5 Friends occassionally book a surprise Monday. This was also a Birthday Celebration & it could not have been better. The set lunch was both delicious & exactly the right amount of food, beautifully presented.
Quite probably the best lunch we have ever enjoyed. Thank you all.
Meat fruit: beautiful execution on the liver and orange jelly, not fatty at all, even refreshing I would say. But the bread served with it is soaked in butter, smells great, but ruined the taste of the refreshing orange flavour. I would only finish the liver as a starter. If the bread can be refined, I would say this is a wonderful dish.
Pork chop: best garnish I have ever tasted, with only one flaw is that the vegetable is not quite ‘juicy’. Speaking of juicy, the pork is very juicy and chewy at the beginning, but when I get to the meat near the bone, it is way too chewy and a bit over cooked. Overall I would say a dish that is wonderful on garnish, but slightly disappointing on the main character.
Eggs in verjuice: just wonderful. I do feel that the “egg shell” made by coco fat is a bit flavourless. Hence, I recommend people order the pigeon as main course, so the garnish artichoke can enlarge the sweetness.
Fantastic place for a 40th birthday celebration. Service, food and wine waiter amazing. Probably the most delicious pudding I have ever eaten in my life!
The food and service we received were both excellent. The dishes were exactly what you would expect at a 1 or 2 star Michelin restaurant.
If I had one issue I'd say it was the price. There are better restaurants in the area charging less. This was not a multi-sensory cooking experience, and I wasn't expecting one. But it did feel like I was paying for something more that I received.
One of the best dinners I've had, every dish was divine and perfectly executed, the service was also outstanding. Will definitely go back!
Service very attentive
Food was interesting and tasty, especially the squid
Could have done with more bread for the pate!
Catered for gluten free diner very well
Dining room was VERY noisy - struggled to hear much conversation
Obviously very pricey
Food was great, service left a bit to be desired. It was a special occasion and yet no one really showed any interest in how our evening had gone, they just wanted to be paid. Probably won’t go back.
Fantastic service, good ambience. The tipsy cake was an absolute delight. However, we felt that the octopus was too salty and the room temperature was too warm.
Very polished experience, smooth and high quality in every aspect as expected. Slightly surprised that there was no amuse-bouche. Child made to feel welcome and there were good food suggestions for children with smaller portions. Would return.
We had a lovely time there. Service was exceptional and the food very good. We opted for the set lunch and the pace when the food was served was perfect.
The wine list was full of choices and prices very reasonable
All in all a pleasant experience and the price was good. We would go back
Exceptional dinning experience on all aspects, not to mention the beautiful view of Hyde Park in the autumn sunshine
Great food, great story, lovely atmosphere would recommend.
Unbelievable service, very knowledgable waiter's. Fantastic food!
Always incredible food and service without question one of London’s best dining experiences, I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints .... ❤️
Overall a really good meal. We had the rice and flesh and tea cured salmon to start, the fillet of Hereford beef and roast halibut for mains and the brown bread ice cream and tipsy cake for dessert. The rice and flesh was tasty but the tea cured salmon didn't make that much of an impact. The roast halibut and Hereford beef fillet were great; the triple cooked chips, whilst really crispy on the outside, wasn't my preference but the mashed potatoes were so good. The tipsy cake was really good; the brown bread ice cream is an acquired taste, probably not one I would have again. Needless to say this restaurant isn't cheap! The only points of criticism I have are: there was no amuse bouche - which you would expect from a two michelin establishment - and they didn't serve warm bread. Despite that definitely worth a visit.
The noise was to much. Really not okay. The wine card is good but in the more expensive end. You can find better wines to same price
Starters were very nice, but steaks Ribeye and Beef Filet were just ordinary, not exceptional as we expected to have.
Start to finish
We were first time London visitors, looking for a unique dining experience. Diners will definitely get this at DINNER by Blumenthal !! Being amateur Anglophiles, the menu at DINNER fit the bill. Their research and modern take on ancient historical English meals left us planning our next trip next year. Absolutely wonderful in all respects!
Best Representative of the British cuisine with the magnificent views over Hyde Park.Out of the world Triple cooked fries , and I have been more that 10 times before I believe this time were the best in every way perfect!!!They serve the best British cheese as well and of course the frogs legs with a fantastically refreshing but heart pleasing chlorophyll sauce is a product of a genius!
This is our favourite restaurant in London. Everything is amazing from the stylish, elegant decor to the very tasty food - and not to forget the amazing staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
It would be expected but sometimes not realized for an establishment that commands a high price on its menu to uphold a high level of service plus excellent food. Dinner by Heston does that. The service was top notch and personable and informative. The servers knew the menu and its provenance and spent the time with us to answer questions and provide recommendations. The kitchen professionals ably concocted our dishes and they were superb. Presentation was excellent.
Went for a 40th dinner with my partner. Food was good but not as good as I’ve had in other London restaurants. Host service and from hotel was great. Waiters were fine but not great. It was nice, but didn’t warrant the price tag. You pay for Hestons name and MO’s name.
Anniversary dinner with girlfriend and well worth the whole experience. From start to finish the staff went out of their way to make sure that we had a great time.
The only let down was the doorman who was less than hospitable when we first entered
