We had a reservation and waited 30 minutes for a table. Our food was good, however, the service was fair. This is the second time I’ve eaten here for dinner and had below average service.

This place is good. However , they need more gluten-free, vegetarian options. The only thing available was a salad. Lots of other great places have more options than a salad.

We checked in for our reservation early so we could enjoy wine tasting before dinner.

Alvaro was our server. He was courteous, attentive, and kind.

The food was delicious. We found ourselves having the same dishes - we love a good surf and turf!

My husband liked the restaurant when he went with a client, so I made a reservation for lunch to celebrate his 50th with his parents. We got there on time and the place is nice but smelled of wet mop. Laughter from a private party in another room was loud and got worse. We do not drink alcohol at 12:30 in the afternoon, and the place seems to focus much more on the wine which pairs every dish. Server was pleasant but very, very slow, and a water refill took several minutes- she had most of the tables in our section and no help, except for when the entrees came, which took forever to arrive (over 30min). Thankfully we ordered a roasted veg flatbread which arrived earlier- it tasted ok because we were starving, but it was burnt to a black crisp and I didn’t taste any goat cheese, only mozzarella. Shaved Brussels sprout salad came with the entree and was very nice but I bit into way too many peppercorns. Husband’s mini tenderloins were ok but he said better when he had it as a dinner entree. Veggie burger was very bad, dry and tasteless- need to improve on the only entree for vegetarians (me and mom in law). Dad in law’s burger fell apart as he held it, and he had to kept adding salt to every bite. We didn’t even order dessert to celebrate the birthday because, over an hour after being seated, the in laws were tired, hot and wanted to leave.
I wouldn’t go back. Husband may go back with clients. In laws won’t go back- they live in Vienna and not worth the drive.

Wonderful destination dining restaurant. Excellent and exclusive wine list from own vineyards, casual bar, seated fine dining, private rooms, and outdoor deck overlooking landscaped pond. Great menu, with variety and never too much food. Fun and professional wait staff. In our case, appliances delivery at home necessitated our moving our dinner reservation three times on a typically mobbed Friday night and they were able to accommodate us with each request and less than five minute wait for table when we did finally get there. Highest recommendation.

Had the pecan encrusted fish, it was bland. Not bad, just had no taste. My wife's dish the shrimp was fantastic. Hit and miss I guess.

Food was not as good as usual. They compensated the too sweet pork chop, bourbon glaze bbq was just too much. Staff was great as always. Wine tasting before diner and a bottle at diner was a nice way to unwind. Could use a little more light, I find it a little dark.

Service was very slow.

My mashed potatoes were served with a large lump of something black within the potatoes. Menu did not state anything else should have been an ingredient. Waiter said it was a potato, it looked like a whole mushroom.

Normally it’s a great place. I was disappointed this time.

I went to Coopers Hawk in Ashburn, VA on Saturday, July 13th to have my monthly tasting and I was informed that July' s wine of the month was sold out. I attended with a party of 4 including myself. We were seated for dinner and two of the entrees that we wanted to order was also sold out. We were very disappointed. It seems to be a common occurrence that this Coopers Hawk in Ashburn, VA is always running out of wine that is on their monthly tastings. This is becoming very discouraging. I have been a member for a few years and I can see the decline in this restaurant; another disappointment. I would like to keep my membership and am hoping that I will start to see improvements.

Thank you for your time.

The Calamari appetizer is so good and unlike any we have tried elsewhere. Always perfectly cooked, never rubbery, and the glaze makes it perfect. The flights of wine are a fun way to try different wines and the Lux Chardonnay is excellent. The food is always fresh and delicious with reasonable portion sizes. The complementary birthday dessert is always a treat and fresh homemade every day.

This was my 4th visit to the Ashburn/Leesburg location for dinner and wine with a a group of friends (8 of us). I keep trying different dishes hoping the food will get better, but unfortunately it has not.

Not that the food is bad, but just not anything special. Everything is really “under seasoned” or just not cooked properly.

We’ll try it again, but hoping it will improve or else I may give up. We spent quite a bit on dinner for 8, with appetizers, entree’s, wine, dessert, etc. and that is way too much to leave the restaurant very underwhelmed.

Normally, I rave about the food...not so this visit. I ordered the Asian Crunchy Pork, and was disappointed with the overall dish. The pork was cooked to perfection, and the wasabi mashed potatoes were the delicious and the best elements on the plate.

The Asian salad with pineapple, Asian cole slaw, and spiced cucumbers just didn't work. The flavors competed with each other, and detracted from the overall appeal and flavor of the dish as a whole.

This one was far from a home run.

The food is simply amazing! Food taste and quality is very consistent. We were seated promptly. Our server was very attentive. It also definitely pays to be a Wine Club member here. We enjoyed a complementary bottle of wine with dinner. Cooper's Hawk is definitely one of my new favorite places to enjoy great food and wine!
