A celebration meal
We have been coming to the Club Gascon for a decade now. It's our favourite restaurant in London. The food is very delicate and inventive. The staff is fantastic. There is nothing to fault this restaurant. We cannot wait for the restaurant to reopen after the crisis.
Excellent. Surprisingly quiet - I assume fear of viruses ! Suggested to others they should go now
Asked staff to make the music louder twice but was ignored, place was overcrowded so instead of relaxing we felt like on the street market. Restaurant is way too expensive for its quality: toilets in pure condition, our table was moving all the time, tables were not cleaned all the times between the dishes. Its not a comfortable place. Food is not for everyone, more looking nice than its taste. Disappointed.
Disappointing, only 6 people dining and 2 of them were us.
Food was ok, been to amazing restaurants before but this didn’t live up to expectations sadly. Had the tasting menu with wine pairing. My guest was still hungry when we left. Service was too attentive.
I was disappointed about the service.
Lovely lunch and attentive staff. Would be coming back ❤️
Food was bland and unexciting for every course. Does not deserve a star!
If you have deep pockets, it's a good experience, but I've eaten far better for less. We had the 5 course taster menu with wine pairing and it was very good, but not exceptional. There had been a ton of effort put in to the food, but the result was average. Only one of the wines made us Wow.
Four of us had a wonderful meal here last week. The amuse bouche selection were great fun and the 5 course tasting menu excellent. We had excellent service and a bottle of wine in each colour from the wine list - we find having the paired wines is too much !
We would definitely come here again.
Good lunch. Food lovely and was very quiet.
Some food was great some wasnt amazing. Definitely not worth the money spent. Waiter was insistent on my partners chair being ok however was broken so after 3 attempts of asking her to move around they finally changed the chair. Other than that service was fast and good. Atmosphere and decor was a bit grim
Superb food with excellent service and attention to detail when allergies mentioned making this a special dining experience. But at £180 per head incl wines by the glass and suggested service it was also a seriously expensive one!
Quiet, well appointed restaurant with attentive service and few customers. I went for lunch and the food was good but in ridiculously small portions. It's no exaggeration to say I left hungry. This is taking small portions to an absurd level. It would not have been hard to provide something more substantial, and while what was there was delicious, it didn't really fulfill the function of 'food'.
Nice staff who were very attentive, but that may have been because there were only about three tables occupied during the Tuesday lunch.
Club Gascon is a long time favourite with great food, thoughtful service and a relaxed atmosphere. Since our last visit they have introduced a welcome veggie menu option. This is inventive and enjoyable in the best CG tradition. More thought perhaps is needed on the wine pairings with this side of the menu.
The star ratings say it all. We had the vegetarian menu (we are both meat eaters) with the paired wines. Very inventive and yet also true to the spirit of classic French cuisine. Excellent and attentive (but not over attentive) service. One of the best meals we have eaten in London. Only one suggestion would be to cut out on the music but then I would always say that so it should not be taken that it was intrusive.
The food was outstanding and we would say it is well worth a visit.
Best lunch in London
We had Pascal's delicious and unique tasting menus - one of us tried and loved the vegetarian choice. Francesca Petronca made us very welcome and comfortable. Her team of David Seon who explained the wine flight and Karim Lamine who did the same with the food looked after us perfectly.
The whole evening was the perfect balance of delicious food and wine, attentive service and the time to savour and enjoy our meal.
Our friends loved it and agreed that we had not exaggerated the spenders of the Club Gascon experience.
Pretty unbelievable culinary experience - we had the 7 course winter tasting menu with wine pairings (£170pp). It ended up being 10 courses as there were a couple of "Chef's Surprises" in there too which were as delicious as the rest of the meal. The order, size, timing of all the courses was very well thought out, so that the whole thing fit together perfectly. The food was undeniably French, but creative, varied and delicious. It took us 4 hours to get through the whole menu, we didn't feel rushed and the service was great. An epic experience if you fancy going all out.
Excellent service from a professional team.
Excellent food and wine selection too.
When I went to tohe restaurant at the end of October 19, it was a proper French restaurant. 2 months and half later, they stopped serving a la carte, but provide only 5 and 7 courses for vegitarian and others (vegitarian contains eggs and dairy products). Amuse bouches between the dishes are abolished, but come in one-go at the beginning of the course. The quality of the food is good, however, menue is too rigid for the price. Also I believe a new feature is £40 penalty for canclel within 48 hours. I do not think I will return ...
We had the Christmas 5 course taster menu. Overall excellent food! Just some very small flavour combinations that didn’t quite work for us- foie gras was a little too sweet for one of us & the creme brulee not sweet enough. Personally didnt quite like duck with sweet potato/butternut squash ( cant remember which it was) even though it had orange throughout. Would’ve preferred a berry with the chickory & liquorice. But provided thought provoking challenges
Lovely special occasion restaurant. Had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing and couldn’t have been better. Highly recommended
Can't recommend this place enough, strong in every area
We booked Club Gascon for a romantic anniversary supper, and it was everything we would have wished for. The food was stunning, and the sommelier recommended the perfect wine match. Service was really friendly too, and helped us feel completely at ease. We had a great time.
Meeting up pre Christmas with friends. We had a most delicious dinner and excellent service
Amazing! I look my fiancé here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. Service was excellent the waiters and sommelier were very knowledge and helpful, the food was exquisite, the decor of the place was stunning. I’m lactose intolerant so all suitable alternatives were suggested and tasted amazing! Literally can’t fault it! Thanks so much!
My third time here, and probably my favourite. Highly reliable, high quality, inventive food that sometimes surprises (foie gras + gingerbread paired with sauternes as a starter!) Much nicer setting since their refurbishment has opened up the space. Probably the best value tasting menu in London, you will only get better food and experience by paying 2 to 3 times more at one of the West London establishments.
Less foie gras than expected, but all courses were delicious. Felt slightly rushed. Loved the foie gras and the duck course.
Excellent seven course tasting menu with accompanying wine.
