It is not any more a cabaret as it is advertised A fiasco
One of the best restaurants i have been ..... I went for my sisters bday and she had a blast
It was a bit confusing to get seated even though we had reservations. We had to wait 30 minutes and the place was empty so I didn’t understand why it was so difficult to get seated. It’s very loud so if you don’t like eating to the beat of club music, do not go! I didn’t mind but I thought there was a show and there wasn’t, just a girl in a hanging hoop twice during the night and a lady that sang one song.
Even though there was no show we were warned before we got seated that the table had a two hour limit which I thought was weird because there was no show to watch so why would we need to adjust to a time frame? In the end no one else came so we were allowed to stay in the table because honestly the place was empty, that being said the food Was really good and our server was super nice so I would go back if My intentions are to listen to loud music and eat a couple of nice appetizers
Fun atmosphere good music good vibes
Fun, energetic, amazing service, beautiful people!
Very unprofessional, the host Paolo was extremely rude, he refused us to be seated and had us waiting in the rain whilst he serviced other customers. Will never go to this restaurant again. Very poor management and the most rude host I have ever came across
Overall I had a great experience. Live and up beat with several shows throughout the night. Unfortunately & fortunately their was a birthday party there where they bought out the entire place, so the staff treated me a little more like I did not matter. But the plus side the party was buying drinks and felt like I was a part of the party plus it made for very good people watching. It also took a very long time in-between courses. However the restaurant did warn us up front the their dining experience is about 2 hours mine was 2.5 hours.
Took forever to get seated- but I didn’t mind waiting at the bar, bartender was very friendly and their wine by the glass selection is good.
Our server, Pablo was incredible! Food took a while to come out but Pablo was gracious about it. I asked him to please bring me dessert first - no questions asked he did. 💯
Haven’t had such a good experience in Miami in a while! ❤️
Entertainment was GREAT!
Shows stopped which were great and they charge a minimum tip of 36%; 18% service charge for the restaurant that according to the waiter is not given to them plus the tip for the waiter, (assuming the minimum of the range of 18%) is 36% which seems high for it to be the minimum.
Demasiado caro! El show es a partir de las 10:30pm y tu reservación en la mesa es para estar solo dos horas, luego te levantan... terminas o empiezas a ver el show de pie en el bar.
Very Pretentious place..
1) When we called to see the corkage Fee it was $50.
Only one other restaurant in Miami we have ever been to where the corkage fee was that high.
2) We booked through OPEN TABLE and arrived to a DRESS CODE which was not stated..
"they decided" to let us stay
3) Food was nice,
Service was actually good from multiple people
4) But our evening ended with an 18% SERVICE CHARGE in which we were told this was for a tip for the table and that if we wanted to leave a service tip for the table it was ON TOP OF THAT!!
so to have a 35-40% charge on top was ridiculous
We will NEVER go back to this place
Celebration dinner!! Expecting our 👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻th. Fantastic restaurant!!!!
First time, enjoyed my evening.
Will for sure come again
Attentive service, delicious food, reasonably priced and great performances! Perfect place for a group looking to have a superb experience
Great place to eat and entertain in miami
Fantastic thank you
Good ... extrange crowd
El lugar es espectacular, la comida deliciosa, esmerada atención al cliente, excelente ambiente, el DJ es el mejor. Para mí es uno de los mejores lugares que tiene Miami. Perfecto para celebrar cumpleaños, aniversarios, graduación
It was such a great experience. I celebrated my bday there with my friends..... The staff was attentive and entertaining. They made sure we were taken care of by making sure our cups were never empty and there was always a smile on my face. I will definitely be back soon.
Great place to go for a girls or boys night out/datenight/friends as the food is amazingly good and the performances during the dinner service is phenomenal. I felt like I didn't know if I wanted to eat or dance more. Service, presentation, and taste of the food made we want to order everything (but I did eat well).
A sexy, fun place to let your hair down and party! Preferably on a weekend or vacation day as you'll need to sleep late the next day.
We came for dinner with expectations to see the show, but only from our server we found that show doesn’t start till after 10.
Restaurant was pretty much empty at 8pm, 15 (counted) staff members standing throughout the place in waiting mode.
Food was good though.
Ridiculously expensive and very uncomfortable seating in the back of the room. Show short and mostly a DJ!
