Great vibe and buzz. Loved the Thai mussels and rustic bread to soak up the coconut and coriander broth. Seafood linguine packed with seafood local cheeses and a glass of port overlooking the sea made for a perfect evening

This was our third visit to the Criccieth restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We had a three course evening meal and was blown away by the freshness and dishes available. The staff were super friendly and would highly recommend eating here. The drunken mussels were particularly good. Also very good with food allergies as I suffer from a gluten and soya allergy. Well worth a visit, even if it's for a drink.

Never been to Dylan's before but several people had recommended it to me. Loved the whole experience. Great food, great staff, terrific sea view and very good value for money. We will definitely visit again when we next visit North Wales.

Couldn't have had a better evening. Everybody in our party enjoyed their food and the ambience was excellent. One of our party was hard of hearing and we were given a table which was 'quiet' even though it was a very busy evening in the restaurant. Thank you

A good casual dining experience. Service efficient and friendly. Good menu, fish/meat. Can't comment on vegetarian options. Restaurant is quite noisy but doesn't deter from a good evening. Starter..fish cakes were a little dry but main -seafood linguine was very tasty. Wine reasonably priced. Desserts pretty standard fare. Appears to be little competition in the town for dining but would give it another go for sure.

First time I've eaten in this Dylan's restaurant, and as I've eaten in their Menai Bridge one several times I thought I'd give it a try. I booked for myself and my husband for 6pm. It was a Saturday night and the perfect time as not too busy and still light enough to catch the sunset and amazing views. The table at the window was fabulous too. The food was spot on as usual from Dylan's and the staff were all great. The only comments I would make really are that when I asked what the size diffence was between the small and large portions of risotto the waitress didn't have a clue! This is something that all staff should know really as they offer a lot of their dishes as small or large. Also, the service was very quick, too quick to be honest and we were done and dusted in an hour after having 3 courses and drinks! I would have preferred to have a slight break in between courses and at first they brought the starter and mains at the same time! That said, none of this would stop me from visiting here again and I will definitely recommend it to friends.

Dylans, as always, provides the perfect balance of very good food, friendly knowledgeable staff who take their profession seriously, splendid location and ambience and a very cool crowd (present company excepted!) We have been coming since you opened and it is always the highlight of a trip to Criccieth.

We booked for my 53rd birthday - we thoroughly enjoyed it. First visit to the Criccieth restaurant. Very impressed with how they have used the space without changing what was special about the listed building. Service was friendly but not intrusive. Loved the prosecco from Treviso - we had it by the glass (the only one they do by the glass) . Very superior (£28 for a bottle, but a reasonable £6 for a glass) - the only place in Wales at the moment which serves it. The lamb oggie was really fabulous - delicious (had had it before as a main course in Menai Bridge) as a starter, although more filling than most of their starters! My sister enjoyed the warm salad, we shared garlic bread and a breaded chicken caesar salad too. We had two pizzas between three of us for our main course - I usually have the Aphrodite pizza which is gorgeous and hubby tried the smoked chicken and chorizo one which he loved. Half of both our pizzas and some of the garlic bread had to be boxed at the end as we couldn't eat everything. All in all, a very relaxing dining experience in a beautiful building overlooking the sea - with great food and wine. Who can ask for more on their birthday?

Interesting building and well kitted out. Food really good, Wine by the glass is London prices, a little expensive for the area / location. Entrance seating area could be a little more protected from the elements, if its windy (as was on this occasion) the doors could be improved to offer a bit more protection. Good choice of drinks and interesting menu. Specials could be better advertised, there were some good ones but we ordered before we knew there were any ! Overall fab, staff really polite, helpful and charming

Dylans came highly recommended by a value member who lives local. I was really looking forward to food there as the location is spot on. We ordered lobster and mussels, both weren't great to be honest. The lobster was rubbery and for £22.50 I expected much more. Staff were lovely and the restaurant was immaculate. Would go again but would be careful over what I would order.

This was our third visit to Dylan's. With three small children (aged 6,4 and 2) it can be difficult to find a suitable restaurant to suit our family but Dylan's offers the perfect place. The service and interaction with our children was fantastic and the menu was perfect for both adults and children. We will definitely return.

We booked a table at Dylans for my husbands birthday and had a wonderful meal. I had told the restaraunt that it was his birthday and they wished him happy birthday when we were first seated and for his desert happy birthday was piped in chocolate on his plate which was a lovely touch. The food was excellent with fantastic views over the sea. Would certainly go again.

We have eaten at both Dylans restaurants a number of times and always enjoy it. Both the Criccieth and Menai Bridge Restaurants are fantastic buildings in great settings with modern and interesting décor. The food is consistently good, the wine and cocktails great, and the service always friendly. The atmosphere is lively and both restaurants are always full so worth booking in advance. Love the style and the Dylans merchandise.

Booked this table at quite short notice, only the day before, normally booked up especially in the summer. We all had seafood starters, 2 of us opting for the specials board with the garlic crevettes, tasty but messy - as they had to be peeled but that's part of the fun. Our main course choices were the hake x2 and the chicken in a basket x 2 both delicious although I couldn't finish mine as the portion is quite large. Needless to say only the boys managed a pudding and they shared 1 between them, the treacle tart with cream which went down well, none of it got offered round...... a jolly good night

Went to Dylan's as it was my birthday and we were staying in the area. Loved the location (right by the beach) and the service was very prompt and friendly. The menu has a great selection of vegetarian options and seafood dishes. We went on a Sunday night in February so there was quite a laid back vibe but I can imagine it's buzzing in the summer. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and will no doubt visit again soon.

We have visited on several previous occasions. We love the location and ambience. Drinks are very good; the food a little hit and miss. Starters and bread are always very good. Our main courses were hake ( excellent), Menai Straits pizza ( very good) and two chicken in baskets (ok). Puddings, all 'Messy Mons' were poor. Just a load of big pieces of meringue, not like we've had before.

stopped on the way home from Bangor - chosen from Restaurant Finder app. It was almost dark when we arrived so couldnt get full effect of glass windows looking out to sea - but all tables get a view. The hake I had was devine, my wife's salad was superb, but my daughters white bait starter was a little bland. Good value, with mains 10-16 apart from lobster....

We loved our evening at Dylan's. The service was impeccable from the moment we walked in until we left. The food was delicious, my partner had the special to start, I had a garlic pizza bread (which is a good sharer starter, although the price indicated it was for one..!) I had a falafel burger for main, my partner had seafood linguine. Everything was fresh and homemade and the flavours were to die for! It's not a restaurant with an a la carte posh menu, but what they do do, they do extremely well. The view and the setting also, is something you must see, over looking the sea and it's beautifully lit in the evenings. It was a perfect evening for our night away, thank you.

The place was busy and had a very good atmosphere, an excellent conversion of a 1950's ? sea side pavilion type cafe. Staff were very good, food though didn't live up to our expectations. Mussels starter was good and bread v.good. My wife's "crab fishcakes" were more like deep fried croquet's! The pizzas were soggy. Waiter promised to tell kitchen and gave us complimentary coffee. A disappointing evening.

The building and interior are vary appealing. The ambiance is excellent however, had the restaurant been busy it might have been too noisy. There are too many tables packed in to the venue. The aisle between rows of table is very small, it feels like you are part of the same group as the table across the aisle. The food was a little disappointing. The fish was over cooked and very dry and the chips were appeared to be re-heated.
