East Nashville
About the restaurant
A 14 seat, neighborhood Omakase from the team that brought you Noko Nashville. This is a 14 course, 90min nigiri & hand roll dining experience for $75. We highly recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to enjoy a drink at our Japanese cocktail bar as we start promptly at your reservation time. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the cuisine, we will not be able to accommodate fish allergies or vegetarians.

Always an amazing experience. Food and service is top notch. The interaction with the chefs during service makes it more of an event and less a “meal”.

This is the 2nd time we’ve gone and brought 2 other friends with us. The service was amazing and everything we had was spectacular. The drinks were also really good. I loved the sweater weather drink and best dish of the night had to be those Korean hot wings and the district sando. My group ordered hamachi crudo, tuna crispy rice, bone marrow, the district sando, crab fried rice, Korean hot wings, crispy potatoes, grilled ginger chicken, market catch, and wagyu brisket. For dessert we had the hojicha cake.

Music City stalwart with a menu of intriguing plates, combinations, seasoning, service and presentation. Midtown also respects, protects and burnishes the legacy of beloved and indefatigable raconteur Randy Rayburn. The staff is cordial, attentive, and responsive and it leaves you with the impression they are one big family. Kristine was fantastic this morning and emblematic of all who seat and serve you. I consider Midtown Cafe to be a convenient and terrific setting for a family occasion, to sit alone and dine at the bar, or to conduct a business meeting. I have done this often. Randy's greeting was always, "Welcome to our home." He meant it. Midtown continues to feel like home and there's a reason Nashville boasts The Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts at Nashville State. Special man, special commitment to pleasing his guests, and what impact he had on the community. For me, there's a magnetic pull to return. I do not resist it.

Cute neighborhood restaurant great for date night or any day of the week. I personally love the smaller menu of options to choose from, and they have a variety of select wines, too! The short rib was phenomenal - my wife had the salmon and love it. Attentive service without pestering you. Overall awesome experience, and we’ll be back for sure!
