Côtes à Côtes Resto-Grill
Our 250 seats outdoor seating gives us the title of the largest patio in town! The view on the St-Lawrence River, Château Frontenac & Batterie Royale, adds up for a unique experience in a lovely & charming atmosphere.
End of day late meal that was thoroughly enjoyable!
Worst experience ever
Great view, great food.
We were seated on the deck outside. The view of the river was quite nice. There was a mix up with our first course. It seems as though my wife's soup was delivered to another table. So we had to wait until her soup was ready. The soup was barely warm, nowhere near what French onion soup usually is.
We both had fish and chips. The fish was really good, but the chips were just so-so. The triple chocolate brownie was really good also.
We shared the beef plate for 2 as a suggestion from our server and it was excellent.
Incredible ribs, steaks and everything! Thanks to our waiter Miguel for explaining and suggestions
This was our best meal while vacationing in Quebec City. I have never had such tender meaty flavorful ribs, the meat was tender and falling off the bones.
And the Poutine!!! Amazing, the fries were PERFECTLY cooked and crisp, no sogginess at all even with the gravy!!!
Worst meal ever EVER
We had reservations but were not given the nice empty table by the window over looking the river, instead my wife had a view of the cutlery near the kitchen. Half of the meals on the menu were not available, the wine we ordered from the menu was not available. This should have been our sign to leave but we stayed as we were hungry from walking all day.
I ordered the fillet minion and my wife ordered chicken supreme. The chicken was pressed chicken that was cold, on top of stale lumpy mashed potatoes and 2 slices of onion. One bite and my wife was no longer hungry. It can’t be that bad I said as I cut into my steak. It was also cold and the gravy had congealed.
We drank our wine 1/2 litre of local white, pushed our meals aside then paid cash $140 and walked out without eating anything.
We went down the road and purchased a pizza.
The pizza was really good!
Food is not bad but pricey for the quality. Poutine is good but at $17 is a bit too much. This is to be expected in a touristy area.
Thank you for taking this moment to write us your appeciation
Friendly service, helpful that their English was pretty good as our French is not. They were tolerant of our rambunctious 1 year old. Food variety was pretty good and ribs were their specialty, but no one out of our 6 different meals was disappointed.
Thank you for taking this moment to write us your appeciation
Souper amoureux 😍
Honestly, there are many better options in both lower and upper town. We had the duck confit salad (mixed greens with a duck drumstick on the side, so it was DIY?) the flank steak (not seasoned, undercooked and with the sauce on the side in a plastic cup) a burger (was very good, but not a reason to choose a restaurant) and the fish and chips (again ok, but wasn’t here for a deep fried piece of fish). The plating on slate tiles made for messy meals, and incongruous to the plastic wrapped napkins and plastic containers of mayo. It feels like they’ve not decided on a format... more casual pub food vs foodie/fine dining. Anyway, with Cochin Dingue, La Lapin Sauté etc nearby not a restaurant I’d recommend.
Despite it being a wet and miserable night outside, inside was warm and inviting. Service wss prompt and the food, as always, delicious. I selected the Table d'hote for $35 but paid a little more for the red deer ribs and trio of creme bruleé. This gets you a 4 course meal and a coffee or pot of tea for about $50 including tax.
Superbe endroit et la bouffe était parfaite! Nous y retournerons bientôt c’est plus qu’officiel!
Fantastic service and food
Thank you so much!
We had a wonderful late afternoon early evening at Cotes. the NewYear's Eve menu was great and the wait staff were attentive and fun. Our family with two teenagers enjoyed the food and ambience of the restaurant. The deer ribs were cooked perfectly and the wine list was great.
Thank you so much! I'm glad to read your appreciation about food and ambience. We hope you had wonderful time in Quebec and Happy New year to you and all your familly.
When we came at 18h00 on September 15th 2018, no one told us that there were a waiting time for the service.
We waited for 30 min after placing our order before having any news from the waiter regarding our entres. If not from the fact that we had to initiate the question, the waiter wouldn’t had asked the kitchen when would have our entres would been served. He them told us that there was a problem with the entres and that we had to change them. Since we had already been waited for more then 30 minutes since we ordered, we decided to cancel the entres and go directly to the main meal. Once served, the filet mignon we ordered was far (and I mean very far) from the cooking temperature we asked. The meat had to go back in the kitchen to be corrected. Once the main meal finish, we did not take any change and ask for the check.
I do understand that at this periode of the year the restaurant must have been low staff (with the beginning of the school and the fact that staff is hard to find these days), but communication between a restaurant and is customer is the key for success as far as I know (and I have work in restaurant when I was at school).
