Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge
I eat here at least 4 times/year and have NEVER been disappointed withANY dish.
This is a great restaurant!
An oasis near SeaTac. Great food, drink, service. We look forward to experiencing it again!
The menu was extremely difficult to understand and our waiter had a hard time explaining it to us. The portions were like appetizers and cost was ridiculous. When our food came it was barely warm and truly did not seem to match the description. Will NOT eat there again
Have never been disappointed in the food, the quality, the presentation.
I was shocked. For such a beautiful restaurant, its such a shame the service was so incredibly poor and slow. The food was another matter. We waited 2 hrs for our entrees and they came cold. We sent them back, and they came nuked, rubbery, with just tons of sauce on top.
The manager was gracious and took them off our bill, as we didnt eat. I think the menu is just overly complex and ambitious, its not surprising the kitchen was in the weeds. It was a trainwreck.
I very sorry to hear that your recent visit was a disappointment, and our team will use your feedback in our ongoing efforts to maintain our high standards.
Service is always very slow here.
Thank you for your feedback.
Great hidden gem. Good food, good service, good ambience.
Thank you for the great review! We look forward to having you as our guest again :)
Generally it was good to a little better than good however, not great. The host was awesome, the server was a little disconnected and the menu was did not make sense and I have a lot of experience in 4* - 5* dining. The great surprises were the little treats we received however, for the overall experience it was to $$$ for the value, service and food we received. 😕
Always stunning human connection, brilliantly created farm-to-table deliciousness and the warmth of a place to come home to...
Our server seemed a little irritable and rude. He wasn’t friendly at all.
I'm very sorry to hear about your poor service on your recent visit. We value hospitality above all else, and I'm disappointed that we let you down. I hope you'll give us another try to show you the warm hospitality that we're known for!
Great upper end dining experience. Food is great as was the service, and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful for deciding what to order. I was there for my son's 21st birthday and we enjoyed being able to take our time and not feel rushed.
Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a special occasion dinner or just want to explore some really good and well put together food.
The menu was fancier than the food, didn’t think it was worth the money
The restaurant was recommended for it's food, which we found above average. It was my husband's birthday, which the restaurant knew about, but which the restaurant didn't do anything special except to say 'happy birthday' when we walked in. I was disappointed :-(
Great experience, great food, nice wine list, and super cocktail.
The food here is exquisite; it couldn't be better. My only minor issues are the seating is a bit tight in some areas and I'm not a fan of the recent menu-presentation changes. I preferred the previous menu where selections were not divided into numerous categories. That being said, this is one of the many Hidden Gems of South King County.
First the good; the food was very good. All of us enjoyed what we ordered. The service was beyond slow. The waitress was positive but I think she had way too many tables to take care of for one person. We had to ask for refills on our drinks often when there were other staff just walking around. I had brought guests from out of town and had raved about the restaurant. I was embarrassed to have brought them to eat there when the service was so subpar.
The food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely breathtaking! I can hardly wait to tell all my friends all about it. I live in Olympia so the restaurant is a good place to meet friends and family who are arriving at the airport. First rate all the way! Thank you.
It was great!
Lovely setting. Delicious food and overall a wonderful place to be.
Hard to believe that this is a farm to table restaurant associated with an airport hotel. The menu is ordered by tastings (greens, sea, ...) although you can order by item. The service is excellent. The presentations colorful and artistic and the dishes (halibut) are tasty. What s treat prior to a long day of airplane food. A hidden gem.
We loved our server & the food was exquisite! An experience to remember!!!
I LOVE this place as an oasis retreat and the tasting menus are incredible! Being farts to table they change it up regularly and we had their latest new offerings. AMAZING! And never disappointing.
As a return client, I expect excellence at Copperleaf and my experience/meal on Thursday 20 June met my expectations. I made reservations for the following two evenings.
The food was phenomenal, and the setting absolutely beautiful.
Simply outstanding, the best salad I have ever enjoyed and the halibut was superb.
We had a lovely meal. Interesting menu. Lovely venue. Good service. I had asparagus soup, good texture. Halibut was crusty on top, moist underneath. Rice pudding was underwhelming but appreciated it was made with almond milk.
Celebrating a dear friend of mine here, during lunch hour was so special. Server was very attentive, constantly refilling the water. She also knew the menu well, and described everything in great detail. The food is farm to table, so very fresh, great quality and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. It is a hidden gem in the area.
