It’s been a couple of years since our last visit. In town this time for the Hugh Jackman concert. Arrived a day early, and thought, we'd keep it simple and eat in the hotel. This is NOT "hotel food". By any measure, Fearing's is a first class destination in its own right, and deserving of your attention. The food is imaginative without being pretentious. My wife's lamb was perfection. They have an excellent wine selection, with several wonderful Oregon Pinot Noir's, including a number of half bottles. From a previous trip, I knew to include the chicken-fried lobster. The kitchen works magic on those Maine lobster tails to make them tender, juicy and flavorful. My wife's dessert of strawberry shortcake took her back to mom's homemade and the strawberries were deliciously ripe. As a chocolate fan, I opted for the lava cake which was outstanding. Michael our waiter, was charming and helpful in every way. Just excellent all around. More

The food was delicious! We had a small problem with one of the thicker fish entrees being under cooked, but the manager quickly rectified the issue with a new plate. Would definitely recommend! More

Celebrated a co-workers Birthday and the staff was amazing. Kept the glasses full and made sure everything turned out fantastic and as ordered! What even made the meal more special is the surprise birthday treat of churros that they brought out at the end. I didn't even ask for them!! What amazing service. Will definitely be returning!! Food was so so good! I’m not a huge fan of high top seating. But the only true negative was the track lighting shining in my eyes. I’ll definitely be back though because the food was delish! More

Gorji Restaurant

Mediterranean | North Dallas / Addison, Dallas

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT RESTAURANT! We had dinner at Gorji's (actually called Canary by Gorji) for our 10th anniversary week and it was EXCELLENT! The food was certainly the stand out. Very unique. Each day the items are different. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic and everything we ordered tasted delicious! We had an octopus appetizer, an arugula salad with a dressing that took the arugula to the next level, and a copper river salmon. Summer had the sea-bass. The copper river salmon was excellent. The sea-bass was excellent, but she did slightly prefer the seabass at IIIForks. She enjoyed it and thought it was 5-stars at Gorji's. The copper river salmon was just as good as Connie's at IIIForks but it was nice to have a different presentation in Gorji's Mediterranean style. Everything was very fresh and detailed. The restaurant itself was immaculately, perfectly clean. You can tell that Gorji takes pride in his space. The little details were not overlooked! The owner Gorji himself is the waiter and he does not accept tips, so buy about a 50% more expensive wine so that equalizes out what you would tip him. I wish he would have accepted tips because he certainly deserved it. Everything about the restaurant was 5-stars. The service was 5-stars, attentive and friendly, but not pretentious or stuffy. Gorji waits on you himself and he made sure everything was perfect. It is clear that he inspects and perfects each dish and item personally. We were very impressed. It was our first time and it was recommended by a friend. Great experience! Great food! We were really happy that we spent one of our week-long 10-year anniversary tour dinners at Gorji's! We look forward to returning as frequently as we can! Bon Appetite! More

The restraint called around 5:30PM to confirm that we were going to be there for our 6:30 PM reservation. I said yes, and asked if they could work us in earlier, since we were already in the area and just killing time. They were happy to accommodate us. We had the "City Chicken" which, is served family style, and was excellent. Portions were generous and the food was at a good temperature, chilled items were chilled and the warm items were warm. One item really stood out, the rice. As soon as it touched my tongue, it burst with so many layers of flavor. The rice grains were delicate and cooked to perfection. The seasoning did bring a small amount of heat. I considered it a fair trade for the tremendous flavor of the dish. I know that I will be back and highly recommend the Local Foods Kitchen to anyone who hasn't considered it. More

The food is superb and creative (think way outside the California Roll box)! Menu items are more shareable small plates (think tapas) than full meals so plan on ordering a few things. It's definitely pricey, but worth the splurge! More

Lambeau's America
Lambeau's America
American | Highland Village, Dallas Suburbs

Why did we name it Lambeau’s America - especially in Cowboy country?

Earl “Curly” Lambeau grew up playing high school football for East Green Bay and played for Knute Rockne at Notre Dame.
Curly returned to Green Bay in 1918 to work as a shipping clerk in a meat canning factory. He missed football and was able to convince his employer to put up $500 in 1919 to buy uniforms to start a regional team. The team was named the Green Bay Packers.
Curly was a player and coach in the NFL for over 33 years. After his death in 1965 the Green Bay Packers renamed their stadium Lambeau Field in his honor.
Curly Lambeau lived his American dream as did millions of others who immigrated here to work. These hard working people did not forget the foods they grew up on that now make up the different cuisines we enjoy today.
The menu is a tribute to the people who sacrificed so much to make this the greatest land of opportunity by highlighting famous dishes from every city with a NFL team.More

Nelda's Tex Mex Cantina
Nelda's Tex Mex Cantina
Tex-Mex | Arlington, Mid Cities

Nelda's is full of flavor inside. Nelda’s shined with an enchilada combo and a crispy taco, and the big menu gives hope for a contemporary Tex-Mex restaurant in Pantego. Nelda’s serves basic Tex-Mex with all kinds of surprises. What other restaurant makes fish tacos with Yuengling-fried cod? Or serves elote as an optional side dish? The old Nelda’s was particularly known for steaks and fish dishes, and the new location is already getting kudos for the ceviche, the snapper Veracruz and the chipotle shrimp enchiladas. There’s also a stacked red cheese enchiladas platter and a chicken breast stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, chorizo and onion.More
