The five brunch dishes we had were mediocre at best, perhaps with the exception of the soft-shelled crab sandwich, which was pretty good. At 12:30 on a Sunday, the restaurant was mostly empty. I understand why. The food is clearly not as good as it used to be just a few years ago. The waitress we had was excellent. But she must be a bit embarrassed by the food.
Half of our orders were wrong. Manager covered part of the bill, but we waited 45 minutes for wrong orders. Normally good, but this was a bad outing.
We always love the reuben sandwich, and this visit did not dissapoint. They were kind enough to split the sandwich and fries in advance of serving the meal. A quiet, wonderful spot for after baseball dining!
Great ambiance and excellent food. Bartender made a great martini.
Nice food, kind waiters.
Excellent service and great food. It was a great wind down from the work day experience.
Great food and service! Their steaks are incredible!! And the watermelon sangria was sooo good! We’ll be back!
Bread was great. Service was slow and inconsiderate. Food was very slow. It was not busy. Server disappeared for long periods of time. Food came out cold and swordfish tacos were cold and not good even though recommended by the server. Won’t be back.
Clyde's always has great service and this visit was no exception. Our waiter did a wonderful job staying on top of our table. The bread before the meal was wonderful, but unfortunately the rest of what we ate wasn't great. The turkey burger was mushy and the texture really ruined the dish. The mixed berry cheesecake was okay but not good - a real disappointment as I usually love cheesecake. I always seem to end up at Clyde's based on someone else's recommendation and always wonder why - it's really nothing special and in this case, even with lowered expectations, the meal was a let down.
The food and atmosphere was amazing. The seating was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up... so we kept ordering food and drinks to try out.
The best part of our dining experience was our outstanding and friendly waiter, Manny.
He was knowledgeable about the ingredients of the food which is very important for those of us with food allergies.
I will be a repeat customer and recommend Clyde's as a great affordable dining option.
Came for a late lunch for Mother's Day with my parents and boyfriend. Food was great, even though the menu seemed a bit more brunch-themed than we remembered. The drinks were great and the ambiance was nice. Not really your everyday sort of dining ($$) but great for special occasions or a business meeting. Would come back another time!
We were at Clyde’s today 5/13/18 for Mother’s Day at hostess couldn’t find my reservation In the system. I’m very disappointed with the food. My son ordered a burger which is was bad the meat was not sasonated the fries where over fried burned. Same with my daughter fries burner and her turkey sandwich was saggy. My ceasar salad had to much cheese it not like a traditional ceasar salad it only had romaine and cheese.
Very bad quality of food
It was relaxed and delicious for our Mother's Day celebration. We never felt rushed on the busiest day to eat out!
Fair at best...very disappointing. Not like it used to be food, quality, taste, price, diverse menu for brunch like it once was is no longer.
What staff was slow as was the food. Food was just ok - not nearly as good as Clyde’s in Ashburn.
Mother's Day Brunch .... YUM!!! Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes and Mimosas!!! New brunch items have been added to the menu and it was a treat. Abby was our server and she was a delight. Very attentive!!! Definitely a morning to remember. Time well spent with my kids and great food and drink :)
The orders were not correct and the service was rather slow.
Waiter very nice, friendly & helpful, not thrilled with my dinner, swordfish. Too dry, no taste
We're regulars at Clydes, but for the first time, was disappointed with my wife meal. She ordered scallops, there was supposed to be 6, well the 6th one was about the size of a dime, I'd hardly call that a scallop. We would have complained to the waiter, but he didn't come back after the food was served to check on how our meal was. Very disappointed. He eventually showed up when we were done, so no refills on ice tea, waters, etc. His tip reflected that. But was disappointed in the chef letting the scallop dish go out with less then perfection. The right thing to do would have been to put another scallop on the plate. Are things going down hill at Clydes?
The food was horrible (and salty) and the service by the waiter was even worse. My first and last time visiting this location. The worst Mother's Day meal ever!
As with all of Clyde's restaurants the food and service were very good. The entrees were all good, but some of the accompaniments were strange. When they get to where an aged American cannot pronounce the word and has to ask what it is, it is too far out. I still would recommend Clyde's to anyone. Excellent service and caring staff.
Clyde's offers consistently good food and a menu that has both comfort food and original dishes. It is also easy to talk there because the noise level is low.
Had fish and chips. It was lousy. So were the menu choices.
Clyde's is a great restaurant as the food and service are consistently good. You can tell that Clyde's spends time training its staff from the beginning of your time with them to the end all of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
For the second time in a row we order filet butterflied and they did not do it and filet was burned. I do not expect to give them a third chance
Clyde’s has added high quality steaks and sides to the menu that put it on a par with Morton’s, but with better values on wines and a greater variety of non-steakhouse items. They are clearly kicking it up a notch.
Excellent atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend!
Clyde's has changed their menu, offering much less variety. There wasn't even a salad that included tomatoes, and adding a protein made for an average ~$20 salad. (the kale brussel sprout Caesar was really just weird coleslaw on the side of my grilled chicken). Overall, with less selections I'd recommend other options in Reston Town Center.
Love this place, but food was just okay this time.
The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! Great host but waitress was so quiet you could not understand what she was saying or asking. It made for awkward situations!
Used to be 2-3 times a month patrons...but parking...food quality have not helped keep up with the competition. Mediocre food, no salad with an entre...., even the house chard is less than expected , at the RTC location. Are the other Clydes restaurants also diminished in quality?
Dining at Clyde's in Reston Town Center to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day. Food was good, the restaurant was quiet and we were able to hear each other talk and had quite an enjoyable time.
The waiter was no knowledgeable about the menu at all. He had to go check about questions we had a few times. It took us an hour just to order our drinks, receive them, and then order food. It took another 1.5 hours for us to eat and process our checks/pay. We waited at least 30 mins for our checks to be brought out after asking for them. Finally a manager brought them to us. I had said that it was someone’s birthday when I made the reservation on open table, but no one ever said anything or offered any kind of birthday celebration/cake, etc. Meanwhile, we saw a piece of cake with a candle go to the table next to us.
Had not been to Clyde's since the summer - love the outdoor seating, especially when there is live music on the plaza. We dined here for my son's 20th birthday - he loves steaks and was not disappointed. It was a little too loud this evening for our liking but other than that, we enjoyed the food, wine and company.
Dining at Clyde's is always a pleasure. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is delicious.
Always a great lunch option in Reston! We sat outside on their new patio furniture.
I was very surprised at the poor service we received at first. We waited 20 minutes before the first server ever greeted us and asked if we wanted drinks. Once we got a server all was well and it was the usual Clydes dining experience.
Waiter was very good. The food was slow to come out from the kitchen and alcohol drinks took awhile also
