Lovely place and friendly staff.
We went for the Sunday roast and it was really well cooked and the portion for the price really good value for money. Will definitely be paying another visit!
The restaurant is great offering a straightforward menu and wonderful ambience. It was very warm in the dining room and thankfully staff adjusted the temperature. I highly recommend Dean Street Townhouse for a romantic dinner or going to a nice place with friends.
Fantastic atmosphere. Fun and attentive staff and delicious food. Perfect !
Three of us meet here regularly & have done so for several years. We have always loved the food & ambience & left good reviews. On this occasion we had a some underwhelming experience. Dean Street Townhouse always used to have a separate vegetarian menu(two of us are vegetarian) but no longer offer this & there are limited vegetarian options on the main menu. This seems strange during a time when most restaurants are offering an increased choice for both vegetarian and vegans.
Whilst we were offered the side macaroni cheese as a main course when we requested it, we were not given the usual delicious bread which we have had in the past. When we questioned our waitress about this she said (& this is almost unbelievable!)’ I didn’t bring you the bread as I thought you were having enough carbs with the macaroni cheese!!’ She realised her mistake & did apologise profusely but the damage was done! We also commented that the macaroni cheese wasn’t as nice as previously & she did say they had changed the recipe & would pass on our comments. To be fair when the bill arrived we were only charged for side portions instead of main portions & given more apologies. He rlly though we didn’t feel the whole experience matched the other time’s we have been to Dean Street Townhouse & are now not sure if we will all continue to meet there. A real shame.
Another good meal
The atmosphere is great but very noisy. Two meals were sent back twice (Trout). Manager very apologetic and meals were not charged for plus they deducted a bottle of wine so we were pleased with outcome. Starters and one main and one sweet all very good. Service was surly although after meal fiasco we paid the added 12.5%.
Excellent service on Tuesday evening when I was in - if only all restaurants had the same high standards of service. One of my friends had a slight issue with her meat being over cooked and they reacted extremely quickly (and gave us money off the bill which was so lovely). The area we were sat at (which was by window not too far away from the door) got quite cold every time the front door opened. Overall great experience and I will def return.
I really enjoyed the visit - the service and food was excellent. I hadn’t been for a while and it didn’t disappoint.
We went for afternoon tea and it was awesome! Reasonable price and lots of food and tea. The place was beautiful and service was great. Definitely would recommend
Gorgeous food and the coffee was so good ! I had to have 2!!!
Fantastic experience as always.
Service and food were very good- we had a wonderful evening
Fabulous service and great food
Excellent service, the best afternoon tea experience, as usual
Great food and drinks. Fun place, great for everyone.
Wonderful atmosphere on a Tuesday night.. incredibly friendly staff.. we had a super time
Sunday lunch is a real bargain when you consider what you get. Best Yorkshire puddings ever and enough leftovers to bring home - we had another dinner on Monday just by adding some vegetables and gravy. Would recommend it and we'll be booking again.
I have been for Sunday Lunch a number of time but this time we celebrated my son's 18th who loves a good roast. We all loved it although we failed on eating everything but loved the challenge of trying. thank you
Freindly atmosphere, and good attentive staff. Atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Tables are a bit close together and it feels a bit overly busy on the night we dined
We booked a table for two at 5pm before a theatre show. When we were first seated we were only provided an a la carte dinner menu. Having looked online, I knew a pre-theatre menu existed and had to request this later at the table. We were seated on a very small table in the middle of two other tables. There were extremely close together and very difficult to get past one another. It felt very confined. The bar area was also very close by and extremely busy and noisy.
Another disappointment was the food. We both choose the golden beetroot and stilton salad as a starter and for mains the Salmon with cucumber and samphire. Both were very bland, especially the Salmon.
We will not be returning to Dean Street Townhouse. As theatre menu's and service goes the Ham Yard Hotel far better exceeds Dean Street Townhouse.
Lovely afternoon tea and great atmosphere as always.
Will definitely be back!
Can't think of how it would be better. Great experience and food