Not everything is the server’s fault, so that is why I did gave him a tip.
For please, tell you staff to have a better communication with the customer and most of all when they arrive. By not telling them that there is a waiting time, you a creating expectation and if you are not able to live to those expectations, you will be out of customers pretty soon.
Do what you want with my comments. It was the fist time at your restaurant and I at this point, I am not considering going back.
Belle présentation de plats tous délicieux. La salade au canard et tangerines est un must! Explications détaillées des plats par un serveur courtois et compétent. Une belle expérience!
Merci beaucoup et au plaisir de vous revoir
We sat outside. Though it had been raining earlier it was covered and it was night. Beautiful ambience with the River on one side and the Chateau Frontenac on the other side.
Super emplacement, vue pittoresque du château Frontenac. La bouffe est bonne mais sans plus. Le service étais bien et bon choix de plats.
Merci pour votre commentaire
On vacation from US. Good beer. Nice selection of Canadian fare. Food very good and plentiful relative to price.
Thank you! We hope to see you again
Belle terrasse mais nourriture moyenne. Personnel charmant et attentif
The food was super disappointed, duck drums are made out of stone and even the baby back ribs were medium minus
Totally overrated or full with fake reviews
Definitely the worst food experience on our trip
We are outside, nice view of water and Frontenac. The menu and food were just average. There are probably nicer restaurants in Quebec City.
Service très lent. Non respect de ma commande de sauce à part. Bavette miniature.
Food satisfactory; not special.
Service was dreadfully slow. Waitress apologised and subsequently offered us some bread to compensate. Too little too late.
Bof , après 2 heures d’attentes après la commande ... pas un bon choix un soir occupe
We visited on a very busy night during a festival event. As a result, service was a bit slow and it took quite a while to get our meal. One person in our party ordered a multi-course meal which may have caused some of the delay for the rest of our party; however, the wait for all of us to receive the main course was extensive. Most of the entrees were very good but the filet mignon ordered by one person in our party was not hot and they were disappointed. The BBQ ribs for 2 dinner was quite good; however, we were not impressed with the sauce on the duck legs that were served with that entree. All in all, I would return to this restaurant and would recommend it for a casual dining experience.
Good food - not great. Service was very good. Wonderful location and fun outdoor space. I ordered bison as an experiment and it was stronger tasting than I expected - kinda like liver. Wished I had gotten the pork ribs instead. Trout was also good. Sides were good.
Went on a Sunday evening - 6:30 PM. Very quiet. Cool and windy so we move over. Staff very helpful, but it turns out there was a big event the fly before so a lot of the dessert options were gone. Food OK - great onion soup though. Id give it another chance - location to die for
We were visiting Quebec City for the weekend and decided on Cotes a Cotes Resto-Grill for our Saturday dinner. Being a weekend in July, the town was crowded with tourists. When we arrived at our reservation time, I was a bit concerned our table may have been given away. However, after only a five minute wait, we were seated at a lovely open window table with a great view for people watching. The food was delightful - it just took quite some time to arrive. We were not offered any bread either, so had to patiently wait for our appetizers to arrive. My dinner companion and I didn't mind the long wait, as we had lots to watch from our window!
We were seated inside, but there is a lovely outdoor patio area that was filled with guests and looked like it would be fun to be seated there as well.
Our waiter did his best but he was up against a kitchen that took over an hour to deliver our food—including salads.
Great spot, dog-friendly (we brought our dogs with us) and great service for both dogs and owners.
Everything tasted good, friendly service, good ambiance.
I don’t want to be one of those long reviews that complains incessantly, so it’s short and sweet. We ordered 1 appetizer and a regular meal and we waited 1 hour for the appetizer after
We ordered, and 45 minutes after that for the main course. 2.5 hours in total and the food mediocre. Lots of unrealized
A very laid back atmosphere with an interesting menu. The restaurant was not crowded, and we never felt rushed. Very attentive waitstaff.
A bit expensive for what you get on your plate. Good anbiance on the other hand and good service.
We wanted to eat out because we traveled to Canada.
I made this reservation on Open Table and after driving 45 minutes from Beaupre arrived at the restaurant to be told the kitchen closed early because they had a "slow night". Staff then told me that they would not reopen until Wed 21 March 2018 because business had been slow.
Fabulous location, friendly staff but not enough staff for the number of diners so very slow. And the menu was over-complicated, so the staff needed extra to me the explain.
