The exciting twenty-eight seat restaurant d’floret is a modern elegantly-lit stage, featuring an open kitchen and adjoining dining room that exhibit the chef’s dual passions: Foy’s paintings and culinary mastery. The space is accented by a floor-to- ceiling Black Walnut Nakashima panel, lighting by Ayala Serfaty, the Israeli artist, with Arnie Jacobsen modern Classic chairs, finishing the sleek warm welcoming room. Please note, due to high demand and limited seating, in addition to online holds we require diners call the restaurant to reconfirm your by 12pm day of, or it will not be honored.

First of all, the outside seating in the back of the restaurant is just beautiful and all seating is clearly 6' apart or more. The owners are very serious about following the State guidelines for cleanliness and they adhered carefully to all requirements.
Most of all, the food was so fresh and delicious. Chef always creates an interesting and exciting menu based on the fresh seasonal food that he purchased that day at the local market. As an appetizer, we shared an incredible cucumber salad that had a hint of mint which was wonderful. For the main, I had the jumbo shrimp and my partner had the salmon-both dinners we top quality. We shared the Chef's special chocolate dessert and loved the espresso from the new espresso machine! In a normal situation, I would frequent this restaurant 2-3 times a month and I must say, I have missed these special dinners at D'Floret. We always feel at home, love bringing our own bottles of wine, and are never disappointed by the excellent dinners. The service is excellent, and the presentation(s) of the food is beautiful. A hidden gem in Lambertville.
Everything about D'Floret is simply fabulous, I can't wait to return!
This is a very small space that seats 24 and the tables are packed in pretty tight so I would go on a Thursday or Sunday night if you want to have a quieter more relaxed experience. (we went on a Sunday). The kitchen is also small and is right there (a small barrier is in place), the owner is the chef and his wife is the server. The food was great, service - no complaints. We will be back!
Great evening with friends. Food cannot be beat, I love this place.
This very small restaurant is owned by a husband and wife team in which the husband does all the cooking. To say that he is a world class chef would be an understatement. They only have a few tables and only accept cash. Outstanding.
A small, comfortable place with consistently excellent food. A seafood heavy menu which I love, but is a bit problematic for my husband. Stella is a lovely welcoming presence, the byob policy is a plus, along with a pleasant noise level. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.
I keep following Dennis Foy around and he continues to earn terrific praise. I had the perfect piece of halibut after the most melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi. I don’t know why he likes these small cramped places. More people need to enjoy his talents.
The food was nice, not excellent or very memorable. The entrees were overpriced for what was on the plate and we were hungry again a short time later. Noise level was pretty high on the Saturday night we went. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
For years I had been wanting to go to d’floret so this Valentine’s Day we finally did. Everything was excellent! From the food, service, decor and ambiance, it well exceeded my expectations! I will definitely go back again.
A beautiful meal in a lovely, warm room. We were happy.
Amazing perfection in every bite! Bring your own wine, champagne or both and enjoy!!
First time here but definitely not the last time. Small intimate restaurant with husband and wife team that make you feel warm and welcome. The menu is limited but then again everything from soup to nuts is homemade. Food, service, etc was excellent. Highly recommend!
Boutique restaurant where the chef and his wife make you feel like you are a special guest in their home. Small, warm artistic atmosphere. And of course, delicious food!
This place is fantastic!
OUTSTANDING DINNER! The chef is truly talented and produces high quality flavors. His wife is super nice and attentive. We truly enjoyed the table side chatter. This place brings an nice ambience to the restaurant.
Our new favorite place to dine. Dennis is a phenomenal chef and his wife a great compliment to the whole experience
This is the best restaurant in New Jersey. There's no competition. Just drive down here, bring your cash, and prepare to be amazed with every bite; start to finish.
It is the most amazing food in New Jersey, let alone Lambertville and New Hope. I live part time in France and this is what Paris was like 15 years ago. If your looking for amazing food, intimate atmosphere, look no further. Well Done!
The staff and chef are very friendly. The room is very small, not may tables. The food was good but pricey.
The food was perfect. Staff charming and even though it is a small space it wasn’t too noisy. Delicious French food expertly cooked. The skate was a special while we were there and it was a masterpiece. Other chefs overly brown the butter which causes it to dominate the delicate fish. Not this skilled chef. The butter complemented the perfectly cooked fish. The mushroom soup (also a special) delighted my husband. My husband is more meat and potatoes than lentils and staff was accommodating and gave him pureed fingerlings instead which were unbelievable creamy and decadent. We could not have had a better meal or evening anywhere else and will return soon and often.
The menus is small but don’t let that discourage you. Every item was delicious. Limited choices but all perfect.
Fabulous food and warm, efficient service. It was very loud in the restaurant, making conversation hard, but once the table next to us left we could talk.
I love this place. The food is out-of-this-world delicious and you're treated like family.
Great, comfortable local restaurant that attracts people who appreciate food, service and ambiance. Chef Dennis and hostess Estella make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in their cozy restaurant.
This was truly one of the best meals I have ever had. The appetizers were made from the freshest ingredients. You could taste the care that went into preparation. And the lamb chops were out of this world.
Excellent food and service
What an intimate dining experience that is a personal expression of the owners. The food is sublime and since it's a BYO, the liquor bill is tempered. D'floret is a destination restaurant with a casual ambience, appropriate for a weekday evening out or the most special of occasions.
I rarely write a review; however, feel compelled to for our visit to D'Floret. I can't wait to go back. I've seen the building for some time now and always wondered what it was. So happens we selected to go to D'Floret without realizing this is the restaurant I've been wondering about. So glad we did.
Excellent milieu, excellent menu, excellent meal, excellent service, owners are outstanding.
To sum it up - we will be back!
An amazing and wonderful experience. Owner was gratuitous and attentive, service excellent and the food was perfectly prepared with top ingredients. A memorable night out.
If the Skate is on special don’t miss it!
A beautiful setting to celebrate our newly empty nest. A lovely spot hidden away from the crowded, trendy streets of Lambertville. The small, intimate space is charming and unique, with beautiful artwork and stunning centerpiece lighting. The hostess and staff were attentive, yet unobtrusive. The menu was varied and creative. Each of our selections were beautifully presented and quite delicious. Try the creme brûlée... it was remarkable!
Rarely does a $30-$40 entree live up to the billing. I would have paid double.
WE HAVE HAD MANY LOVELY MEALS AT D'FLORET. WE LOVE THE INTIMACY OF THE SPACE AND THE CHEF AND HIS WIFE ARE VERY WELCOMING.
Food was off the charts! We had squash soup (I’ll never forget), rack of lamb (how in the world did the chef create this?), smoke salmon/beet appetizer (I almost cried it was so good), and a tuna main course.
It’s our new favorite restaurant! We’ve been going about twice a month- perfectly seasoned food. I never even ask for a salt shaker- it’s just so flavorful. Service is attentive by Estella. Recommendations are always spot on. Every time we take someone new, they can’t wait to go back. Very creative menu. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
Outstanding food— a really amazing place. We’ll be back!
Best meal Ive had in a long time. This hidden gem will be my new go to place (byob & cash only). Definitely order the Tian crab (app) and share the Strip Steak (it’s enormous). Don’t skimp on dessert, you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic French cuisine. Owners are very friendly.
Consistently an absolutely wonderful and intimate restaurant. Delicious entrees and desserts!
