Dakhin - Glasgow
Amazing food . First visit and defiantly will return . Nice surroundings and great service .
Fantastic food, reasonably priced. Friendly service.
A good quality meal and service, thanks again.
Great Indian with lots of different options. The dosa are amazing.
Poor service and it feels more like a bar than restaurant. Starters arrived in 10 minutes but had to wait 45 minutes for main course. Food wasn’t impressive at all despite its higher prices compared with other Indian restaurants. Had stomachache after. Doesn’t get any worse than this.
Delicious Indian food which is a bit different from the norm.
Not the typical Indian restaurant with unusual but very tasty cuisine.
nice restaurant food okay have to say a bit bland prices a bit stiff when you consider the type of food on offer.however all freshly produced on warm plates.overall it was a decent nigh out with helpful staff
There were 9 of us from work for a dinner from the US and one of our co-workers ordered a little bit of everything and we did family style sharing and the waiter had no problem accommodating our unique requests. Everyone said they loved the food, even the ones that never had Indian food before. We would definitely come back again when we visit Scotland again.
Great place with delicious food. Highly recommended!
This was indeed a find. The only negative was that the staff hadn't updated their own reservation system from the Open Table booking but there was enough room.
The dosas were fab but there is no familiar naan or paratha as the restaurant is gluten free. This might not suit everyone.
Good selection of beer and ciders.
Food was excellent and the service was friendly.
From the time we went into the the restaurant and to the time we left all the staff looked after us. My wife has a severe carrot allergy and my daughter has many intolerances which they took into consideration with every dish we asked about, running back and forth to the chefs to check. The food was one of the best Indian meals we have ever tasted . We will be back next time we are in Glasgow.
Great staff and amazing flavours. Had never heard of anything on the menu and it was a really exciting adventure for the taste buds.
The entrance needs a revamp but the waiters were knowledgeable and really friendly. The king prawn starter didn’t need the watery salad but the monk fish, lamb & chicken main to share was good. The big dosa to share was good fun! We didn’t know it was 100% gluten free until the end of the meal. We might return but wouldn’t rush...
We took our friends visiting from the US. They were impressed. The staff were very attentive. Would highly recommend we had a great night.
Valentines Treat. Absolutely spoiled for choice with a fantastic selection of southern Indian treats. Not at all like run of the mill ‘British’ Indians.
I can not describe how good this place is - food is THE best
A great find through Open Table. Doesn't look like much at the front entering but once you are in it's very modern and stylish. Meal was fresh and tasted amazing! Service was great too. Price was very reasonable. Will be visiting again!
Food was a bit of a let down.
Starters were absolutely minimal compared to other Indian restaurants. The portion was more that of a kids size.
Although, the starters were probably the tasty part of the meal.
We ordered 4 main meals , all of us left over half due to lack of flavour. We found them quite bland.
The steamed rice was fine.
The breads were horrendous, we asked the waiter for him to bring us a selection.
None were good. The paper dosa was particular bad.
We asked for 2 desserts, however 1 was sold out. The other was fine.
I wouldn't recommend or return.
A totally gluten free menu meant it was easy to pick food and it was all totally delicious ! Service was great
Great experience for a birthday meal. Staff were friendly and attentive and food was simply outstanding. Not your typical Indian. A unique experience.
We had a great meal and the service was superb.... it's too easy to get carried away with the great menu.... ouch! When the bill arrived....!!
Excellent quality, matched by fast efficient service. Tried a Lamb Biryani and Spicy Chicken dish and both meats were quperb. Also had a 3 foot wide dosa! A must. Highly recommended.
Food was good and the staff were very helpful in recommending food which wasn't the usual Indian food in Glasgow. Enjoyed our evening
We had a fantastic meal at Dakhin in Glasgow. We had not come across southern Indian food before and it was deliciously different and lighter than the food served in most UK Indian restaurants. The service was great and the restaurant a cosy and stylish retreat from the Glasgow evening drizzle. Well worth a visit.
Very expensive for a curry which is not much different from any other Indian restaurant. Will not be back again in this restaurant
Excellent food beautifully spiced . Deliciously different from other Indian restaurants
Great night as always. From the minute you walk in the door the staff are brilliant and when it comes to service they advise well. We have been going for about 6 years now usually around Christmas time, but thats our loss, need to get along more. Great restaurant.
A good different twist on the typical Indian restaurants.
Very interesting menu
Not necessary to book, quiet Thursday. Food very nice, authentic dishes. Service spoiled by fact waiter did not note down orders and therefore forgot a side dish which arrived much later, which spoiled the effect of the whole main course. Starter not so good but main course very tasty.
Great food but expensive compared to other restaurants
Very friendly staff and lovely food. Gluten free heaven👏👏👏👏
We had a meal in Saturday evening and really enjoyed the food. A wide menu some new to us options and cold beer. We had starters mains and sides and drinks for four people for £125.
The Dakhin is a fantastic restaurant serving some of the best Indian cuisine in Glasgow. The seating area is very much open plan. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is to die for. Definitely recommend going!
Booked through open table, but when we arrived they did not seem you be aware of our booking. However they found us a table the restaurant was very busy,so it took a while you order, but food and staff were excellent. Will definately go back.
Really great food and fantastic service, would recommend.
We were a group of 7 including one coeliac and one vegan. All the food was gluten free and there were loads of vegan options. The staff were so friendly and helpful and even offered to give us a deal that wasn't usually available at the time we were dining. The Dosas are amazing and all the food was really tasty and fresh. Can't recommend highly enough and can't wait to go back.
Excellent service. Friendly staff. Freshly cooked dishes.
excellent food service and value for money as usual. first time any of my friends had been and they were very impressed.
