The waitress was excellent and professional. The hostesses were very loud and they’re laughter was very annoying. I love to laugh like anyone but this hostess was braying and very very obnoxious.
That being said it only lasted a couple minutes and we were able to enjoy our birthday meal. Which was amazing!
The restaurant and service was pleased but nothing thrilling or memorable unfortunately.
Excellent service. Food was not that good. Fish overcooked.
Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr gut und bietet auch vegetarische Optionen. Die Preise sind für die Gegend angemessen.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance. Just a little pricey. But worth it.
Very unremarkable, just ok for food
Our Waiter (Cameron) was great. He was attentive, gave great suggestions and an all-around nice guy.
The crab cakes were amazing. A hidden treasure is definitely found in the Brussel sprouts. Give them a try. Hubby had the rockfish and enjoyed it.
Staff was excellent from young woman at door to servers. Great place. Keep up the great work.
Great, as always!
We had a wonderful meal at Clyde’s as usual. Our waitperson was good but could have been more attentive.
Fantastic server and great food!
Fantastic food and Wonderful service. Never felt pressured to turn over the table and our server was very helpful and engaging. The deviled eggs are to die for?
Our waitress took too long to serve us throughout the evening. My date and I both had the steak and frites. The steaks were amazing and cooked as ordered; however the fries were very salty!
Service was great. Manager-Leo helped when I was unhappy with something regarding my meal and was fixed with no issues! Food and drinks were great! Looking forward to dining here again soon :)
Slow service. Nobody ever asked if our meal was OK and our bill might have been 40% larger if our server offered a second round of drinks or dessert, but he did neither. Even closing the bill - after they had my card - took over 15min in a dining room with many empty tables. Sub-par service.
CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER WAD PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT SO SPECIAL AND WONDERFUL.
Food was the worst I’ve ever had here, with exception being the crab & artichoke dip as an appetizer. Service is usually impeccable but they forgot several items and tried to bring out our mains before appetizer. Our waiter was very nice and personable which made the service errors palatable but the food was not.
I would like to commend the chef Diego on his peppermint bark tart. Its long been a Christmas staple and this year's effort was exceptional. Bravo and many thanks.
Excellent. I tried their Asian Chicken Rice bowl. Would definitely order it again. We frequent the Reston Clyde’s during the early days of Covid and they always made us feel safe. Now with Omicron we went back to Clyde’s knowing they knew how to keep us safe.
We seldom have a bad meal at Clyde’s, and we love the ambience, especially at holiday time. Our server, Sylvia, was really wonderful. She was upbeat, welcoming and very adept at her job. Her personality was perfect for the evening!
Loved my trout entrée meal! Lightly breaded and topped with hollandaise, fresh green beans had just the right crispness, and roasted potato bites were not over done. Our server was very efficient and pleasurable. Delightful holiday atmosphere.
We had a great time! Outstanding food and outstanding service. Fabulous!
Waitress and Front of House were great! Food was just okay.
Our mistake was being too patient. Plus we should have walked away after it took 25 min just to track anyone down to ask for a server for our table. Another 25+min to get water, only to have to remind server we still needed a clean glass and bread for the table. The manager came to our table, the server must have sent them, bc they announced our 1st round & app would be comp’d. The bread came after we asked again once the app arrived. We should have asked for the check too bc we were ready to leave after such a wait, & in the end had to ask for the check so many times, 1/2 our party went to get the car after the meal. We waited so long only to be told the mgr accidentally comp’d the whole bill. While correcting the bill, I asked another waiter if we were being punked & to find our waiter since it again had been so long. After a time, we stood by our table and then by the door. When I handed over my cc I had to ask “will u be back?”. The mussels were decent, the roasted chicken was crispy, the cauliflower steak had an interesting blend of flavors, & the burger was ok. The children’s pizza was inedible (the kids menu items have never been edible. We once were served a grilled cheese (after a long wait) that was hard as a rock & had to be a day old). I left a 20% tip for what the original total would have been before the comp but won’t be back again for a few years. We try them every few years after enjoying this restaurant almost weekly their 1st decade. But we’re set for a while.
We went on a Wednesday hoping for a slow night but it was as loud and as busy as a Friday or Saturday night. Granted, it has been years since we last set foot in Clyde’s in Reston, but we do not remember it being this loud.
Could be this location, but the Clydes of today is not the Clydes of yore. The Food was just meh, certainly not up to historical standards of the institution and clearly not as good as its closest competitor (Jackson's). Service rating is actually a mixed bag--our waiter was excellent, initial hostess also good, but seating hostess was perfunctory and there were lots of other servers and front-of-house staff milling about and goofing around with each other. I generally think it's time to retire this location from our menu of choices.
Excellent server who was responsive and attentive.
Food was delicious.
So we went here for my wife’s college graduation with a family friend. Like always, with our reservation, we got seated quickly and met by a waiter. Sadly many items on the menu were sold out that night, which in turn wasn’t surprising as they were pretty packed and our reservation was later in the evening. Consistency is a common thing with this place concerning their food which is always delicious. Can’t blame the restaurant for supply issues, especially right now, and looking forward to coming back again.
Very noisy at lunch, enough so that we had to raise our voices to communicate across the booth. Service was a bit slow/inattentive; bottle of tapwater on table was not cold at all. Food was fine but portions a little larger than need be. Hostess was prompt and efficient.
When we arrived and went to check in for our reservation, we were basically ignored as we stood at the front of the host station. They were dealing with another guest who was standing off to the side. I understand they needed to deal with that but at least acknowledge us.
The server at our table was great! She was friendly and on top of her game.
The food was REALLY good. And the prices are not bad at all. I highly recommend Clyde’s.
We usually have good experiences at Clyde’s. This was not one of them.
We had a great meal and our server Kai was very friendly nice and knowledgable with her recommendations
We celebrated a special occasion, and the service was top notch, the food was delicious, and it was a wonderful experience!
Excellent meal in incredible, festive surroundings
A reliable spot for casual dining - an excellent variety of choices to please everyone and always friendly service.
The food was delicious and the portions were good.
Everything was great from food to service.
Very good service. We all had a great time eating delicious meals!
Food very good as always. Service OK, but a bit below usual standards this time. A full house is a bit uncomfortable in COVID times depending on where you are seated.
