Cannot thank the staff enough, there was a slight miscommunication and this was not only rectified quickly, but more than made up for. We had the same waiter both days we attended The Rise, he was wonderful and very understanding. The food was just incredible and worth every penny. Cannot wait to return

This was our first time in York as well as our first meal. From the time we arrived to the time we left Legacy was a wonderful experience. Our main server, Jaime was very knowledgeable and personable. The vegan tasting menu the chef created was so creative, exciting and delicious. We also had the wine paring which just made it all perfect. They even made sure the wine was vegan. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating but not in the typical five star restaurant type of way. No pretension here. It was just so warm and inviting there and I can’t wait to return.

An excellent afternoon tea in a lovely old railway carriage. Very generous amount of foods, both savoury & sweet. I went home with a box. And a lovely young lady serving us. BUT, if you li ke lemon in your tea like me, take some with you as they didn’t have any. I thought that was odd for a tea place.
