With its most recent refurbishment Dukes can now properly call itself a venue with two bars, three private events spaces, a grill restaurant, excellent smoking facilities, canalside terrace and balcony overlooking the canal basin. Dukes continued appeal relies on its ability to transform from a relaxed, family friendly environment by day to a vibrant and stylish bar and grill by night.
The space has been extended and refurbished since its opening in 1991 and inside its interior combines contemporary features and its trademark antique furniture.
Incredibly slow and unhelpful service, had to ask several times for a waiter to tend our table.
I would recommend Dukes although not when the weather is nice as it gets incredibly busy with waiting over 30mins for drinks which where never received and removed from the bill, also water was never received which was ordered upon arrival and asked for numerous times. I can not fault the food although staters and mains where brought out at the same time, yes small plates my not be starters but we advised our waitress they were starters when we ordered. The waitresses seemed confused as to why we wanted them separately when they where brought out.
We have been previously when the weather was slightly more British and wet, the service was far better. I feel this is a restaurant which struggles to cope under pressure
Food was amazing, big portions. It was loud in the restaurant but it was a Saturday night and the restaurant is sectioned off from the bar. Service was excellent would hightly recommend no faults
Great restaurant with good food, great atmosphere and a waiter that was absolutely fabulous. He definitely made the night a 10/10.
Lovely food, great atmosphere and service
Will definitely come again
Excellent food ,in great surroundings very well looked after by Sophie ,cudnt hav asked for more x
Had a lovely meal before going to a concert. Fantastic Big Chief cocktail. Great staff.
Dukes 92 is a restaurant I regularly visit the reason being it’s wonderful and delicious in so many ways. I highly recommend as you wouldn’t be disappointed as it’s a sensational place to be. Top marks!!!!
Absolutely amazing atmosphere! I will be returning for my birthday
First visit , a few friends have been and love it so I just had to see for myself, I wasn’t didsspointed, loved the place especially when the suns shining
Amazing food, plenty of choice, great cocktails. Loved the atmosphere and will definitely be back again
Good food and service until glass in a drink cut one of the dinners mouth in the party. Handled well by the manager once informed but lack of understanding of the seriousness of one of the servers, who felt it was because they were busy. Ruined the experience .
Lovely food and good service but very loud music constantly as it’s a popular bar so it was quite hard to talk unless you shouted. I would recommend
It for the food and service.
Great waitress.(Faye) Diamond. Very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent and served without any delay. Great afternoon.
Pleasant evening with friends, drank on the patio then dined inside, lovely experience, would possibly consider to be only slightly overpriced for some menu and drink items however.
Fabulous food, great atmosphere and amazing service from Lewis !
Food was good. Orders were wrong, no drinks were offered. An hour between each course. Rude staff.
Where to start?
This was supposed to be a relaxed evening to catch up with friends. Unfortunately a sunny Friday at Dukes is not the place to go! The food was great and the staff were doing their best but it was crazy busy and just full of very drunk people falling over themselves, dropping drinks and shouting at bouncers. I’d booked a table thankfully and Ethan, our waiter did a great job of looking after us. He made sure we got drinks when we needed and that we were happy. Service was slow due to how busy it was. I’d definitely go back, we had the ‘motherboard’ sharing board which was epic and really good value but I’d have to make sure it wasn’t going to be as busy next time.
Quality food served in a good time on a massively busy day
Service wasn’t good as per
Had a really enjoyable night at Dukes, everything was perfect. Great atmosphere, food & service.
Lovely atmosphere with talented live music for Father's day . Really enjoyable Sunday Lunch very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful so a brilliant experience all round!
Great food, lovely venue definitely recommend to others
The food was very nice and enjoyable but our service was horrendous! We had to ask and keep looking around to get attention. They was at least 5 tables that had come and gone in the space we was there, It was like we just got avoided!
Other than getting 2 pints dropped over one of our party the food was great
Overall the experience was good. Whilst our waitress was lovely and very accommodating she didn’t seem fully trained, removing plates from the table before people had finished eating. The music level was very loud, which whilst eating isn’t ideal and we werent able to hear each other speak very well, however I appreciate this is personal preference. I enjoy the food here and would come again as well as to recommend to friends. Unfortunately I found the toilets to be quite disgraceful. Doors didn’t shut, some toilets didn’t flush, one of the hand dryers didn’t work and it was clearly not checked upon often enough. For an establishment of this sort I found it quite unacceptable
Terrible. Weren't even shown to our table. Menus thrown into the middle. Left alone for twenty minutes, had to gesture someone over to order drinks, which were left on a tray on the bar whilst the staff stood around chatting. When it came, the steak was like leather The sharing platter fit for two to three was just about enough for one. The pizza was paper thin and soggy. It felt like we were an inconvenience. I would never go again Nothing about it was acceptable, never mind adequate. Its not as if they were rushed off their feet, and it's easy to see why.
Great food and service a little expensive for the portions though.
Dukes 92 hosted my 40th birthday dinner and we received a great experience. The food quality was very high, as was the service. Giuseppe was a great waiter and provided a fantastic level of service. I would highly recommend Dukes 92.
Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food, faultless
Amazing food and drinks, served by friendly and service minded staff in a delightful environment.
Wonderful atmosphere and the decor is fantastic. Great quality food, although the desert was slightly lacking in flavour. I would recommend Dukes 92, and I am looking forward to returning again soon.
Great sharing board. Service a bit slow but we weren't in a rush so no problem
My ribs were far too salty. The waiter and manager could no have been nicer. They deducted the ribs, off bill. And gave us two desserts, more than they had to. It hasn't put me off one little bit. They were both amazing, kind and professional. The waiter was Italian, sorry, don't know the name. And the manager whoever was managing resturant on Sunday 26. 👍
Duke’s was a great place to meet our son for lunch. It’s central with free parking. The service from the bar man the manager the table host the person who brought the food was fabulous! Great choices of food and drink at moderate prices. Lovely venue by the canal. Spacious table with a great ambience. The meals were all lovely. We’ll be back!
Service was ok. The server was nice and clearly doing her best... but you need to train your staff better on how to wait table, serve wine, recommend courses, wine pairing...
The food was very good.
Service was pretty poor and very slow. We were told they needed the table back by a certain time half way through the meal. 4 hours for 2 courses and a few drinks was a bit excessive. If they wanted the table back quickly they should have been more attentive and faster service.
Great, will be back again- food, service was amazing.
