Daily Grill - Seattle Sheraton
Great place for quick breakfast a little pricey but easy and good food
Daily Grill is just a no-nonsense meat & potatoes kind of place--it's wonderful!
For a hotel restaurant off of the convention center it works. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They should get some local beers.
Excellent as always. Started with the butternut squash soup -- yummy. Then, for me, a turkey club sandwich that was delicious and filling. My lunch companion had the small chicken pot pie, which he found very tasty, and marveled at how big the large pot pie must be given the huge size of the small pie. We'll be back.
Had 50 min before needing to leave for theater- told server immediately. 50 mon later only food to make it to table was a salad. Cesar with no croutons. When asked about this told they didn’t have any croutons- i can bring u some bread. Why doesn’t restaurant make some croutons?? At the 50 min mark still no entrees. - we had to leave. Server told us there would be no charge- doesn’t help us who were hungry the whole evening at the theater.
I had two meals at the Daily Grill this week, but only one was booked through OpenTable. Our first experience was better than the second.
We were told we’d have a 25 minute wait, so we chose to eat in the bar - that was our first mistake. While our server was pleasant, she seemed to be very busy - therefore service took a long time. The restaurant wasn’t full at all, not even half the tables in the entire restaurant were occupied.
It took an hour for our entrees to arrive and my husbands rib eye was quite tough.
Good stop for a meal before a show at ACT. The ambiance is nice, kind of old school with dark wood and such. Would be a good spot too, to get a cocktail. The food is middle of the road, but descent. Our server was pleasant but never brought the water we requested and didn't get our wine order until the food came. This is common at many restaurants and servers should learn to time this better. All in all, I'd go again before a show or just for drinks.
We are never disappointed in the Daily Grill for before the theater dining. The ambience is vibrant, and the food is delicious. This time I tried the chicken pot pie. It was seasoned perfectly, and the flaky crust was delightful. My friend had the wedge salad which was amazing. She was disappointed with the crab cake though. She said it was flavorless. We will definitely be back.
DELICIOUS! food. Large plates, and good conversation with wait staff. Nice formal atmosphere but relaxed.
Have eaten at other Daily Grills and find the menu offers good variety and quality. I did order the humus appetizer which was a very nice portion but came with only 3 pita triangles so had to request more. I also think it's a bit overpriced but food is consistent.
Food wasn’t hot or very good for the price
Delicious food, great banter with the waitstaff and good drinks. The wings and Steak Salad are amazing.
Given the wrong menu. Overcharged on our bill.
Had a very nice meal at the Daily Grill before a musical at the Paramount Theatre. Traffic was amazingly light and we were there a half an hour before our reservation. Place was very empty at 5:45 on a Saturday night so there was no problem being seated. Food and drinks were all very good as was the service.
We were going to a play and this was convenient and good quality and timely
The service was awesome.
Great place for a business lunch or quick lunch when you have a busy day.
For in hotel eating, Daily Grill was pretty good- solid menu, friendly service, reasonably priced wine by the glass etc. We went twice and it was consistently good
Service was very slow and it wasn’t that busy to be so slow.
Second time in two weeks eating there, and if I worked there, I'd be angry. The kitchen fell short, again. Restaurant seemed half full, french dip had crispy fried meat in it. It was sent back as too dry. Fries instead of coleslaw, just irritating. We had to find our server, who was talking to the kitchen. I hope complaining ;) We think something is off. BTW, the coleslaw is really good. Like an Asian twist with peanuts. Really good.
The restaurant part was very good. However, I went to the men's room to wash my hands and there was no soap in either soap dispenser. 5 hours later we came back for an after show drink, and there was still no soap. That's absolutely inexcusable, not to mention disgusting. Is this where the restaurant staff uses the restroom?
Food was okay and overpriced. My husband and I both felt like we could get the same meal better somewhere else.
The service at the Daily Grill on Father's Day was impeccable. We ordered the crab cake and the chicken piccata. Both were served warm and the server remember all the condiments. The food was delicious. We will be back again to enjoy another meal at the Daily Grill at the Seattle Sheraton.
I like this place. Great comfort food, tremendous variety without trying to be something-for-everyone. We showed up with a reservation at 635. Took a while to be seated. We had a show at 8pm. By 7pm or server was clear that most hot food would not get us out on time. They've got a great tuna appetizer but really!! No burger, maybe meatloaf, no chicken... so, great server, nice ambiance and sadly, can't get in and out in an hour. It's too bad. I thought a hotel restaurant could deal with anything and 70-90 min would be okay (we just had to walk 3 blocks). A generally good experience fell short because of the kitchen. And its the second time weve shown up, with reservations, and barely gotten out in time. We will be back sometime, not soon. Our friends won't bother.
Get the Bacon Cheddar Tots!!!
Food was terrific, service was extremely slow.
When I made the reservation, I did not initially realize that the Daily Grill was part of/affiliated with the Sheraton. However, in retrospect, it makes perfect sense. Daily Grill is exactly the sort of restaurant you would expect to find in an upper-middle-class type hotel. A great and convenient place for weary travelers to unwind with a beer, a glass of wine, a burger, maybe a salad and dessert. Nothing particularly spectacular about the food or restaurant in general. But, if you are looking for a decent, affordable, quality dining experience, in a great downtown location, with a very friendly staff, then you won't go wrong with Daily Grill.
Quiet hotel restaurant very close to the convention center. We were there early for a 7:45 reservation and were seated right away. Dining room was fairly empty with minimal floor staff left. I had the blackberry pork chop, which was cooked to temperature, but the portion of creamed spinach was huge and the mashed potatoes not very warm. My sons had the chicken picatra and the sauteed salmon. Both dishes were tasty with generous portions. We skipped dessert. Server was fairly attentive and boxed our leftovers for us. It was fine, but nothing spectacular.
Service was a bit slow but overall a good experience. We will go back.
Decided on a late lunch before seeing The Dance Theater of Harlem. This location was close to parking and the Paramount Theater. We enjoyed the meal. It wasn’t crowded so conversation was easy. Will definitely try it again. Service was excellent.
Food was great. Booth location lacked ambiance but was fine for our purposes.
A little annoyed! When we first tried to make the reservation, we were advised it would be a 2 1/2 hr wait. So we changed the time. Upon arriving at the restaurant. It was empty, and at no time were tables completely filled!
Other than that, the food was very good although the service was sloppy - wrong dinner given, forgotten drink, etc.
We stopped at theDaily Grille before a Paramount Theatre event and had a terrific dinner. Good service and fairly priced for substantial portions. I had the Blackberry pork chop, which was prepared perfectly. Very quiet atmosphere oin a Sunday evening. Much more energetic during the week.
Rather High prices for the quality, it’s good but not great.
The kitchen did not get my order for poached eggs correct. It was a long wait until the server returned to my table for me to voice my dissatisfaction. I had breakfast here previously and there was not an issue.
Went there due to proximity to Convention Center.
Paid $13 for a well Bloody Mary with no garish at all. Won’t make that mistake ever again.
Food was ok. Corned beef hash is in a weird sauce and was mostly potatoes.
The food was good and the overall atmosphere was nice.
The only thing I enjoyed about the food was chocolate fudge cake. Tuna was average with no special taste. Turkey sandwich was on fastfoid level. Overpriced.
I had lunch with my family; everything tasted great! I couldn’t stop eating their coleslaw with the peanuts. The turkey sandwich was light and delicious. My husband loved the skirt steak too. I highly recommend it and will come back next time I visit Seattle.
