Was given a voucher for Cocktails and Tapas as a birthday gift. Was told on the voucher that we could book any time on a Sunday, so I decided to use it for a nice lunch. However, the cocktail bar doesn't open until 5pm and the menu that we could choose from was extremely limited. Ok no alcohol is not a huge deal but it wasn't the best start.
I am gluten intolerant (for real, not just a choice) so the menu was restrictive already. Maitre D mentioned that I could ask for anything and they would adapt it and cook it in a different oil. The team identified dishes they could make, and so was happy to go along with these choices at their recommendation.
The kitchen is open and there was only 1 other table of guests in the restaurant so I could hear them openly say they couldn't guarantee anything and shrug their shoulders knowing that food would be cross-contaminated. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence that what you are about to be given will be safe for you to eat. It should also be noted that the menu does note allergens but was missing some obvious ones eg Duck springs surely contain gluten (well not according to the menu). The food that did arrive was mediocre to poor.
Overall it was just a poor experience - expected more and would definitely not return.
Great for a date! Staff are lovely, drinks and ambiance fantastic.
Really enjoyed a girly night there at weekend . Food was sooo tasty and service was really good .. atmosphere fab also
A wonderful venue for a social or special occasion! Valentine's dinner was outstanding and they catered to vegetarian needs flawlessly. 10/10 would recommend!
Very Good. Will be back again.
A bit lacking on service times but food and drink are outstanding!
We had a very enjoyable evening in Fade Street Social. Thank you.
We have been to and enjoyed many Tapas restaurants so were looking forward to going to a different venue in Dublin. The food and experience was exceptional. The soft shell crab and sirloin were beautifully prepared and a taste sensation. Will be going back, the next time we are in Dublin.
Requested table downstairs but got moved upstairs not so good & took a long time for drinks order to co e each time but otherwise good overall
Really good, love the experience and the half price Sunday Deal
Very good food and service. Excellent wine list and cocktails.
We were sent up to the bar until our table was ready and just left there to find a seat and queue up for a drink, waited ages. The waiter was actually really nice and explained the menu well. When we ordered wine and food we had to ask 2 people where our wine was as took forever with no drinks. Food plates came out bit by bit, was ok for the price of it, the seared tuna looked and tasted awful and so we complained about it and it was kindly left off the bill. Very disappointing overall and we certainly won’t be back. Focus less on being cool and more on service and decent food would be my humble advice.
The Gastro Bar is a wonderful experience. The selection of small plates is varied and if maxed out flavor is your thing this is your place. We had a total of six dishes and each seemed to exceed our expectations (and given their Michelin Bib Gourmand designation, our expectations were substantial). Do not miss either the truffle pasta or the prawn tempura with chickpeas/sauce, etc. the chargrilled tuna was also memorable. The wine list is small but well conceived. Service is very friendly and enthusiastic.
Really enjoyed small plates at Fade Street Social. It’s a cool and comfortable environment with nice decor and interesting serving pieces. The menu was not large but all of our choices were delicious. The mushrooms were amazing. We also liked the duck, soft shell crab, and cauliflower. The tempura shrimp and sauce were delicious (but the chick peas distract from the dish in our opinion.) Service was steady and efficient. Big coat check. Definitely a good place for a night out!
Down from (NI) for overnight with daughter and was recommended the Gastro Bar. We had beautiful cocktails out on the roof top. Great food and ambiance. Service was slow but we weren’t in a hurry.
Food super-tasty. Service was poor. Ambiance good. Will give it another try as I’m certain we just had a dud server.
The service from the staff was superb Conor and Keith were excellent and made us feel welcome , the kitchen team on the other
hand were not particularly open and having a reservable counter option they need to be aware that they need to be more open to communication with the guests even if that is just eye contact and a smile , we didn’t come at busy time so there were no excuses . Regardless the food was superb but without the warm service from Conor we may have felt differently.
Best meal we’ve ever had! Lovely atmosphere, amazing service and staff and really unique menu.
Girls get together, it was my suggestion and it got a big thumbs up!
Food was delicious and the staff was professional and friendly !
Great staff and lovely food. The music was a bit loud for lunch time, which was annoying but over all very enjoyable.
The food is good and the service is very friendly. However, it is an expensive night out. The question is that if you are going to pay those prices perhaps you should be looking at a fine dinning?
The place feels old and a bit tired, the leather on the seats was cracked and a few broken tiles on the floor of the bathrooms and dodgy paint repairs on the ceiling. Feels like the place needs a revamp.
Kitchen at the counter seats, kitchen looked dirty and unorganised.
Drinks came halfway through the meal and had to be reminded of.
Food was okay and very expensive for what and how much we got. Bread was stale and portion sizes we’re extremely small for prices e.g tuna sashimi was 3 paper thin slices less than an inch wide was €12.50
Overall very disappointing.
Never fails to disappoint. Great food, service and atmosphere. Lovely bar upstairs too if you need to move from your table after you have eaten.
Overall the food quality is good to be fair however the portion sizes are a joke. The menu says for sharing but to be honest it would just be enough for 1 person. Service was lacking and staff were not attentive. For a restaurant that is positioned as a tapas place it’s not really a tapas place...
Lovely relaxed venue!
Friendly, Easy going and helpful staff!
A young lady in particular who was so helpful with suggesting tapas!
Food was absolutely beautiful and the cocktails were also amazing!
Highly recommend, will be going again!
Food was amazing and the staff so lovely!! I wouldn’t recommend sitting at the bar though as it’s so warm when the oven opens!!
Ordered a port and it never arrived when this was queried after about 20mins we were told no as they needed the table back. The port was on the bill along with 2 extra drinks that was never ordered.
Thanks for a great night to mark my 50th birthday , see you soon and merry Christmas
Overly loud as was very busy. Seating set up not great. Had selected low seating rather then bar but turned out to be a weird high-ish bench set up. Felt people were on top of you. Normal seating would have been better. Bar actually would have been better.
Bruno the waiter was fantastic, food was lovely, large hen party the only flaw
Loved it here - the food was fantastic! Highly recommend the duck, black pudding and prawns. Great service from our waiter and a buzzing atmosphere.
This restaurant is amazing: the food (taste, portion, cooking, flavours), the location, the service.
One of my favourite restaurant of all times !
Terrible Staff, rude and dropping food. Very overpriced, forced us to get the set menu which I was never told when booking. Waited 30 minutes for our table and then another 30 minutes. Food was alright but definitely not worth the price and very small portions. Tried to share our issues with the staff who did not care. Would not recommend
Great experience, good food and great service
Lovely meal, drinks slow coming to the table. Staff pleasant and Manager excellent.
Noisy, but its C'mas and tables too close together. Otherwise enjoyable!
Too expensive for what you get. Absolutely not blown away by anything. Loud and uncomfortable seats
Our first visit, and we were very impressed. We had excellent advice from our server, Vinney (I hope that I have spelt this right), who continued to look after us through our meal. All of the tapas dishes were beautiful, but we would particularly draw attention to the duck spring rolls, which were exquisite.
The food was great, there was a nice atmosphere. I told them we were celebrating my friends engagement and they brought out a little dessert with a candle in it.
iThe food and service were fantastic- Bruno the waiter was especially helpful and funny, his dish recommendations were also spot on. We will be back.