it was a very funny experience
it a different place tu dinner
you can dance and see a good show
Overall the food and atmosphere was good and a nice first time experience, just a few disappointments. First off the seating was not the best, as soon as the hostess seated us I made her aware that I was not satisfied with where they placed it. We were at the very end of the restaurant in which we could barely see the stage, when she then moved us upstairs the view was a bit better but there were other people standing over me and my partner which was very annoying. Secondly, obviously we were the only African Americans in the room which was fine until the party host began to speak Spanish. I felt as if they only paid attention to there Latin based guest, they never translated for us to understand and it made it very difficult to enjoy. I don’t have a problem listening to Hispanic music, I’m from Miami but they did not consider if they had guest that did not understand and barley played a different genre of music. Lastly, when I originally looked online it showed they had 3 menu options, $50, $85, and $105. When they server gave us the menu it only showed the $85 and $105. Unfortunately For us he paid more attention to the Hispanic guest so he never really got a chance to even speak to us. He sent another server that only spoke Spanish. The food was okay but not $85 worth. I’ve went to nicer restaurants and got a larger portion for less. When we finally received our bill gratuity was over $40, which was bad because I don’t feel like the service we got was even $10. I did not complain because of course we went to have a good time and the money was not the issue, but it wasn’t what the server even deserved. A lot of my friends and family have been asking about it and honestly I’m not even comfortable recommending it to anyone. I was a bit disappointed.
The Tulcan is a good place to try once. The show is entertained but far from being a top notch show. The food is excellent but it is is very pricier as the drinks are not included and they are about 40% more expensive like other places in Brickell. Again. Good to try it once.
Second time here, we had an OK time, but it has deteriorated much since the first time, service was slow, the place now is packed with tables and it's former exclusive vibe is now gone.. I missed the old Tucán and the live band, now it's just like any other club in the areas with a forgettable cabaret show... ohh well.. will not be back ... not worth the price anymore.... not enough latín vibe here ..
It was a romantic dinner
We had a fun time with entertainment but We could not eat the food cause it was all very was cold. 😞
We had a great experience at El Tucán.At our arrival we were greeted by one of the performers taken to our table by the hostess, our waiter was absolutely wonderful, the food was very good.Unfortunately we got a table with obstructing view which wouldn’t allow us to truly enjoy the show, and the cocktails(Mojitos)were not as good, the bar should work a bit more on that.Still a very enjoyable night.Congrats on the service one of the best in Miami.
Great fun. Food mediocre at best. Good wine selection. The venues attempt at trying to feed everyone at the same time to stay on schedule resulted in bland, cold and, generally, poorly presented food. So long as you go for the entertainment and not the meal your expectations will be fine.
Very fun night. Food is good but everything was very expensive. It is Miami and there is a show so it's worth it.
IT WAS SO HOT I COULD NOT EVEN BREATHE. I thought it was just me but when I saw my 23 year old daughter with a really bad face and she didn’t whant t complain cause is was my birthday.....poor thing she was so close to a panic attack do to how HOT is was
We asked not to be sat by the speakers up and we even waited extra time to still be sat next to the speakers. Other than that everything was perfect
This was my. 3rd time and this time with Miami spice . Fantastic value for money!
The show, socially this lady who n'a de me
Think of the virus du soleil performances and the salsa group and then at the end the DJ excellent!
Definitely I recommend this place! We were 6 friends and had an amazing time!
Miami needs more places like this! A true Gem, I'm almost jealous I didn't come up with the brilliant idea to create this place myself. I applaud the owner for this venture and hope it retains lasting success. Staff was very kind and accommodating, attentive as well! Love El Tucan and I can't wait to return for another performance. Meals could be fresher and better prepared, however that won't stop me from returning!
Extremely dissappointed from the seating, wait time even with a reservation, service and pricing. It was my mother's bday and I wanted to surprise her with a glam night in the heart of Miami and it was the worst place I could have ever taken her. AWEFUL! The service and the pricing were incoherent and the seating was horrible for 5 people. I would never go back to that horrible place!
First of all: The negative comments are absolutely unwarranted. This place is spectacular, what a show! We did not expect this! So much talent! We were so mesmerized by the performances that at times we could not look down on our plates to eat, because we feared missing a single moment of the show. And when we got to taste our food we were surprised how delicious it was! I could taste Peruvian and Mexican flavors. And yes, it takes long to get seated. And yes the service is slow. But that is beside the point because what you get here you get nowhere in Miami, so the wait is worth it. If what you are looking for is some quiet gourmet dinner place where the waiter spends a lot of time talking to you and responding to your needs, I am sure you will find many places like that in Miami. But nowhere else in Miami will you find anything like this vibrant spectacle that will leave you in awe. And yes, it is expensive, and they charge 20% gratuity like many other places in Miami. Well, it is a small place, and there are many, amazingly talented performers who need to be paid. It is worth it. And back to the show, yesterday, the highlight was this lady with a powerful soulful voice, reminiscent of Aretha Franklin, who captivated the audience as she sang and walked around the tables while performing songs that left everybody ecstatic and full of admiration for her talent. Other performers also navigated around the tables while performing and engaging the audience one-on-one in their act. A Cuban singer had the perfect voice for salsa and merengue songs , other performances were a bit risqué, showing some skin, but mature cosmopolitan people can appreciate the different musical expressions and teasing of our senses. One sexy, gymnast, contortionist lady achieved an almost impossible Cirque-De-Soleil-like act. You will have to see it to believe it. We will be going back!
The food, atmosphere, people, service and talent were all excellent. I look forward to going again and would recommend it highly.