I'm a repeat customer of the restaurant and have always enjoyed the entries, ambiance and superior service. I've been a social networking advocate for the restaurant and resort in general. However, my recent experience at the restaurant has altered my opinions and expectations. Something felt different from the moment we were seated. The waiter was preoccupied serving and chatting with their existing customers while totally ignoring our party. The time between our seating and their arrival at the table was exceeding long and awkward. When they did arrive their attitude was poor and persona inattentive. The food arrived cold and overcooked. My date actually offered how she liked my Halibut recipe better than her serving. There was no presentation of deserts and it felt like we were being rushed out the door. I do want to give credit to your Wine Steward whom did an excellent job of presenting the wine and demonstrating the level of customer service I've come to expect. I'm sensitive as to how individuals have a bad day (upon occasion) , but when you're in the service occupation you have to put those feelings behind you, greet your customers with a smile and attentiveness they are paying for. The $200+ for the meal and date night out was a wasted opportunity on this particular occasion. I won't be back anytime soon.....
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We clearly didn't provide the service that you deserve, and I'll discuss this with our team to improve our overall operations. I'll reach out you privately to seek more details.
Compared to our visit in October 2018, the new Chef's new menu is excellent and the food is back to the five star standard we have come to expect at Copperleaf, where we have dined at least once a year every year since 2011.
When my relatives arrived at the airport to attend the graduation of my younger son from O'Dea, we celebrated by having a lavish dinner at the Copperleaf. We have eaten there before and those earlier experiences had earned, in our eyes, the opportunity to allow Copperleaf to wow us on this very important occasion. Lately, my experience of well-reviewed restaurants has been fairly expressed as "meh." Everything about this evening met or exceeded my expectation. They have a new five-part menu which is ambitious, but, wow, they pull it off. Each of my party ordered off of one or another section except the Vegan. I respect vegans but I don't roll that way. The food was wonderful. If I have over-stated the case on behalf of the food, then, I have only done so because of the superb service we received from a very canny waitress named Piper. From now on, whenever I reserve, I will ask to be placed in Piper's section. Her description of the menu items was very accurate. She was extremely honest about the diminutive size of the portions which meant we all left the table satisfied having eaten either appropriately hot or cold items. She also recommended great cocktails. Everything was perfect. AND PIPER MADE CERTAIN IT WAS. You will pay a high price for high quality food. The price is appropriate for what you get. But you will enjoy it because of Piper's guidance in your selections and her great presentation of the dishes. If the event is appropriately important, dining at Copperleaf in Piper's section will assure that your memories meet the occasion.
Great food great service nice place!
The food and service of the Copperleaf was excellent and enjoyable and we had a wonderful evening sitting by the fireplace and sampling excellent wine.
Enjoyable experience. Very quiet and easy to talk with my dinner guest. The food was very good, albeit the portions were a bit small for the price. This is a once a year restaurant for special occasions. With a bottle of wine, look to pay at least $250 for a party of two.
Service was excellent once seated.
Menu was confusing and portions did not match description provided by staff. “Large halibut potion could not have exceeded 4 oz.
Additionally, the food was far to salted, completely overpowering the fish. Actually this may have been intentional because the fish was bone dry. There seems to be more emphasis placed on petit services of sauce and garnish than on the main items, themselves.
In contrast, the salads were outstanding. Very fresh and flavorful. The cocktails were excellent as well.
Dessert (rasberry and white chocolate) was completely unimpressive, with no actual raspberries plated. Disappointing.
We have been here several times for dinners and never disappointed until this experience. Our woman server was so bad - and usually the servers are part of why we return. We usually love them. This woman was sullen, non talkative - very poorly refilling our water, drinks etc. Had to ask or locate someone each time we needed something. Hamburger dry and was not good. Salmon sliders were good. Not sure we will return for a weekend lunch again. Very disappointed.
The Copperleaf has complicated its dinner menu by presenting its offerings in groups such as "Forest & Thicket" and "Meadow & Garden." Want an appetizer? You need to flip through all of the groups to find them scattered about the menu. Then there is the option to order items within a group "as tasting menu" for $75 to $150 ("add pairings $40" - what does that mean??) or you can order any item a la carte for its price listed. Our server was enthusiastic about this new approach but could not explain how it works in few enough words that we wanted to interrupt our table conversation long enough to master it.
That said, Copperleaf is a fine restaurant. The food is terrific and the ambiance is lovely. I look forward to returning soon.
Excellent place to relax.
The best place to go after landing at SeaTac. Almost feels like you are at a lodge in the middle of nowhere but 8 min from the airport
The food was in a deconstructed presentation. It was best if every bite had a little of each flavor and sauce. The tables are set in an area you might think was an old atrium. This made it a bit loud. But fun to people-watch. This is a hidden gem.
