Good fun. I love the ambience in there, especially pre-theatre. We were there around 6pm in the evening and, by the time we left, there was a decent queue. We’ll definitely come back. Knocked a star off the value as the water was expensive and, if you stray from the set menu, the price rapidly increases. But, the food is good.

Lovely atmosphere with great service, & ‘bubbles’ served in the right glasses (in my opinion!) Fish & chips were excellent. This place is definitely worth a visit if in SoHo - need to book as popular.

Lovely venue to spend the time between the two shows at the theatre. Not much choice for a vegetarian - but ok if you eat fish.

Very limited brunch menu, and food OK, but not outstanding. Service started off being incredibly efficient and friendly, but sever changed and restaurant got busier and service tailed off considerably, to the point that we only just made it to the theatre in time.

Went here for a mid-week afternoon tea. The food was delicious, tea (and their house champagne!) very refreshing and the service was excellent. It was warm and cosy and very relaxing. Thank you to all the team.

My partner and I were seeing a show at the Soho Theatre and decided to try the theatre menu. The options were great, and we opted to have 3 courses. The best thing is that you can have 2 courses before the show and go back for dessert and you receive a complimentary glass of prosecco.

The service was very attentive and the quality of the food was excellent. he portions were generous and the wine list is very good. The theatre menu is excellent value. Would definitely go back.

Good food, excellent service in atmospheric surroundings. Would come again. Pre theatre menu is limited but good enough, Restaurant is near to Shaftsbury avenue and therefore convenient for many of the London theatres

Food was cold. Service a little slow as the restaurant was full. We were given a low table - very uncomfortable. Make sure you ask for a proper table when you book if you find low seating uncomfortable.
I have had many good experiences at DST and this one did not live up to the usual high standard.

New to this restaurant and was very buzzy & welcoming. Staff very attentive, service very efficient and our fish was excellent. Interesting ambiance and would like to try again for lunch when maybe a bit quieter.

We return to Dean St. every year when visiting London From New York. It has now been many years and though it has changed in menu, it has remained a consistently pleasurable experience. It is one of the nicest rooms to dine in of anywhere we know.

Very nice place with attentive staff. I definitely recommend. Not a crazy looking menu, it is no nonsense British food as the baseline and a little more.
My food was lukewarm and they simply replaced it completely (I was happy to have it warmed up...)
Wine list is quite long if that is your thing.
Found it a bit busy at the time we arrived (20.30) but it is a small price to pay...I guess others have been and loved it too!

We had planned to have afternoon tea but after eating so much in the Xmas period we were very pleased to be able to mix and match from the tea menu and have a cream tea with some sandwiches. It was very good value. The sandwiches were dainty and tasty and the scones light. Very nice indeed. I would definitely go back. We had a very charming and friendly waiter.
Loos were a mess. They need some waste paper baskets, tissues all over the floor and in basins.

I treated myself to a weekday brunch here after seeing that they were tipped in a TimeOut list of best brunches in London. I was not disappointed. The Dean Street Townhouse has a lovely interior, it's calm and intimate despite its size. The staff were friendly and attentive, but never intrusive.
The food was lovely, being mostly brunch classics made from well sourced ingredients. My full English was one of the best I've ever had. Two brunches with coffee and service came to ~£35, well worth it given the quality of the venue, food and service.

Me and a client had the roast chicken which was very good, however it came as Roast Chicken and roast potatoes only with no veg. We did not order veg as assumed that it would be part of the meal, but it wasn't and the waiter did not advise that the chicken came with no vegetables, which is odd as this dish would almost always come with vegetables. Other than that, all very good.

Service was ok. Food that should have been hot came out totally cold. After we brought it to their attention they made it right and replaced everything with properly cooked versions. Ambiance was good. Was an ok experience but would not come back, particularly when considering the price tag.

A pleasant lunchtime visit. We arrived ahead of our booking but were quickly accommodated in what was more of a bar area rather than the restaurant which was a bit odd as it wasn't busy. Down side to this was that we were surrounded by young children which made it a bit noisy but it was comfortable. Waiting staff were not knowledgeable about the range of gins on offer, asked if they had a spiced one to which the reply was I don't know, no soft drinks menu available and no suggestions as to any interesting soft drinks. That said service was otherwise fine. The fish was a bit greasy and a rather heavy batter but the fish itself was good and the rib eye steak was very good. Reasonable value for money and handy for the theatre.
