Dining area is right next to the bar, so it was very loud. However, food was nice and service was good.

Really lovely food but don’t bother with the ‘mince and potatoes’, you will be disappointed. My pheasant and bacon pie was fabulous and came with some lovely Savoy cabbage so didn’t need the chips I ordered! Didn’t have a pud as too full! Great buzzy atmosphere at lunch but there were 8 of us on a big table and it was very difficult for our waiter to hear us and vice versa. Also, they do that thing I hate of taking your wine bottle away so you are at their mercy of remembering to top up your glass. We asked for the wine to be left on the table but that seems to confuse. But these are minor points and I highly recommend.

Have been here many times. It has been one of our favourite spots for Sunday Lunch for a while. This is our first visit this year and couldn't help feeling the standards have slipped a little. The food wasn't up to it's normal high level and the service was really hit and miss, and quite frankly annoying. A shame as it's so good normally... Has it changed hands? Is it resting on it's laurels? Will have to wait and see.

Great place but we had an issue with getting our table. We have waited over half an hour and after complaining we got the apologies and a prosseco on the house. The waiter was super friendly and helped to recover the evening. The food was also very tasty. Overall a very nice evening after the initial hiccup.

Was disappointed they don’t have a proper brunch menu but just a very basic breakfast menu. What we had was lovely though

Lovely atmosphere. Very old worldly. The service was great. The food was good although only criticism is they don't cater that well for non meat eaters.

We went for the pre-theatre dinner. We had salmon followed by their cheeseburger which was delicious! The restaurant is lovely. The service was excellent. I’m not sure that the two course dinner is such a bargain but no complaints

Really delicious roast meats - had the pork and beef at the table. The sides were okay. My friend’s roasties were amazing while mine looked underdone. The Yorkshire’s really good. The veg sides were nothing to shout about. Sticky toffee pudding made my day. Waitress was great, friendly, and knew her stuff however I thought the host who took our coats seemed very snobby and initially it felt very unwelcoming. Luckily the waitress and general ambiance of the place slowly put me at ease again. Probably a bit on the pricey side for a Sunday roast but if your focus is the meat, then this place seems like a safe bet for it.

The food and service were fantastic. The location was great and the building also excellent. We would have preferred somewhere a little quieter but perhaps we should’ve expected this given the location. If you’re looking for a high quality meal with a bit of a buzz then this place is ideal, if looking for somewhere to enjoy a romantic meal then just be prepared for the busyness. Again though, the meal and service were exemplary.

I used to love coming here and always had a really great time. However the fish and chips I had this time was absolutely dreadful - Awful fish and soggy batter. Terrible chips. I was very ill after the meal. Sadly it’s completely put me off what used to be one of my favourite places to eat.

The chef is great! I have dietary restrictions and a friend is gluten free and they were great at making sure we didn't die!! The food is excellent and the environment is great! My partner and I have been on several occasions and will continue to go back. Make sure to get the soufflé started - it is to die for!!!

Nearly as perfect as the previous 5 times we have been for Sunday Roast. Unfortunately on this occasion, the bread was forgotten with the starter. So the soup came out and we had to ask for the bread, which had clearly been forgotten. We were advised that the bread would take 10/15 minutes. So by time the bread came, the soup was finished. This is super unfortunate because the bread is 40% part of the reason we go! Apart from that the rest of the meal and experience lived up to being “The Best Roast Dinner in London” It would be nice to one day see a Lamb option for the Roast Dinner. I could imagine Dean Street Town House to do a pretty mean Lamb Roast!

We chose The Townhouse as it was recommended in a book “London for instagrammers “ as a great brunch stop. We both had the full English breakfast and it was very good. The service was exceptional, and we thorough enjoyed the whole experience.

Food is consistently good, great vibe inside, reasonable prices. Good for a date or a casual catch up. The food took a while to come (50mins from ordering breakfast) and a few other tables around us also had to chase for their food, but otherwise a safe and great choice.
