Dish n' Dat
Super friendly and attentive staff! Yummy food.
Dish & Dat is a good place for family night dinners. The food is good as well as the service.
This was the first time I have tried their new location and was pleased with its homey ambiance. The menu is extensive and eclectic/eccentric. Food is American comfort food. Portions are large.
Food was very good. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. Nice place to go with a family.
Terrific! Love the new location and the food was great, as always ! Highly recommend.
Hamburg was like shoe leather when medium rare was ordered. Service great. Too bad food wasn’t.
We had breakfast items, for lunch. Menu covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Good service. Like the feel of the new location.
Breakfast potatoes tasted terrible with strong vinegar type flavor.the bacon was very much under cooked. I am not sure we will be back.
Our family of 12 enjoyed our dinner at Dish n 'Dat. All 5 children were very happy with their meals. We highly recommend it!
WAS EXPECTING A LITTLE BIT MORE AS FAR AS THE LOBSTER - TASTED GOOD - JUST NOT ENOUGH OF IT -
WAITRESS WAS EXCELLENT
We had a terrific Sunday morning breakfast. Service was spot on and the food was terrific. We always enjoy Dish and Dat
The hostess was very rude. Considering we had reservations I was surprised how rude she was. Service started out fine but the waitress disappeared and it was tough to get more drinks, our check etc. She never cleared a single dirty plate, no excuse for that. Disappointing for sure.
Usually, the service is great. Not certain what was going on during our past visit, but the waitperson we had was largely disinterested in us.
We used to frequent this restaurant. In the last year the quality of the food has deteriorated. My salad has rusty and no one cared to correct the issue. We sat at an end table and all we smelt was the bathroom. Last time for us.
Great service (Kate is the best). The food was delicious! One of our favorite places!!!
Dish n' Dat continues to update their menu and their food is generally very good. The service on this slow evening was also very good and a good time was had by all.
I’ve had some pretty awful dining experiences but that has to be one of the worst. Our waitress was SO cranky and SLOW (it’s Valentine’s Day, come on, can’t you force a small smile and be nice??), the food (after an HOUR waiting) was HORRIFIC, we sent half back. If someone paid me I wouldn’t return; it’s such a shame as the decor/ambiance was actually quite nice!
Waited a little longer than expected for placing order but after that staff was very good.
There were 4 of us eating tonight and the food was good as always!
Hands down our waitress was the best we’ve had anywhere in a very long time! And she had really cool hair.
I had a great experience at Dish N Dat, the server was exceptional, very friendly and on point. The menu offers many options, all of which promise to be very delicious. The atmosphere is a cool 50s/60s diner feel and was pretty cool. Definitely a great place to grab a bite. I had a steak sandwich and my girlfriend had a burger after we split an appetizer of spinach and artichoke, everything was so good!
So many choices and everything was delicious. Friendly servers and a great spot to sit outside on a gorgeous day.
We had reservations for Father’s Day. They gave us a very small round booth and we were very squished with 2 older people that had a hard time getting into the booth. The service was slow. We tried to order coffee and she didn’t take our drink order. We ordered and then people who sat down 15 min after we ordered got served before us. When we got served only 1/2 of us got served and the other half waited for our waitress to serve 2 other tables before the rest of us got food. Some of it was wrong and she didn’t want to correct it but we had to push to get the correct order. No apologies for late, wrong and cold food And she never came back. We had to flag her down to get coffee and butter. Really poor service. And I mean BAD. Some plates were cold. It took 2 hrs to order and finish our food after we were seated. For breakfast!! There were seven of us and a baby. And they wouldn’t give us a high chair even though they had a bunch sitting there so we had a squirming 1 yr old in a booster seat with no strap. I won’t go back.
