Best British Restaurants in Bamfurlong

Really great afternoon tea, it was a Christmas present from last year. We had a super glass of champagne to start with. They have us a lovely gap just to enjoy the drink and ambience of the restaurant. The selection of sandwiches were nice, there was a lovely sausage roll which was yummy. Great selection of mini cakes and beautiful fresh scones. Very generous jam and clotted cream, we were both well and truly full. The staff were really great plus it was quite quiet so very enjoyable. Thank you.

This is a beautiful restaurant set in a magnificent building. The food is very nice, we each had a starter and a main course. Everything is well presented and very clean. My son is a diagnosed coeliac and there was a bit of an issue with the gluten free beer being labelled as containing gluten but this was dealt with very quickly and efficiently and it was found to be a fault with the manufacturer, not the restaurant. The manager couldn't have been more helpful and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. We were very grateful for that. We look forward to visiting again.

Great food, great service again. This is the second time we’ve been here in the last month and we were again impressed by the food quality, efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Definitely on our list to return.

First time visiting Lumiere yesterday and I have to say what a lovely time we had. From the greeting we received as we walked in, through to the end of the fantastic meal the experience was outstanding. As for the food, we've eaten in some top rated restaurants all over the country and this was en par with anything we've had anywhere. From the very first canapé which was literally a work of art to the last course, the damson soufflé every course was beautiful. The most difficult part of lunch was when we were asked which course was the best, such a tough question when they were all of this standard, I suppose it just boils down to which one resonated with your particular palate the most. For me it was the Cornish sea bass, simply outstanding, flavour combinations where every element of the dish had a part to play and delivered in spades. My wife's favourite was the duck, complete with duck liver parfait encased in white chocolate !! it certainly played tricks on the tastebuds. Special mention must also go to the palate cleanser signature Tequila Slammer, a little bit of theatre which was super refreshing half way through the meal. Suffice to say we will be returning to Lumiere as we cant wait to see how the menu changes through the coming seasons. Thankyou everyone at Lumiere, a treat not to be missed

We were staying in the newly opened hotel which this restaurant in situated. The food and all the staff were outstanding and I’d definitely recommend this restaurant and hotel.
