Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge
Too expensive for what you get
Excellent food. Great waiter. Waiter was working hard checking on all the tables. Great recommendations from him on drinks and food choices .
Food was fantastic and the server wonderful and very knowledgable.
Great taste of food as usual and the excellent service provided by my waiter Marco. Just love this beautiful restaurant!
Excellent food and hospitality. Very highly recommended.
We've been here before. Found the menu a bit confusing this time. We like to enjoy a variety of small plates rather than each having our own entree. The menu didn't seem to really cater to that unless we did a full tasting menu, which seemed like too much.
I have to admit the portions are very small for the price. It was good thing we had a salad before the mail course. The tables are close together where you can hear your neighbors conversations. So not that romantic.
They are very proud for a sub par dining experience. We don’t mind paying for delicious farm to table. But all 4 of us were very disappointed at best. Beyond that, the server STRONGLY recommended the larger, more expensive entree size, despite emphasizing that I wasn’t very hungry. Felt good winked across the board. Extremely unfortunate experience.
It is always a treat to stay @ Cedarbrook & dine @ Copperleaf before a morning flight. It takes the anxiety out of an early ferry/cab to the airport & it is a most pleasant way to start a trip. this time was good but, somehow lacking. The thing that I so look forward to is an excellent martini with no questions asked when I request blue cheese olives. this time I was told that they didn't have blue cheese olives. When I said do you have olives and does the kitchen have blue cheese my waiter was no longer my friend. I definitely got push back. The dinner was OK, not the usual fantastic but good. Always interesting. I did ask about the butter. They are using what is probably a money saving commercial spread/butter that is really inferior and says a lot about the all around attitude of where they are going with quality decisions. A fine restaurant deserves good butter. This wasn't. so still enjoyable but meh.
Fantastic overall experience. We’ll be back! My first time there and it’s truly a hidden gem.
Very nice meal and the service was great. Will be back.
Copperleaf is a fabulous restaurant. Food was delicious and service was top notch.
You won't be disappointed with the food. My less-than-stellar rating for the service is only due to personal preference. One: I don't like it when servers give unsolicited opinions on their favorite dishes. Just because you like it doesn't mean I'll like it. Take it from me...I know what I like more than what you think I would like. Two: When the meal arrives, I don't need a dissertation on every ingredient in the dish. Just put the plate down, wish me a "Bon appetit" or "Buon appetito" or "Enjoy" and walk away. I prefer to converse with my dinner partner. It's expensive, but there's no question that the food is outstanding and the ambiance is comfortably elegant, reason enough that I would dine there again when visiting Seattle.
Food was generally good but my $70 new york was not medium rare as requested, it was raw in the middle and throughout much of the cut. Not impressed for the $$$$.
My wife and I both misunderstood the smoked fish entrée and we thought it would be lightly smoked by a fire, not a totally smoked fish. We found it too salty. My rabbit pasta dish was OK but I was expecting a more fuller robust flavor.
Service by Isaiah was excellent!! He was quite attentive.
Another fully enjoyable dinner in a great space with terrific food!!!
Excellent food and service (and wine!) as always! We look forward to eating at Copperleaf whenever we come to Seattle.
Relaxed environment and very good food reinforces a desire to return soon.
Fantastic all around. Highly recommended! Service was excellent and the menu is diverse and delicious.
Special occasion acknowledged only by host.
Soup served lukewarm.
Halibut very good, but unseasoned kidney beans not a good accompaniment.
Long waits for server attention.
Large chairs uncomfortable for 5’2” people
even with extra pillows.
Would have ordered dessert, but too uncomfortable from chair.
Noise level acceptable.
I've enjoyed several meals at Cedarbrook and have never been disappointed but this weeks lamb was extraordinary. Service was great; really enjoyed Isaiah very much.
This used to be our favorite restaurant for special occasions, but the last two visits have been disappointing. The entrees were small and underwhelming. We sent the dessert back as not something we could eat. In the past, it was wonderful in all ways. It may be a while before we try them again.
