- SYShariqYVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •27 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe service at Eylan was impeccable and the food was divine . No small feat for a restaurant that has been open two weeks and was opened packed to the gills . You enter the restaurant through an underground parking lot and take the elevator up . Even though you are on the first ( ground ) floor you feel you are in a subterranean space ( akin to the now sadly gone Shezan restaurant under the Paris Theater next to the plaza hotel in NYC ). There is none of the soaring expansive feeling of the sister restaurant, Copra in San Francisco. Instead the feeling is that of a jewel box . The cocktails are outstanding ( the gimlet and a tequila “ martini ). The wine list is well curated . The sommelier is very helpful and knowledgeable. The menu is divided into five sections: snacks , bread , grill , entree and dessert . For our table of two we ordered two snacks and one item from each of the other sections . The Pani Puri of green grapes was a standout as was the Fried Chicken with a Piri Piri sauce. The bread with Perigord Black truffles was unbelievably rich and complex ( in a good way ). The sheekh Kabab which is usually a tough , dry , desiccated mess was flavorful, juicy and delicious accompanied by an outstanding green chutney . The Squash Blossoms filled with Ricotta was outstanding but the piece d’resistance was the accompanying Roomali Roti , light , ethereal, translucent, it is a culinary work of Art . A flavorful ending was the Chai Sundae. We cannot wait to try the Cornish hen butter chicken , the sea bream and the yakni biryani . We drove 90 minutes from the east bay to the restaurant on a rainy day . It was well worth the trip . We will be back,More infoEylanPrice: Very Expensive• Indian• Menlo Park•4.4
- SSaumyaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined 5 days agoI liked the place overall. But a few improvements with service as the dinner was served before the dinner plates arrived and we got confused and kept continuing eating in small plates. Shaam Savera gravy was too sweet for our taste maybe because of heavy cream usage. tandoori chicken was marinated well but was dry from inside..overcooked. Hara paneer appetizer could have some twist to the taste..it seems like we ate paneer dipped in green chutney…Mint laccha parantha and daal was a super combo with onions and chutney.More infoThe Yellow Chilli by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor - DanvillePrice: Moderate• Indian• Danville•4.4
- GGyuhoSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined on 18 Jan 2025A nice table and plates. Attentive waiter, quick serving. Gobi 65 was incredibly good. The pizza bread could have been better but the Indian pizza was interesting. Garlic naan was nice and fresh to have with curry.More infoSankalp The Taste of IndiaPrice: Moderate• Indian• Fremont•4.5
