Best European Restaurants in Chinatown

Amazing food with original creativity. Carrots done 5 ways, pizza, duck, all very very well done. Service was outstanding, personable and knowledgeable. Will be back.

We had a lovely evening exploring the new Faux Bourgeois. Our bartender/server Jason made the night feel special. The food is elevated classic French bistro. Lots of great flavours and textures and timing of our dishes served to us was perfect. Staff really care and make this restaurant worth visiting, when you combine their hospitality with the quality of the dishes.

Like so many tourists in Vancouver, we wanted a quintessential Gastown restaurant experience and we found it at the Pourhouse. We ate in the bar, which gave us full view of the 100 +year old bar and an opportunity to enjoy the energy of the place. The restaurant and bar are not big, so you get a lot of attention. My "Vancouver" gin cocktail was wonderful and the homemade Italian Wedding soup was delicious. My husband had the salmon and really enjoyed it with his draft beer. We really enjoyed it and would recommend the Pourhouse.

We are committed foodies with a passion for tasting menus and chef creativity. Our night at Barbara Restaurant exceeded all expectations. Not only was the food magical, with every dish anticipated like a gift at Christmas, the pace was perfect, the wines new and exciting, the portion size ideal - the staff made this night exceptional. Our welcome couldn't have been more gracious and sincere; this genuine interest was present for the entire meal. But this is what really set Barbara apart: it was Personal. Between the interaction with the chefs though out the evening and with the diners seated next to us, it was like a special dinner at a friend's house. Such a night to remember.
