Etta's is my go-to birthday restaurant, so again this year, AMAZING FOOD. We had the bucatini and the seafood stew. If only we could also cram in the crab cakes, fish and chips, rub-with-love salmon, and everything else on the menu in one trip. Love Tom Douglas food and so incredibly sad about what the pandemic is doing to Seattle's dining culture right now. Prayers and big tips for service staff while we can.
This was a reunion with a first cousin and it was a special night. We loved every minute of our time at Etta’s. The food was delicious, the drinks timely and replenished often and the atmosphere was perfect. We know it’s tough with the scares about the virus in the area. But I would not miss a chance to eat at one of my favorite places in Seattle. Love y’all!

Once again we had an enjoyable meal at Etta's Seafood. The service was excellent and our server engaged us when he had time to discuss the nature of our visit to Seattle (Garden Show) and my wife shared gardening ideas with him as well.

We had the February special- half a singe was crab and glass of bubbly; our excellent server recommended we split a simple salad as well. Oh my that crab was steamed to perfection! Didn’t need the melted butter it was so rich in flavor and super tender; great to have half a grilled lemon to squirt.
Our server was helpful, efficient and warm. There was no problem getting a table on a Thursday night. Ask for a table by the window to see the lights from the Great Wheel and Market nearby.
Good ok. But well over-priced for what it was. Oysters were good but good oysters aren’t hard to get in Seattle. Unlikely that I’d return given vast alternatives.
Etta always deliver delicious food in a beautiful setting. Crab cakes are particularly good.

The best crab cakes we have ever had! Great service, Carrie knew the menu backwards and forwards and made great recommendations for our group of 5, which included 3 teenagers.

Lack lustre food but awesome service. Won’t be going back. Used to work for TD restaurants and I feel like the food has lost its zest in the last year.
I hope this reaches the management. We went to Etta's to celebrate an anniversary, and brought another couple with us. I had eaten at Etta's years ago, and well remembered having the Alder plank salmon with corn pudding. It was so memorable that I wanted to have it again. Now it is called the "Rub With Love" Salmon, but it also included the corn pudding. To my disappointment, the preparation had changed dramatically. Not only was our salmon extremely overcooked (and fairly tasteless) but the corn pudding was dry and tough--like it had been left in a warmer for a full day. The brussels sprouts hash that accompanied were too oily, and, yes, overcooked. I know that this is one of Tom Douglas's signature dishes, but I would certainly not stake any reputation on what we had! To be fair, our appetizer (whole prawns) and salads (spinach with pear) were quite good. I am sorry to report this.

Server was great! Loved the menu options and cool cocktails. I got the crab chilaquiles which were delicious. The chips were crunchy, lightly sprinkled cheese, fresh jalapenos and cabbage. The (lack of) crab meat was disappointing. It was maybe 5 half inch pieces of crab. If I wasn't distracted by good company and plenty of bubbly, I would have complained.
Seafood stew was good. Calamari had lots of flavor. Creamy crab shells was lacking flavor. Drinks were ok. Our server would ask us what we ordered after he had walked away...every. single. time.
It's a nice restaurant, but our experience was not optimum. We enjoyed our food, but service was very slow from the time we arrived. It took a long time for someone to take our initial drink order, which was then very slow to arrive. The food was also delivered quite late and lukewarm.

It was my sister’s birthday. I called ahead to ask permission to bring in a birthday cake. The hostess said yes, of course and when it comes time we’ll bring it out with candles along with a complimentary piece of coconut cream pie.
Our waitress/server was helpful and personable, we felt very welcomed. Our meal was delicious and the restaurant is cozy.

We had a delicious lunch at Etta's and my out of town guests enjoyed it greatly. The service was really good and we felt totally taken care of. All our food was great except for the fries that went with the fish and chips. They were on the greasy side, very short in length and a bit salty.
Second visit to Etta's, not quite as good as the first. Service is excellent, bartender was very hospitable and friendly. Table server was engaging and knowledgeable.
I had the Northwest Seafood Stew which had a great broth, however it was OVERWHELMED with "sunchokes", which was not included in the list of ingredients on the menu. I enjoyed all of the ingredients except the sunchokes. The dish would have been excellent WITHOUT the sunchokes.
The Salt and Pepper Fried Calamari was a very large portion, plenty for the entire table. Didn't particulary care for the aioli, not much flavor.
My friend had the Etta's "Rub with Love" Salmon, he wasn't impressed as the Salmon was very dry and seemed overcooked.

