Best Contemporary American Restaurants in North Carolina

It was our first time dining here and I booked bar seating so we could enjoy watching the kitchen create all the dishes. The service was great and the ambiance was wonderful as well. We started with the squash which was charred and finished with hot honey; it was very good. We both ordered the signature Bengali Wedding Chicken dish and it was fabulous. Which is a good thing because it is a $43 dish. Don’t know that I’ve ever paid $43 for chicken, but again, it was a truly fabulous dish. The price was the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. Overall it was a great experience and I would go back.

We had been told by a few friends that this is a really great place to eat. We just moved to the area and this was gonna be our celebration dinner. It lived up to its expectations. I have to say, had the best dessert I have ever had at this restaurant. The service was top-notch.

We loved everything about Big Cat. There wasn’t a dish we ordered that wasn’t delicious! The whole experience was enjoyable and fun!

Very nice first time experience! We had reservations for 7:30 and got there early so we decided to see if we could be sat earlier (around 6). The waiter was very attentive, prompt service, even run my sunglasses out to me after I left them on the table. Food was excellent.
