Best Indian Restaurants in Alvin

Absolutely outstanding from the entrance presentation to the manager sharing the history of the restaurant and the food we were eating. The special touch with the dessert and the anniversary signed card from the staff was the icing on the cake. The food was absolutely delicious and I want more - thx goodness we had leftovers.

Went here with my family for my 29th Birthday! It was a beautiful space just as week walk in, amazing ambience and a dim lit intimate feel to the whole setting! We were greeted very nicely and the food was bang on! We are vegetarians so was absolutely happy with the whole Veg Menu and tried everything “Paneer” on the menu! Yum!!! Dahi Paneer Kebab and Tandoori Paneer is a MUST! Paneer Karahi for the sabzi was a great one too! We asked them to make an eggless cake beforehand and it was the most tasty chocolate cake ever!!!

We have eaten here several times before the theater. We like the atmosphere and the food . Service is excellent. We will be back!

The Power Lunch special is a great value. I ordered the beets starter, pork vindaloo curry, and pastel de nata dessert while my friend ordered the gem lettuce salad, saag paneer curry, and same dessert. We both enjoyed the starters and curry, and absolutely loved the pastel de nata dessert. She also had a $5 glass of wine with her lunch. Our server was attentive and helpful with the menu. I highly recommend the Power Lunch menu.

I had not been to The Red Lion in a while and made definite plans when I saw them on this year’s HRW. Used to go quite often for happy hour when I worked in Greenway Plaza. I grabbed a friend who had never been and off we went! The HRW menu was a great representation of The Red Lion’s specialties. I chose the Vegetable Samosa to start (spicy afterburn!). My friend chose the Punjabi Egg Rolls, which were a definite winner. We both selected The Chicken Tikka for our main - excellent snd a very generous portion. To end our meal, I selected the Bread Pudding (no one does bread pudding like The Red Lion!). My friend chose the Apple Blackberry Crumble which she pronounced “scrumptious”. Of course, I had to have a couple of Blacksmiths to wash it all down. Great selection of draught beer served in Imperial pints, thank you very much! Service was very attentive, food was wonderful, love the pub ambiance. I need to start coming back here on a regular basis!
