Fabulous Friday evening...food, drinks, ambiance, server. All topnotch. To start...the warm rolls delivered to the table for dipping into olive oil and balsamic...who could resist? So good. The eggplant parm appetizer is now declared my favorite! Best in town, I say. Four large eggplant slices with a perfectly delicate outer crunch, smothered in fabulous marinara sauce with melted cheese on top. Delectable. Paired with the Mediterranean Salad...a colorful sight for the eyes! And large enough to feed four. But we ordered the Caesar and two Watermelon & Honey salads....all sizable and delicious. One of our party enjoyed the lasagna for his Main, the other two the Bolognese. Each one ranting great things about their choice, and all of us happy to have a bit leftover to enjoy at home. Enjoyed a fabulous bottle of red wine with dinner and ended with a couple of expresso martinis for dessert. Relaxed vibe, good lighting. Surprisingly good acoustics. Server was appropriately attentive (Natalie, maybe?). When we got up from the table to depart, we discovered we were the last to leave. We were enjoying the evening and engaging with friends, and were completely oblivious that everyone else had left. Not once did we feel rushed, nor asked to leave. GIO put the guest experience first. Highly recommend. We will return.
