Connolly's Pub and Restaurant - 47th
Great draft beer.
Delicious walnut crusted salmon and Irish stew
Good service, good food and good atmosphere. They were out of one of the specials that night and the bathrooms could not be clearly identified as single-person or multi-person (they were multi-person, though small).
Overall an enjoyable experience.
Our go to place! My friends and I have celebrated birthdays and just meeting for lunch. The service is great. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent!
We came for it's central location and love that the booths offer that privacy. It was pretty quiet on a Sunday night so we had the place to ourselves. Food was average; we had beef stew, burger and chicken pot pie - the crust on my pot pie was soft and cold so clearly it was pre-made and not re-heated. The one thing that surprised us was that the bill had 18% gratuity already included. When asked, the server said that it's their normal weekend practice but she also backed off when we wanted more info which begs us to think that this was not the case. We have experienced some restaurants charge a mandatory tip because they think tourists don't know better so as New Yorkers, we are appalled by this behavior and will never return.
Fish and chips among best in city. There was confusion between bartender and receptionist that complicated my OpenTable points. Receptionist first reaction was to try to fix blame, not problem, although she eventually did fix problem. Detracted significantly from an otherwise pleasant experience
Couldn’t have picked a better place to eat. Reasonable prices, excellent food, good service and nice atmosphere!! I’ll be back for sure !
Just what you would expect from an Irish pub. We had the Reuben and portobello mushroom sandwich both were delicious. Calamari was average at best. Will definitely go again and order a different appetizer.
Food was below average. Service was almost non existent. Disappointed because I was expecting better
Our experience at Connolly's on Tuesday, 6/4 was outstanding, as usual. Our group - between 5 and 9 ladies - who went to St. Brendan's High School in Brooklyn, NY - many years ago -have been meeting twice a year at Connolly's - Madison for the last 9 years. The staff is always respectful, patient and helpful in so many ways to our group of "80's Ladies". We've named ourselves the "Brendan's Belles" - and God willing, we will continue for some years to come.
We want to give a special shout out to Sarah - who went out of her way to greet us and make us feel so special, yesterday - 6/4/19.
Thank you all at Connolly's Madison and hope to see you again in November of this year - again - God willing. !!!!
Food was awesome and service was great!
Had their walnut encrusted salmon. Very good! Loved the sides as well.
We enjoyed our meal so much; it was my mother’s day meal and it was perfect. We had fish and chips and shepherds pie and they were both delicious. Thank you.
Apps are delicious never disappoint. Staff is attentive and so sweet. Atmosphere is comfiortable. Love this place.
Quick service, good meal and easy on the wallet!
We stayed a long time for dinner. We weren’t rushed. Food was delicious
I would recommend Connolly's--the food was tasty, the service prompt and friendly, and the prices quite reasonable for a midtown Manhattan lunch. I will be returning!
Great food and great service
Great experience all round. Definitely a place to stop for a bite to eat.
Were greeted and seated by a very nice hostess. The waitress was awesome. The wings and our shepherds pie were outstanding. Definitely a place to stop for a bite.
Amazing food and service! Will definitely return
Great atmosphere, plenty of room for large groups. A lot of choices on the menu to fit the needs of any diner.
It’s always good when I can eat there. The food is good and the service is great
the perfect place to dine on St. Patrick's Day with a marvelous Irish lass from Galway as the waitress!!
Decent food, but took a long time for it to be ready. The Reuben was tough to eat for it was very stringy. Wait staff were pleasant and accommodating. Allow extra time if you are planning to see a play after you eat.
Service was very quick and friendly. The food came quickly. Very nice size portions. The food was very fresh and hot. It was overall an excellent dining experience.
Connolly’s is our go to place to celebrate birthdays and just go have a casual lunch and relax. The food is great and the service is the best! We have been coming here for years!
Our bartender and the hostess were wonderful. Professional and friendly.
Friendly staff and great place to gather with friends. Fun environment.
Delicious pub food, great menu, big portions, great value and location
Delicious food & warm, comfortable, atmosphere. Wait staff attentive but not pushy. Looking forward to next meal there.
We loved our food! A great meal and convenient location!
Spectacular ! What a gem. Food was incredibly delicious. Loved the ambiance. Prices were reasonable. Staff was wonderful. Will definitely go again next year.
Really good night tonight - food was all really good (clean plates - always tells a story!!) and the service was friendly and prompt without being pushy or rude. All the staff were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to recommend and would happily go back. Great venue too with a great atmosphere.
Had a lovely family dinner, it was very busy, especially given the time of the year. Food came out quickly, was delicious. Very friendly people at hostess stand.
We made a reservation and we’re seated all the way in the back in the corner and forgot about (literally next to the bus boy cleaning dirty plates). I asked for a booth and saw one was reserved thinking that was maybe for us but the host was like you have to make a reservation. When I said I did she’s like well you don’t always get what you want. Rude people who worked there. Food was okay and we still tipped well since it had nothing to do with the waitress. She was busy waiting on all the tables no wonder we had to wait.
Positives: we were seated right away, the waiter was very sweet and seemed motivated to make sure we had a good experience, and the food was good.
Negatives: all the food was not brought out at the same time. Half of us received our entrees about 5 minutes before the rest of the party. We ordered an appetizer that never showed up. The bus boy started clearing dishes and glasses away without asking us if we wanted them cleared.
A holiday weekend, the service adequate and the food was fine. Good family environment.
Good to enjoy a nice warm dinner after walking outside all afternoon
Great spot to reserve a table before/after show- nothing fancy... our group went for salads, burgers, sandwiches and Irish fare - fun and easy!! Plus a French waitress in an Irish pub... now that’s NYC!!
