I saw the owner on a you tube video with another chef rating restaurants in Minneapolis and decided to give his place a try. The food was outstanding as was the service. When we are in Minneapolis we will definitely go back.

Great menu great drinks and the service is beyond exceptional from everyone on the staff. We sat in the bar area to watch the Gophers beat Iowa. We spent 4 hours and never felt rushed to leave while enjoying our drinks, meals and visiting with cousins we see once a year. Highly recommend Mallards.

Great family birthday dinner at this new Cajun spot in the historic Coliseum building on Lake Street. Very fair prices and tasty food and interesting drinks, including mocktails. Seafood bucatini and shrimp with funky grits were especially enjoyable.