We had enjoyed Etta's takeout over the summer from their Rub With Love shop next door so we were looking forward to another great experience. Our server was exceptional. He went the extra mile to sort out all of our special requests ...we had a few for a family of five ! Unfortunately, when the food arrived...and correctly as ordered...it just wasn't that good. Certainly not up to the expectations of a Tom Douglas restaurant. At best it reminded us of mediocre diner food. We were very disappointed with everything we ate. Guess we will stick with the take out next door!!!
We were excited to try this iconic place after seeing it on the Food Network, but were disappointed with the prices for what we were served. The Dungeness crab was very good, but not worth the price paid, especially without any sides. The Dungeness crab cake was also good - but not worth the price or the hype. Now, the coconut cream pie with worth every penny and worth the hype - absolutely fantastic. Our server was the highlight of the evening - she was witty, knowledgeable, and very good.
The service was top notch. Food what we expected. Glad we were able to share our food scene with out of town guests.
Very personal and attentive server helped to make ‘our dinner special. The food was prepared to perfection, the ambiance was just right to support our family time and create good memories. We will be back!
Service was outstanding. And being near he Seattle waterfront is always a special experience. We ordered a calamari appetizer and it was as good as it gets. Clam chowder was good. Our party ordered oysters and fish and chips - both the oysters and cod fish were excellent as was the side of cole slaw. But what was disappointing were the fresh fries. Many were burnt and seemed to be reheated - just not good at all. What is surprising is that I have had French fries at Tom Douglas restaurants before and I always thought they were outstanding. Except for the fries, everything was great.
Food was poor. Ambience not pleasant. Booth not comfortable. Mediocre experience. This is a restaurant for tourists at the market but not Seattleites looking for a good experience.
The smoked black cod benedict was fantastic!
The food was Meh. My salmon was dry and overcooked, the corn cakes underdone. The place is lovely, but the food is not worth it.
Ben was a great server. The scallion pancakes and the apple cobbler were both particularly great!
It’s a holiday so probably can’t expect the usual great experience. Made reservations, were told to wait at the bar while our table became available which was fine and expected “about 10 mins” - waited in the bar for a really long time as we watched people seated well after we arrived. My husband went to check on our table and it was clear that we were forgotten so they quickly made a table available ... the two-top in the back against the wall right next to the kitchen (should have been saved for walk-ins) I got to spend the evening looking through the back of the house door opening and closing with plates being delivered and kitchen equipment ....really, that’s a New Years Eve experience? Because we were so close to the kitchen door our plates were scooped up the moment we put our forks down. We had an 8:45 reservation so there was no need to rush us ... it would have been nice to linger and talk but we were constantly being “over-serviced” as we were in the wait staff flight path. Our waiter did a good job - however he didn’t ask if we wanted salad or bread we felt he was rushed too so we paced our orders to him to try and slow down the service. The butternut squash app was great and blazing hot - the mussels were lukewarm so disappointing and they both came at the same time - one obviously waiting for the other. Flavors were good. Salmon and crab Bucca were nice. Took a while to get the next glass of wine - I was half way thru the meal before I received it ... so when the meal was finished I said to my husband I guess I will just sip the wine for awhile until we are ready to order dessert.. the flight path took over and we were cleared immediately and dessert cards were presented. So we laughed and said we will “think about it” to queue to give us some time. Didn’t work came back to let us know that the Apple cobbler was out so we went with only one dessert the reliable coconut cream pie. Good not the usual great.

Scallops great on New Years Eve menu but the sauce was so salty the dish was inedible
Large steamed Dungeoness crab could have been a bit larger, but with the crabbing season just opened, perhaps the first were from N. Calif or Oregon (tend to be a bit smaller than those from Wash or Alaska. The chowder seemed like it was Alfredo sauce with clam meat (a generous amount). Good, but not outstanding. Perhaps some slower cooking might help to mellow out the flavors.
Came with family over the holidays. Morgan’s service was fabulous. I feel like the crab cakes have gone down hill from the old days. Way too much bread. Salmon was quite dry and overcooked.
