Love coming here friendly staff really good food, great wine selection.
The create your own dish was excellent. I had the cheese ravioli, scallops, steamed spinach with garlic in the white wine sauce. The sauce was a little watery and would have been better if it was much thicker. The cheese ravioli, scallops and spinach though were outstanding, as was the garden salad and bread with olive oil and grated cheese. Next time I will ask for a thicker white wine sauce and also try the atmosphere in the evening.
I was spoiled growing up in an area that had excellent Italian food and I have traveled to Italy as well. Unfortunately it is hard to find really good Italian food in Northern Virginia (at least the way I know it). THIS PLACE is where we go! We LOVE the food here, and the service is great as well. We always see the same servers, so they must be doing something right for their staff. They make their limoncello in house, believe it or not. The bacon wrapped shrimp in lobster cream sauce and the lamb lollipops were amazing. I think what I like best is you can make a reservation and be seated within 5 minutes (if not immediately) of that time. They have kept their patio open year round since Covid started (with heaters), so we have felt very safe here and are able to make a patio reservation (most other places don't guarantee patio seating, but they will). Just go, it's a little gem!
The food is always great there. They were a little understaffed so we had a little wait on the food. All good, they are still rebounding from the COVID scam.
Restaurant has a lot going for it, but it needs some noise dampening.
Excellent find. We have been looking for a great Italian restaurant and we found it in Dolce Vita. This will be on our regular rotation.
This place is fantastic. Food is amazing! It is quite small so you should get a reservation. We have been here twice and both times it was amazing.
Loved that there is more than one area to eat, a reg restaurant and the wine bar.
An outstanding place for a quiet meal and conversation. The quintessential neighborhood Italian restaurant. The staff was superb and the food quality was excellent. Portions were just right. Dessert was also perfect for the meal. A great place to end a busy day or to bring family for a lunch or dinner.
Sat outside on a the patio and truly enjoyed our meal, service and experience. Can ALWAYS count on Dolce Vita to be great.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends and it was so nice to see the restaurant doing well! Our server Jose is wonderful he has been with Dolce for a long time and does an excellent job. He knows the menu and wines well and has great suggestions. They had a squid ink fettuccine special with calamari and sausage which was excellent! I don’t eat meat but they were very happy to give me shrimp instead of the sausage. Other choices were Penne arrabbiata which was also cooked perfectly with a nice bit of heat to it, and a seafood fettuccine. We shared an excellent bottle of red wine and had a delightful evening!
Excellent food, all right people in our party enjoyed their dishes, even the kids.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. We had a great time the only small pitfall is the price of the meals were a little higher than expected.
We drove 20 miles from Ashburn to get here. Food was “lick the plate” delicious. Our waiter was very good however. It took 40 minutes to be served our entrees. Waiter told us it’s because takeout is prepared by same chef as fine dining and they were getting crushed on a Friday night with takeout. My wife noted the party seated after us was being served before us. Not sure why we had to wait like 20 minutes after a salad and bread course to get the main entrees. They do serve some of the best in Italian Fare.
So nice to finally get out and enjoy a good meal. We appreciate you making our evening special.
Our search for our neighborhood Italian spot has ended. This is OUR spot! We have driven by many times and finally gave it a shot on Valentines and wish we had tried years ago. It was a wonderful experience start to finish. Place was jumping which was great to see and the wine bar had such a great vibe. Riley our server made it so much fun (we have small kids so don't get out that much) and had great recommendations. Appetizers, salads, and entrees were all excellent (better than anything we've had in DC and half the price). Great portions and everything was cooked to perfection. And VERY reasonable - 3 glasses of wine and 3 courses for two was barely more than $100! Don't make the mistake we did try this neighborhood gem ASAP!
Whether lunch for one or a dinner celebration with many, Dolce Vita is always consistent. Good neighbor restaurant my family and I enjoy!
First time here and was quite pleased with the food. Excellent service throughout our meal. Though some diners down from us spoke loud and obnoxious, we had a wonderful time and will return!
It was simply amazing
The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional!
Great fresh pasta. Calamari was best we have had in a while. The Alfredo sauce was a little bland but the Americana pizza was spot on.
Great service and food! Excellent wine choices every time I’ve dined here!
Great staff! Good food.
The service was excellent, the food was good but not great and well proportioned, but the prices were really quite high. I've had better meals at Carrabba's for less than half the price. Not a bad experience just considerable more than we expected to pay for the quality of the food.
Delicious foods. We did indoor seating. Workers are all wearing masks. They are all nice and friendly! Will recommend
The food, the food, the food...... definitely the food. It ruined our Christmas Eve dinner.
Completely bland (all 3 dishes). One of my guests was served undercooked chicken (it’s hard to undercook breaded chicken)
The pasta seemed like it had been blanched last week and reconstituted prior to serving it.
The cream Prosecco sauce in my dish was more like heated heavy cream added to the plate without a single grain of salt, pepper or garlic.
Not sure what happened to this place, food used to be decent. Oh well, is off my list now.
Wonderful food and service. Will definitely return.
The evening was perfect. Food was fantastic. Waiter was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed everything.
We came in for an early Christmas Eve dinner. We were the only family in the wine bar area which always perfect for COVID precautions. The service and the food were outstanding.
Very nice little Italian restaurant with some very good dishes at a reasonable price. Friendly staff.
Always perfect!
Excellent!
They opened the regular dinning area and it was bright, loud, and our server rushed us through dinner and tried to up sell us on everything.
Been here many times and today food was way off. Everything came out cold and didn’t taste good. Could have be a different cook/chef for lunch hours.
Food and service outstanding
Outdoor heaters
Cannot recommend the food here, it is bland. The dishes are not presented authentically and lack true flavor. The servers are very nice though.
Its been a while. Used to go quite frequently when i lived close
The food was beyond superb snd the service was fabulous
Glad you are open and surviving in these crazy times
Late birthday celebration
We have been going to Dolce Vita for many, many years and the food keeps getting better! Our server Jose is fantastic and has been there for a long time as well. His suggestions are spot on.. I asked about the scallops or one of the specials and he steered me toward the scallops. They were cooked perfectly, accompanied by broccoli i and butternut squash polenta..heaven! Another in our party had the snapper special which was a beautiful presentation and she said it was very good. Others had pasta dishes, all were served piping hot . A great evening with great food and friends!
Pandemic restrictions requiring tent and outdoor dining expose diners to considerable traffic noise, but food quality and service adequately compensate.
