The flatbread was amazinggggg
The food was good but the service was spotty. They seemed to be understaffed so it took forever to get a drink. Someone pitched in to help but they got the drinks wrong. The service improved once the waitress got help. Also, we always get dessert but the menu options were not very appealing so we passed. The worst part of the experience was the room, it is not a good place to bring a date. It’s loud and the table was uncomfortable and the atmosphere was unpleasant.
Service was ridiculously slow.
Ordered a mixed drink, it came out tasting of grapefruit, and mint: it was supposed to be orange, strawberry, champagne and vodka.
Our group ordered a soup, 3 starter salads, and 5 entrees. One entree and one salad arrived long before the soup or the other salads. After salads and soup arrived along with 3 entrees, the last entree was served, with cold fries.
The dessert was called Smith Island cake. It was a 2” round cake with 3 layers. I would not go back.
The food was very good. I highly recommend the ribeye steak and lobster bisque.
Good food and atmosphere.
Oily flat bread
Early reservation 6:15 meant service was good. Mixed greens salad topped with salmon was good taste.
Food was just okay certainly not worth the price point. Many better restaurants in Bethesda.
The food, service, and value were excellent. We can on a cold and rainy day so it was a little chilly were we sat. Coffee and food got cold quickly.
I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel restaurant and will return
Nice quiet place with great food and drinks!
Cooper's Mill was a great spot for a family lunch for Christmas. the food was outstanding. I thought it was a little pricy but other than that we were very happy. I would recommend this restaurant to others!
Coopers Mill had such generally good reviews that we were pleased to be able to eat there before going on to Strathmore. But the service was fairly slow, the food was not good, but not bad. The worst though was that shortly after I left, my innards were in distress. Coopers Mill? I don’t know.
Joe was the best ever. Thank you.
Thanksgiving dinner was outstanding!
Server TingTing amiable and efficient. Chef came to table to ask if we enjoyed new menu. Scallops excellent. Portions generous.
Pre-show meal. Wasn’t easy to tell from the site that this was in a hotel. There were some loud parties and only one wait-person for the whole floor. The food was very tasty, however.
Large portions. My short rib was tough. The garlic grits weren’t completely cooked and weren’t garlicky. Grits were actually crunchy. Food was presented nicely. Waiter and greet staff were fantastic
Delicious meal. Sweet hostess, but otherwise service was mostly MIA.
Wonderful "breakfast buffet." Nice selection with fresh fruit, omelets to order, both chicken they explained that they can't get them any longer (we had no idea they were not made in house) but they were still trying as so many people have been asking. For comment sake only, I would have liked to see eggs benedict on the buffet. You can order them off the menu, however. Ordered mimosas as well - nicely served with a strawberry. Made for a festive Easter Sunday brunch that didn't include the "kitchen sink" as so many do with what I call "dinner selections." I realize some people like all that, however. We'll be back - probably for Mother's Day now that we've discovered Coopers Mill.
Birthday dinner before concert
We were disappointed that no one seated us, so I assume we were a "no show" for our reservation. 20 min elapsed before the server came to our table. As a Marriott titanium member, I expect more. When we were finally acknowledged, the service was good as was the food.
The manager was excellent. The crab cake sandwich was outstanding. The french fried potatoes were too spicy.
An unexpected gem at a hotel! The ambiance was pleasant, the service was excellent and the menu is unexpectedly creative. We tried the app sampler, which was great, and several menu items- all tasty. The chef is to be commanded for coming up with creative dishes that are simple and superb. We will definitely be back and soon! Must try the Sunday brunch next!
Very disappointed by the gnats in the restaurant. Very atypical for Marriott.
The staff at Cooper's Mill is excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings. The food is great, too!
Had a brunch for a friend - the food was fantastic the dishes were amazing, the coffee was brewed perfectly and the service was excellent.
This is a restaurant in a Marriott hotel. Most hotel restaurants are function over form. This is actually quite a nice place. If it was a stand alone restaurant, it would be a nice place to eat as well. The convenience of it while staying at the hotel was very nice. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there once over the course of a 48 hour stay. We could have driven for something cheaper, and I would have if the food wasn’t as good as it was. The servings were generous. The food was creative. The service was more attentive at dinner and breakfast than it was at lunch. The manager was friendly and honest.
If the cost were lower, this would be a great restaurant. Great service, decent and interesting food options, nice ambiance. However, for the price, none of that seems to be enough. I think they monopolize on being the only restaurant in the area.
Was a good choice if staying at hotel or living nearby. Not sure I would go directly to this restaurant more than once, unless meeting someone nearby or at hotel. We had a coupon, so we took advantage of seeing how the place was. Food was very good, presented nicely and good service. Although it is nice to know that a good restaurant is nearby.
