Neighbors, locals, and out of towners alike will become regulars after experiencing the brand of hospitality offered by New Orleans’ only five “A” restaurant. The introductions of brunch, live music, cocktails, and now an extensive happy hour continue the newest culinary chapter for a storied local haunt, embracing New Orleans’ culinary culture while placing contemporary spin on traditional New Orleans cuisine.

I am very picky when it comes to Japanese food. I was at a conference and stumbled in to this delightful restaurant. There is only counter service build around the sushi chefs. The service and the food was spectacular. The atmosphere was peaceful and classy. I suggest a reservation

GW Fins is one of my NOLA favorites. A lot of others too for a Monday it seemed. The service was excellent and the dinner delicious. The little biscuits are so good and I enjoyed the house specialty of halibut and scallop or Scalibut. The lobster bisque was prepared just right with a little sherry. Altogether a lovely evening.

About the restaurant
Shaya restaurant marries Israeli staples with Southern flavors and modern techniques, striking a balance between innovation and tradition. Highly recommend the lamb ragu hummus and pita bread. The hangar steak dish was good too. Our server said if you order hummus or salatim you get complimentary pita. It was the BEST pita we have had in our lives, to die for! The hummus is very creamy, delicious, and the lamb is incredible. Shaya Parking was limited beside the building (about 10 spots) but street parking is available, not sure if it’s all paid. 10/10 server, experience, ambiance, food and all! Reserve early.
