Table ready upon arrival, service prompt. 5 different entrees ordered and all deemed "wonderful". Very nice cozy ambiance. All said they would return.
Service was very slow. Everything from our appetizer to the entrees took a very long time. The appetizer, Korea bbq wings, were very good. My wife had a jerk chicken sandwich which was mediocre and I had the bistro tender which was inedible. Our waitress seemed to be in the weeds but refills on drinks were very slow and it's really not my problem if they are understaffed...I'm still paying full price. I will say that the host and waitress were very nice and the restaurant and is decorated warmly. The bar looks good, too. However, I had to actually spit my food into the napkin because it tasted like it was unwrapped in the cooler, thrown into a microwave and tossed on a disgusting piece of soggy bread. My stomach was sick the rest of the night. I would have complained but no one was around. We will never return.
Excellent food. It was New Year's Eve so it was crowded and loud and service was a bit slow but overall a very good experience.
Everyone was satisfied
The lack of service took away from the overall experience and overall value rating above. We spent $160 for what was a 60th birthday celebration and unfortunately we left frustrated.
Very long delay for first drink orders to arrive (one Manhattan and 3 waters). :25 wait for chips appetizer, drinks sat empty several times, no bread like other tables (until requested). Waitress didn’t mention my Caesar’s salad was a up charge. My filet arrived quite rare not medium. However the other entrees were excellent.
In her defense the waitress was working hard we just never saw her, Including the usual return to see how the meals were.
If we weren’t interested in a special night and hoping for the experience we would have gone to a basic restaurant. I really am not one to complain but since you asked I thought I’d express our issues so maybe it will be a better experience for the next family.
Have a blessed and Happy New Year.
Both specials, Sea Bass and Sirloin were very good. Service was very very good and it was a nice evening as usual.
It was a most enjoyable evening: the food, drinks and service were excellent and relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was unimpressive. Had coco cay shrimp app. Small- medium shrimp with barbecue sauce. Two of us ordered the delmonico steak. I've had better at Outback and Longhorn, tough and overcooked. The waitress was very nice but we did not see enough of her ( drinks went dry ). There was not a bus person so empty dishes piled up on the table and the hostess finally came to refill water. A long wait between courses is fine but you need to be attended .
Food was good, overall experience and service below expectations . 1.5 hrs after the reservation arrival time, we still didn’t have our food. We waited 20 minutes after sitting down for the server to take our drink order. Bathrooms disorganized and messy. Really slipped from what it used to be .
Food was great music a little to loud.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Great selection of gluten free items.
We haven’t been to Curlys in over 10 years, but we’re so glad we stopped by. They were busy and it took a bit of time for the food to arrive, but otherwise everything was extraordinary. Portion sizes were spot on!
Soup, scallops balboa, and duck breast were ver good.
The restaurant only had one other table seated for dinner the entire time we were there - but our meal for 4 people still took 2 hours to be served (salad / entree). We love the food, but the service was ridiculously slow.
Curley's is a neighborhood gem. I have been there a few times over the past few years, and have never been disappointed. My wife and I went to dinner there prior to attending a granddaughter's basketball game at a local school. As we were in the neighborhood, we thought of having dinner at one of our favorite restaurants immediately. The service was outstanding. The drink/wine/beer list very good. My wife had a hamburger special, and I had the blue cheese encrusted sea bass. Yum, yum, and YUM !! It was absolutely delicious. For dessert we had the carrot cake. Absolutely the best!! We love Curley's, would highly recommend it, and will return there again when we can.
It's a beautiful place with quite an impressive menu. The service was top-notch and we had a very good time overall. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed based on my experience.
Very nice staff, excellent food. Moderate noise for a busy Saturday night.
Mussels and flat bread special was delicious. Service was very good provided by Matt. Will return.
Fabulous seabass entree
The restaurant looked beautiful and the food was amazing. I’m Gluten Free and our server was knowledgable and understanding. Can’t wait to go back!!
Very attentive, wonderful selection of food.
Great lighting and ambience. We sat under a huge chandelier. Food was excellent. A very good Happy Birthday dinner.
Excellent food and service. A great place to sip specialty whiskey and experience inventive food.
Stopped in for a delicious lunch. The soup was amazing and the burger perfect.
We love Curly's, but not this time. They skimped on the restaurant week entrees. I had the airline jerk chicken which was delicious, but the smallest, thinnest chicken breast I've ever had in a restaurant, and served only with rice and no vegetable. The sea bass was served with potato and vegetable, but the piece of fish was one quarter of what you might expect. I guess they thought the nice dessert would make up for the reduced portions. Not really a deal. Better off ordering from the regular menu. Also, avoid the back room which is very boring.
Food was excellent. Bolognase, jerk chicken and butternut squash ravioli were all amazing. Would have preferred to be in main dining room. We were in front room off main ding room, not much ambiance but will know to request next time.
Everything was delicious . We stopped at the bar after dinner. The bartender was friendly and very gracious.? We will definitely be back
Went during local restaurant week and had the butternut squash ravioli. Very delicious and would highly recommend.
Excellent food and service! We had a wonderful meal in a very comfortable setting!
We're accommodating when we had to move up our reservations. The pumpkin bisque soup was excellent. Had their fish of the day which was very good. Everyone else was happy with their meals. Will definitely go back
This is the first time we’ve been to Curly’s in several years, and the first time ever since it went to new ownership. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was perfect. And the food was great. All told, It was a very relaxing evening with my wife. I’m glad that we saw it on Open Table. We will definitely be back.
Food was excellent, jerk pork cooked to perfection. Truffle gorgonzola chips excellent too.
Overall very good experience. Requested a quiet table & they made a point in acknowledging when we arrived. My only negative comment was that we were still eating our appetizers & they delivered our meals.
The food was good and the service was good nice they are a made to order restaurant
I have been going here for over 20 years. Love the Jerk Chicken and black bean soup. The inside and bar area are wonderful. This visit the food wasn’t the same. The Jerk Chicken and black bean soup was perfect. It was the other 3 dishes, I think in part because the description didn’t match the dish. We will be back, it just might be awhile.
This is not our first time, and, as usual, it was very good all the way!
Excellent food and awesome atmosphere
The shrimp appetizer was delicious! The jerk chicken Cobb salad was okay. The jerk grilled chicken breast sandwich with coleslaw and fries was very good.
It’s an interesting and limited menu but definitely worth a try!