Outdoor patio was really nice for breakfast. Everything was delicious, portions were huge. Service was ok but to our server's defense, I think our she had several tables inside and we were one of her only tables outside so she was pretty busy. There were things that we asked for and either didn't receive or had to wait a while to receive- they were minor things like sugar for coffee and more water. The lumberjack platter was massive that we didn't really get around to the pancakes but we realized no one had brought out maple syrup for anyone. Along with the platter, we had the malted waffle with berries and whipped cream, their house made corned beef hash, and cinnabun pancakes. Coffee was flowing and food was excellent. We have been told by other diners that they had excellent experiences here both earlier in the day and later at night. Everyone was overly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely give it another try.
We really like Dish & Dat. The staff is very friendly & helpful, the food is always good and we like the daily specials. The menu is huge, so I can always find something I like.
We do a 'Ladies Nite Out' every month Each month we go to a different restaurant. There were 8 of us eating there a couple of days ago. We always get separate checks. The wait staff at some restaurants give us a bad look when we ask for the separate checks...The waitress at Dish & Dat was really OK with it.
The waitress kept coming over, asking if everything was OK...Very attentive.
It was a really nice evening out.
Second time I had a steak with enormous amounts of fat and gristle. Not worth the steak night special price. I won’t get steak here again. Spouse got a black bean burger that used to come with lettuce and tomato but came plain. And for the second time s tsp beer was flat. Won’t order beer on tap here again.
Love Dish n Dat! Great little diner feel with a bar. Amazing menu and good prices. Best part if the 50% of food in the restaurant area from 9p-12a M-Sa!
Reserved a table and was seated on time. The decor was very cool. Reminded one of an old time diner. Very extensive menu from bar food to comfort food and even full dinners.
Server was very attentive and prompt. Great milkshakes apps and burgers. Our ,earl was terrific
The music was playing overhead and provided a nice atmosphere.
Casual clothes is the dress for this restaurant all ages are welcome
I would recommend this restaurant for a fun very good meal.
Met my parents here with my boyfriend for breakfast. He and I were celebrating Passover while my folks were not, and the restaurant was wonderful in providing non-grain options. Woohoo!
The staff here is very friendly! We come here often. The menu is large and sure to have something to please anyone.
A great go-to place cause always consistently good.
Overall great experience, staff, atmosphere, and food were just a really good experience in general.
YUM. Really good dinner food. We got the snickers and cookie dough milkshakes GREAT. And the pork sliders and lamb burgers. GOOD fries.
Service was good.
Our first time there but won't be our last! Loved the décor and . . . variety of choices. Do-o-o clean and friendly!
Excellent as always!! 🤗
As always - Dish n Dat is OK. Not great, but OK. Pricing remains $2-$4 more per entre than it should be for the location and type of food they offer. The atmosphere is just OK - there are elements of a 50's diner and a sort of 'atomic café vibe, but the effort is half-hearted. Weekend breakfast is very good, but they don't open nearly early enough on a Saturday morning. Place could be a Canton gem, but they just don't seem to get what they have to do to improve.
I am a big fan and frequent diner at Dish in downtown Hartford - I would love to be able to have a similar feeling about Dish n Dat.
Reservation. Slow service, not overly busy. Owner walked by and could see we asked bus boy twice for waitress. Owner indifferent to customers. Won't be back.
I've been to Dish and Dat several times recently. I live in NYC, but head back to Canton CT regularly for work. I'm always impressed with the food and service there. The menu is wide-ranging, like a 24 hour diner, but all the food is the quality of a top rated restaurant. I love that I can go there and always have something new, but also know it will be great food.
This was our first time at Dish n Dat and we loved it! We went there for a Mother's Day breakfast and will definitely be back! We had a reservation but expected that there might be a wait time due to the holiday but we were seated on time. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was top notch! We look forward to coming back very soon!
It took over an hour to have breakfast served and the food was tasteless and not cooked properly and way overpriced!!!! We called the manager over to tell him how dissatisfied we were and he didn't even apologize - he grabbed our check with attitude and said we were all set. Don't waste your time. I didn't think it was possible to screwup breakfast! They need new cooks!chefs.
