We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.

Their mask policy was over the top but it was a great experience nonetheless.
We went to Clydes for Thanksgiving. Our server was great. Happy, professional and very attentive. The menu had a variety of choices. My mother had the turkey dinner and it was very good! I had the trout which is always fresh and delicious. I had the bread pudding for dessert which was moist. More like custard than bread pudding. Absolutely delicious. We were at the Reston location which is a great festive atmosphere.

A 7:00 reservation on a Tuesday night and they were already out of soup? First filet was sent back as the quality of meet was poor. Second was better. Waitress was very average.
Plenty of outdoor seating with heat so you can still feel comfortable.
Great experience. We were seated safely outside, well spaced from other diners and overlooking the ice rink. Food was perfectly prepared and the service was attentive without being obsequious. Look forward to returning.
They did a very good job of operating under COVID restrictions to keep everyone safe. The fried goat cheese appetizer is AMAZING.

A table was ready for us when we arrived. We had excellent service. Our drinks and appetizers were wonderful. So were our lunch entrees and dessert. I’ve been going to Clyde’s for many many years and it’s always been a favorite.
Food was good but took forever to get. My Cubano was great - husband’s steak frites had a great flavor but was stringy and small
I have enjoyed Clyde’s for the last 37 years living in Virginia. I always have loved the food, drinks, ambiance and overall experience. Great neighborhood restaurant!!!

Our server, Erica, was fantastic and the food was delicious, as usual! Love that we can bring our family (toddler & newborn included) for a relaxed and safe meal.

Clyde’s is located in the beautiful Reston Town Center. It was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to grab a bite to eat late in the evening. Their COVID pro cautions were fantastic, all guests were required to wear masks when moving through the restaurant and while speaking to staff. They also offered a contactless payment option and made sure that every other table was out of service to account for social distancing.
The menu was full of a variety of wonderful foods all reasonably priced. Our appetizers and meals were fantastic. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was a bit salty, however it tasted fresh and flavorful as well. For dessert we shared an apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. The crumble was hot, fresh and flavorful. The perfect way to end our night.
Our experience at Clyde’s was an amazing one and we highly recommend!
While we were clearly still in the middle of dinner, a manager came to our table and, in a not-too-quite voice, threw a credit card down and told us that it had been rejected. My husband told him the card is not ours and we hadn't even been given our check as we were still EATING! He just said "oh" and walked away. Also, apparently Clyde's had informed Open Table that we hadn't honored our reservation. Not the usual treatment from Clyde's - but any restaurant can have an "off night"! Still the food was great, as usual.

The food was excellent as always, service was also great, attentive and friendly. Always a pleasure to dine at Clydes, although it has been awhile since we were last at this location.

Wonderful lunch as always. We dined on the patio snd we each had different salads. The only minor issue was that our server did not know Clyde’s validates parking at Reston Town Center. I’m sure she knows now. We’ll be back soon!
First dinner out with a friend in approximately 7 months. Ate outdoors on the patio; service was exceptional! Food was delicious. Wine recommendation was excellent.

Second time around in the past month, was another great experience! The service was impeccable... Armando had personality, was quick on his feet, and determined to make us 100% satisfied! We appreciated the friendliness of all the staff, and the surprise birthday dessert for the celebrant, even though we were there for brunch! The manager on duty (Jim) came over to chat, and, like PJ, had a wonderful sense of humour!

We sat outside which is why the noise level was low. The food was an excellent value as well as delicious. The only problem we had was our service. For some reason, our server was not very attentive to our needs. We would not see him for long periods of time. Now we came at 4:00 pm on a Thursday night. Plenty of empty tables. I could not see where he would be busy.
We sat at the table for 15 minutes before anyone came over then when someone did they said they would be right back. Ten minutes later- no one. Then my son finally got a sprite and it was flat. Our calamari was burned and fishy. Still hardly any service so we said we were going to leave. We hadn’t touched our food but we’re still charged. I found the experience to be unacceptable and I used to be in the restaurant business
We have eaten at this Clyde's for many years and have always been pleased. It's been a family "go to" restaurant. This last experience was abnormal because of Covid. We had a reservation for the patio had to move inside because of rainy weather. We were concerned about this, but were able to have an indoor table far removed from others at the back of the restaurant which we were comfortable with. The problem we had is that there were quite a few children, well over the age of 2 (CDC guidelines for mask wearing), not wearing masks, and walking around the restaurant, and right by our table. We wish the management were better about enforcing the mask wearing at this restaurant so that we'd feel comfortable going here during the rest of the pandemic. At this point we won't be making any plans to go back until sometime next year when it's safe. Besides this, we love Clyde's! I'd only recommend with caution.
We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday at brunch at Clyde’s. Since Covid, I have only dined outdoors at restaurants. The weather was rainy yesterday, so we ate indoors, with some ambivalence. I must say that Clyde’s did a wonderful job of keeping patrons safely distanced and all employees wore masks. Our servers were friendly and helpful.
The service was good but the food wasn’t. Was not worth the money.
My lobster was excellent and was a great value. The baked potato wasn' quite done to my satisfaction but I didn't bother to send it back. Love the restaurant and they are a reliable go-to.
