu was very limited, not many options at all, portions are small for the amount you’re paying and just very hard to find something appetizing

We booked a table for 8.30pm weeks in advance. Arrived at eight and directed upstairs to bar. It was packed out and extremely noisy with little chance of a seat or a drink so went to a hotel bar nearby and returned at 8.30. Table still not available for at least another 30 minutes. Left again to another bar across street to wait. Returned at 9.15 and stood for 10 minutes- eventually seated at 9.40pm. Very slow to take orders and crowded, overheated and noisy restaurant.
The menu read wellbut starters were small and overpriced at 12/15 Euro. Mains and sides tasty but very expensive - rib eye steak 35 Euro. Bill for two with glass of wine each and no desserts or coffee - 158 Euro. Won’t be back!!

Found it to be overly price for what was served. I usually hate sending food back but my cauliflower side dish was very cold - I was presented with a new one but my meat was cold by the time that arrived! Dessert was bland and coffee was extremely bitter. Disappointed overall.

Staff were amazing - really friendly and helpful. Food excellent which is great considering how busy the restaurant was. We got our food very quickly. We weren't rushed out after finishing our food. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Expensive with a major time constraint. The food is good but there was a rush for us to vacate the table which is really unfortunate.

Gorgeous food, very nice service and buzz about the place. Noise level a little loud due to a large table in the middle of the restaurant but it was Friday and the first going out night of the Christmas period so it was probably to be expected. Highly recommend the scallop starter, flatbread mains and the unusual take on banoffi for desert!

Lovely food, lovely waiter, horrible shouting from kitchen - some man hurling vile abuse at a member of staff. Excruciating to listen to. Would never go back

Have been before and was fantastic. This time not so good. First choice wine not available, side vegetable dish not available, ribeye inedible. They replaced the steak and also removed it from the bill but second one not even that good. Still had a decent evening but expensive for what it was and it just feels that overall they are not fully in the top of their game. Would go back and give another chance next time in Dublin.

Such a lovely evening at Fade Street Social, firstly our waiter was so friendly and nice! Food was really good, really nice atmosphere, over all, well worth it for the quality. Rabbit and steak were beautiful. Looking forward to returning to sampling more of the menu!

I had emailed restaurant ahead of booking to enquire if Vegans were catered for, which they assured me they were, as everything was prepared fresh. On the night, I was told I could have one option only (flatbread) and that there was just one side suitable. This is not what I expected from the confirmation that Vegans could be accommodated.
The fish portion was small and slightly overcooked.
Overall, I'd say it wasn't great value for money
The waitress who served us, however was lovely and helpful and knowledgeable about the steaks.

I booked this restaurant for my wife’s 50th Birthday. I reserved a table in the bar to start with and we shared a bottle of wine before being seen to our table in the restaurant. We ordered starters and was going to order steaks for our main meal when our waitress advised us to have the Picanha steak which we did. When it turned up it was so tough you could hardly cut it, I complained and without any discussion our waitress took it away and suggested we have our original order. After about 30mins they eventually turned up, disappointingly my wife’s steak was burnt and mine was extremely fatty. The head waiter could only apologise and offer us desserts which I declined. We left without a meal and a ruined 50th Birthday for my wife.

It was okay, I wouldn't rush back. We didnt have a starter, my main was lovely (Salmon) and portion size good. The salmon was a cool temperature, I didn't send it back as I knew it was cooked and I don't like my food overly hot anyway, however other customers may not be as relaxed. I thought my banoffee dessert had a lovely taste but a had a mushy baby food texture.
As I say, it was a nice meal, but I wouldn't book again.

Went with a group to celebrate my sons birthday. This is a pleasant place. Service is good but food over-priced for what you get and the quality. The restaurant is poorly lit - I love ambient lighting but had to use my phone torch to read the menu which was printed in really really really small text too! Some candles would add a touch of something that the otherwise beige decor and lighting leaves lacking. Lovely to see the chefs working and the pizza choices are wonderful. Food is mostly very rich - not a bad thing, just an observation. This is solid bistro style food but nothing more and really overpriced. That said, I had a cake made which was worth every penny - though not sure why we were then served rationed size slices. We ate at Etto the day before (and though much fancier menu offerings) blows this place completely out of the water on all counts - particularly on value for money. I wanted to love this place but didn’t at all. The tapas bar may be better value and more atmospheric?

Had a lovely meal here with my wife. Early Bird Menu.House Red was very acceptable. Food was well presented and was perfectly cooked. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Atmosphere was just nice as we had arrived early evening, it was getting quiet busy by the time we were leaving. Overall I would rate it 8.5 out of ten. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Food was exceptional, felt service was a little indifferent. No real personality with any of the waiters/waitresses. Kind of let the whole experience down a little. Food definitely makes up for the little touches that are lost with the service.

Our second visit to this restaurant, as fantastic as the first. Every detail from the food to the wine to the service was perfection. Our server in particular had a great knowledge of wine and advised us very well on our choice. We both had the fillet of beef which was cooked to perfection (med-rare and med-well) we had a drink upstairs afterwards and it was the perfect meal to celebrate a birthday.

Good food and a great environment. Overall I had a great evening. The service was okay but the closeness of the tables makes it difficult to interact with wait staff. The door person seemed totally overwhelmed and there was a bit of to-do between some of the staff about where we should sit - it seemed embarrassing to everyone concerned. In my experience when a customer gets caught in a fracas between two staff the staff usually do something to rectify it but that did not happen.

Nice comfortable restaurant and well located in the Dublin center area. It was very busy the night we were there. The over all experience was fairly good (with freinds) but the prices are quite high and all dinner choices were al-a-carte. The pork chop option (over cooked) for example was 27Euro and add-on sides are 7-8Euro avearge. The prices themselves are enough to make us not want to return.
