I was truly disappointed in the food and the price of the meal.
A delightful experience with a charming server and excellent cuisine!
Along with a fascinating bit of entertainment being poolside!
went for restaurant week on September 6. The waitress said that restaurant weekended last Friday. We spoke to the manager and he mentioned the same thing that Restaurant week ended last Friday September 3. I Brought up Restaurant week website on my phone and brought up Hotel Zaza showing that restaurant week that hotel Zaza was participating in lasted thru Sept 13! The manager said the site was wrong he would get it corrected immediately he did not honor the mistake or try to compensate in any way or form. We still ended up eating there ordering off the regular menu the service was not a 4 star dining service it was more like chilis or a low grade family restaurant. Would never recommend any one to visit this hotel or eat at this restaurant. Management is bad service is bad and food is horrible as well.
Wanted to check out the hotel and participate in DFW Restaurant Week. We were concerned about how casual it was to start with (a 7:30 reservation with the pool still open), but the food BLEW us away! Had the petite filet-had to be in my top 5 ever!
They weren’t even open.
Great food, service and ambiance. A hidden gem at lunchtime. Will definitely be back.
Dinner w my daughter
Service slow. But waiter knew it and comped a dessert. We appreciated it.
Love it here!! Food and service is always amazing!!
Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy
Poor Service. Decent Food, However Shrimp Was Severely Charred. Beautiful Venue.
Great food and service!!!
We had a great dinner at Dragonfly. The shrimp/crab appetizer was very good, my redfish special was amazing as well as my daughter’s open faced steak sandwich. However my other daughter’s filet with loaded mashed potatoes was a bit of a let down. Very basic dish with a tiny cup of plain mashed potatoes with add ins on the side. No veggies? Also, Next time I want to sit in the main area bc the back room was nice but you felt separated from the overall vibe and energy of the main space. On a positive note, service was great and the complimentary valet was awesome! overall ambience was gorgeous and we definitely plan to return.
The staff was so careful with my food allergies and the food was delicious! Excellent wine selection as well!
Great food and ambience!!
I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was at this restaurant. I had never been there before and I will definitely go back. We had the spinach artichoke dip, and shrimp/crab appetizers. They were both so good I thought about ordering the shrimp/crab for dinner. I ended up getting the scallops and they were very good. The atmosphere was nice and you could actually hear each other talk!
Walking in I was not feeling it. The bread was really good, and the butter was under salted. The old fashioned was super sweet. The menu read really boring. My wife decided to go out of her comfort zone and ordered the shrimp and crab app. It was super spicy and addictive! We could not stop eating it. The salsa was flavorful and tomato forward, with a nice high heat. The caprese salad was nice. Again really flavorful tomatoes adorned with nice flakes of sea salt. My wife had the fish of the day which was well balanced and tasty. I had the lobster roll. It was good and I appreciate the Tabasco the pickled jalapeños and all the dressings with it. We also ordered the goat cheese Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were great, the hot cheese adds a nice funk and the parm adds a great salt level. Those are not to be missed. For dessert the creek brûlée was nice. They are heavy with the orange citrus which allows them to go heavy on the brûlée . This was a very tasty dessert not like others. It really celebrated the brûlée. Would do it again.
Had to ask for the real wine list. Solid options were available there to our great relief, but vintages were off on half the possibilities we inquired about. Sadly, we got seated in the bar area instead of the quieter back table area. TV in the background was not what we wanted for our anniversary. Food and service were super (chicken and beef dishes) because we made the most of it. Didn't hold up to the reviews we read. We went to Truluck's last year when we were in Dallas which was superior to Dragonfly.
I came here with my family on Christmas Day. The food was terrible and was like mush. Our servers forgot about us since we were located in a private room, and we were there for over 3 hours.
I will never go back or recommend this place.
We were disappointed especially since it Christmas I made a reservation through open table. When we were seated we passed all these empty tables and they took us to a small table by the door. The food was nice but not what we expected given the reviews. The service was really slow
The food was delicious, the service was spot on, and I am definitely going back! And soon since I am still in Dallas for client meetings :-)
The main bar area for dining was quite loud. The food for price value was not justified
Pretty much underwhelmed with most of the meal. Made a reservation but no one was at the front desk when we walked in. I really wanted breakfast. After the waiter left and came back, he apologized and said they could only do their lunch and brunch menu. I said I understand and asked for a couple minutes to decide. The bread they brought was stale and hard.
I order the lobster roll. It’s okay but I ask for fruit and get fries. I can’t even tell the server because he never comes back. The worst part happens when I look over to see a family that got to the restaurant 15 min after us eating the dish I was told was not available because they weren’t serving breakfast. So needless to say I was pretty upset.
I can only assume he wanted to up sell us as all the brunch foods are much more complex and expensive. Either way....not great food either and even worse service. I’d steer clear.
Great atmosphere and beautiful place!
The food was quite good; service was professional if not attentive; the restaurant is beautiful. I would recommend it and would go back.
We had a blast celebrating Thanksgiving at Dragonfly! We loved the ambience, decor, friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried Thanksgiving menu: the roasted beats, mushroom soup, sea bass and turkey, and some cocktails. Everything was mouthwatering! It was our first time to try Dragonfly and we definitely will be back soon!
Our server took ten minutes to come over, then at least another ten to come back with drinks. After we ordered our food, we didn’t see our server again the rest of the meal. There was someone to refill our drinks, another dropped off food and a third brought us the check when we waved him over. While the food was good, it seemed like an expensive dinner when the service was so lacking.
The service was adequate. It was a Wed night so it wasn't too loud or crowded. The environment is fun and stylish. It took a while to get some service but it was our wedding anniversary and we weren't in an hurry. The table top was a paper cover of table cloth. It was not changed before we sat down. Those are my only two complaints. The food was great and they helped us celebrate our anniversary by throwing in some desserts. Overall a good time!
We went there with no expectations ( not even reading the reviews). It was a very Pleasant surprise! Starting with the Vala, the young hostess and a very nice Gentleman Kevin that took care of us. Was really nice. To top that the food was delicious.
This speaks highly about the people that have hired such nice people.
We had a good time.
Next time we will show up with our family.
Akbar & Suzanne
Thank you so much for a wonderful evening! We were celebrating a very special private night, and you accommodated us very warmly. We so appreciated the special table in the wine room, the exquisite service, and the yummy cheesecake dessert. Thank you for caring about our experience, and for treating us like a king and queen! <3 <3
Enjoyed dinner at Dragonfly. Service, food and environment was very good.
We were celebrating our anniversary everyone was very professional
The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection
Very relaxed evening no pressure to move us out to turn the tables
I made a reservation early in the morning for dinner. When I arrived they sat me in the bar. Then I was asked for a card or room number to "start a tab". Wha? They soon realized their error and more than made it up to me. Comped my drinks and moved me to a more comfortable table. Great service, excellent food, and nice atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!
It was delicious
Food was disappointing. Service was excellent. No sides with the main course.
Staying at the hotel, so very convenient to go there.
Service at the restaurant, like all service at Zaza was excellent.
Both of us ordered chicken dishes, which were very good.
Great birthday celebration!
Max was great.
First time there and will return soon and bring friends. Service and food was excellent expecially the server. Cute and attentive.