We are never disappointed here. The creative menu is what we look forward to every time we are here. While we only stayed at the hotel once we go back to the restaurant multiple times during our stays in the Seattle area.
Great location close to Seatac, met with friends flying back to California. Seated by fireplace as requested on open table reservations. Food was exceptionally delicious! Portions were small. Waiter was very nice and knowledgeable of menu, but drinks were slow to serve had to ask twice. I decided on dessert after diner which was very delicous but it also was a long wait.
This is gracious dining. Delicious food, lovely presentation. The dining atmosphere and seats are really comfortable. We had a cozy seat by the fire and able to look out over the beautiful grounds. This is a beautiful lodge.
Just the best. And Charlie, our waiter was a joy!
Really amazing evening. We had a lovely meal with several courses and wine pairings to match. Our waitress was very attentive. Restaurant was comfortable and romantic. Nice evening for the two of us to be together to celebrate a special occasion. Prices were not overly high considering the quality of the food. Imaginative cuisine with fresh, local produce and seafood.
Can't recommend. My wife and I enjoy restaurants of all kinds and we don't mind paying for interesting experiences. Copperleaf's menu looked good on paper.
The restaurant was largely empty on a Saturday night, although the bar was full and there was steady traffic from a wedding reception outside and hotel guests wandering here and there. There was techno music playing that was just loud enough to make it challenging to converse without leaning over the table. It felt like we were seated in a hotel lobby with the AC cranked up too high.
The service started off rough. We were sat quickly and had the opportunity to ask questions about the menu, but then we were left alone for an awkwardly long time. We eventually ordered two tasting menus with wine pairings. The tempo of service was fine from this point, but the service is sort of clunky. Friendly, yes. We were never left wanting for water. But empty wine glasses accumulated and bread crumbs were left on the table. We were asked a couple times about how the dishes were, but there was a lack of real interest.
The food and wine... On the upside the fish cookery was on point. However, we were disappointed with everything else except the panisse and risotto. Not a lot of flavor. Many of the plates were cold when served and the wines did not suit either of us (with just one exception or two). A couple white wines came room temp.
We won't remember anything about this meal except perhaps that it was boring, and that the final "gift" at the end of the meal was an odd medicinal soda. My wife urged me to not try a second sip, but I did and it was still warm and foul.
I need to end by noting that our server went beyond the call of duty and escorted us to our car with umbrellas during an incredible thunderstorm. That was greatly appreciated.
We had an amazing waitress and she was very attentive and gave great suggestions for food and drinks. The atmosphere was beautiful and it was just perfect. Definitely will come back.
Fabulous dinner menu with lots of GF options.
This was our second time here. The food is always delicious and the service is great. My only critique is that I find the menu a little odd/confusing to navigate. Might need a little explanation from the waiter or written in the menu itself.
Steak was amazing service was good would go back again
Really enjoyed this restaurant. Excellent service and food
The service was terrible - the bar to the terrace.
We met friends who had a long layover at SeaTac on their way to Hawaii from Berlin. The setting was spectacular and the salads were delicious!
Copperleaf offers comfort, beauty, stellar service and delicious food- don't miss it.
Our server Piper was absolutely phenomenal. Couldn't have asked for better. We have had issues acquiring a Copperleaf rewards card. I receive emails, however when I call the 800 number on the website, they tell me they cannot help me and someone would be calling me in 2-3 days. This never happened. I spoke with the restaurant manager Nick Vringnaud, who was very attentive and professional, regarding this matter. We would go to Copperleaf anyday and we do tell our friends about how wonderful it is. Thank you!
Wasn’t clear from on-line menu that it was a tasting menu and so expensive. The food we choose was from the “lunch” menu and was very delicious.
GORGEOUS environment and attentive yet none-intrusive service.
Just a lovely atmosphere for lunch on a beautiful afternoon!
