Best Wine Bars in Federal Way

I am reticent to offer a review. It may lead to a crowd of diners. Ms. Jane has to be one of the best kept secrets in Pierce County. The menu is innovative and food is prepared with care. Much of it is locally sourced and every dish we have tried is delicious. Service was attentive and capable. The venue is on the elegant side - white table cloth - and the atmosphere is welcoming and approachable. If there is a concern, it's the location on Hwy 99 and inside BJs Bingo. Diners have to brave the smokers to reach the restaurant. But that's a very small price to pay.

We were in Seattle for the day and met our daughter for lunch. We were seated and out daughter was delighted to find a nice card and white rose on the table wishing her a happy birthday. Nice touch Capital Grille!! We had a couple nice cocktails, two nice appetizers before ordering our entrees. Two of chose Filets and one of us the New York. All came out perfectly grilled and seasoned. We all chose the whipped potatoes as a side, OMG, so delicious! We had great service and will be back soon. Thank you!!

Amazing. My new FAVORITE place. Food was delicious. Staff is first class. And atmosphere spectacular and soothing ! Can’t wait to go back.

Had a 5:30 reservation for Friday night and was seated promptly. The Seattle Restaurant Week menu looked great and the waiter was helpful in choosing a starter cocktail and then the three courses and a wine pairing. Ordered the Half Chop Salad - romaine, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, bacon, avocado chickpeas, all came together with a perfect dressing, Next had the roasted delicata squash and chanterelle dish (rich, complex flavors) and a delicious flat bread that is usually only on the happy hour menu. Everything was wonderful and such large portions I took half of everything home and enjoyed amazing leftovers the next day. Terrific value and great service. Only quibble is that the restaurant is quite dark and moody (bring your flashlight to read the menu) and gets very loud when it fills up - everyone is having a great time but it's noisy. Highly recommend, especially if you can enjoy it earlier in the evening.

Just another enjoyable night at Vino trying new wines and enjoying some familiar ones along with always great food and service!
