Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Morris Plains

The food was incredible! Our server, Abigail, was great. The service gets a low rating because of how the older man whose role I still don’t know, inserted himself and treated her. Upon checking in, Abigail was taking us to our seats when he quickly snatched the menus out of her hand, walked my wife and I back to the front of the restaurant, and said “she doesn’t know what she’s doing, you wait for me to seat you.” It was an absolute shock to witness and experience. After a few minutes, he then proceeded to sit us where Abigail was set to sit us, and right in front of us, he told her “now I have to sit them because of you.” It was an absolute embarrassment. He has no respect for the employees or guests.

Excellent from start to finish. Chris our server was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and nicely presented.

Mezze combo excellent. Octopus excellent. Eggs in tomato sauce with feta excellent. Wines extremely expensive.

From the pleasant greeting from the valet and then being greeted by the host who made you feel so welcomed you know you were in for a night of unwinding and enjoyment. So many options anyone with any diet issues can eat here comfortably. The high-quality food with nice protein/fresh vegetable portions is absolutely delicious. Thanks Chef As for the dessert & wine list just exceptional. You can’t go wrong with the ambience which has a charm of its own. Now as for the service you can’t ask for any better. Everyone made sure your table had enough water, bread or anything else you needed. As for our very nice waitress Anna, with her warm smile she was a pleasure making sure you got your food exactly the way you liked. Great personality…. This restaurant is a true gem and worth the ride.

We hadn’t eaten at Mezza in a while but were very pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our meal. The decor is lovely and made us feel like we were in Morocco. The service was pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious. The hummus and babaganoush were flavorful and and the pita bread warm and tasty. Our mains- fish tacos, branzino and short ribs were all delicious. The soufflé dessert was worth the 20 minute wait. Highly recommend dining here!
