City Fish Market
Food was excellent and so was the ambiance.
I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends. I ordered the Maryland Crab Cakes and they were excellent.
Service and food were both excellent! Thanks again for another great dinner!
Beautifully fresh fish cooked imaginatively to order.
City Fish is one of our favorite places. As usual this was a superb meal with excellent service
Fish is always very fresh & well prepared.
Had a dozen West Coast Oysters, excellent!!!
Repeat customer. The bar is always a treat. Excellent cocktails for a reasonable price, fresh and well prepared. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Had nothing but good luck with the bar appetizers.
Have always had a mixed bag in the dining rooms. The staff is always pleasant and the decor is inviting. The wedge salad is everything you can ask for. The lobster bisque consistently lacks lobster meat, tastes somewhat burnt and is incredibly salty. This from a person who’s friends consider him to over salt everything. This trip I ordered the lobster newburg and a filet. The filet was cook exactly as requested. Meat was fresh and good taste. The newburg was disappointing. I compare it to a good lobster roll, but my dish held only half of the meat and twice the amount of scrap filler. I’ve had the seafood newburg several times, and had never been disappointed.
In ten visits, no matter how far in advance I reserve, no matter where I ask to be seated, I’ve only been offered a table in one of two spots. Yes, the other sections are open, yes, there are open tables, even at 5pm, when the place is empty, at least I, am only offered one of two spots. In fact, rather oddly for a large restaurant, we have only been seated at four different tables, in ten visits. I’m pretty sure I don’t smell.
Now all this obviously hasn’t kept me from returning, but a hugely disappointing meal brings out the other things you don’t like.
Fish so fresh service excellent
They honored the reservation right on time and the food and service was excellent
I ordered a Dover sole that was very expensive but terribly cooked. Only ate a third of the fish. Very disappointing. Probably will not go back.
We used to come all the time, we got engaged here! But we stopped about 2 years ago because the food quality dropped but the prices kept going up. We decided to try again. Some good some not so good. The calamari was way over cooked! The shrimp cocktail was over cooked and lacked flavor. The snapper was eh and the breading on the flounder had zero flavor. positives were our server Joe “701” was great. They replaced the calamari (marked difference in look, flavor) and the second was very good. The sea bass was excellent.
If compared to the Capital Grill or Abe & Louie’s, which this is in the same category, it is vastly below and leaves you wanting. The food quality is very poor in comparison.
Had a dinner to celebrate my son's 33rtd birthday. The food was excellent -- from the ahi tuna to the ribeye steak -- everything was perfectly cooked. Making the dinner even better , our server Juan was superb. Not only did he know every facet of the menu, his banter and interaction with us set a great tone to the evening. A truly enjoyable dinner.
The food was wonderful as was the service. The noise level was a little high but the ambience was lovely and the food and service wer as well.
This is our favorite fish restaurant. We go every 2 months or so and have been doing so for the past several years. The food has always been excellent, fresh and flavorful, and the service top notch.
Everything was excellent
We had a very nice time at City Fish Market. Our food was excellent as well as our waitress. We sat outside and I remembered seeing turtles with pointy noses and really long necks in the water one time I was there. Our waitress went to the railing and found a turtle. We gave it a piece of bread and the other turtles and fish swam up. It was really cool. I will eat here again.
Been there a bunch of times and always enjoyed it.....that’s why we went there for my birthday on the 11th. I ordered the lobster au gratin. It was like eating rice and bread crumbs. There was very little lobster in it to the point that I could not even taste it. Very disappointing!
We had dinner outside on the terrace.
Our overall experience was fantastic! When we entered the resturant, the reservationist was lovely. Our waiter was Gregory and he provided outstanding service. Thanks to the team at City Fish Market!!!
In the low season - have to admit - friendlier service and more attentive waiters - the food was also more appetizing -
We went with our 2 kids (6 and 2) at first the waitress made it seems like my kids were an inconvenience, but she changed her attitude quickly when she saw I felt her "push back"
Food was great and the right temperature. Portions were great too.
Ambiance, Service and Food- 5 stars
We had Brandon as our server and he was very attentive! I would have to say one of the best servers we’ve ever had in Florida.
All staff were very friendly and interacted with our 7 year old son.
We had a bottle of the La CREMA, PINOT GRIS, MONTEREY 2017- beautiful wine, well balance and great aroma. We had the Iced Tower and it was very fresh and a fantastic presentation. The menu states it serves 2- but I feel could serve up to 4.
For dinner we had the ARGE “SIGNATURE” S.A.COLD WATER LOBSTER TAIL - so fresh and plentiful! We also had the Yellowtail snapper - Hong Kong style- amazing! Our son has the Mahi Mahi and loved his as well!
A terrific evening all around and can’t wait to return!
Food was delicious it’s very high priced the service was impeccable the ambience was lovely we have a $44.03 course special I paid an extra 10 to have a lobster stuffed lobster but unfortunately the lobster was reported to be a pound and a half but look to me to be less than a pound and the stuffing consisted of a half inch piece of lobster mixed with some kind of sauce that I’ve never tasted before rather than broken to pieces of breadcrumbs and lobster stuffed in the top of an open lobster. My husband had a salmon crusted with Parmesan he said it was delicious. My girlfriend had the special as well as me but she opted for the seafood Newburgh which our past experience has involved a light creamy sauce with some Sherry this was a darker red orange sauce nowhere near as flavorful. On the positive side the crabmeat cocktail with shrimp was absolutely delicious and theWedge salad was also very tasty so I guess the only real disappointments in the meal was the sauce on the Newburgh and the size of the lobster given the price either way the restaurant was lovely with a pretty Waterview and we had a great time
2lb-4lb Lobsters are what they do well.
Out of town family
The seafood is high-quality, fresh, and consistently well prepared. The service is attentive. Unfortunately, a table in our vacinity had some very noisy children and, while attractive, the building has little material to absorb noise.
The ambiance was wonderful as usual. The service was delightful. Unfortunately, this was the first time in over ten years that I was disappointed in both of our meals, The porterhouse steak was so salty it was almost inedible and my wife ordered the Alaskan King Crab legs and they were overcooked. They did credit my wife's meal as she didn't eat but one crab leg. I will return because as I said, we have never had a bad meal before and the service has always been impeccable.
food was good- although my daughters steak was way to salty
I am a regular at this restaurant and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent and service is top notch.
Delicious soft shell crabs. A real treat!
We always look forward to dining at City Fish
Always find the noise level very high where ever we sit. Wished something could be done.
Very noisy and bland fish. The menu is confusing as it mentions two crusted salmon and waiter brought wrong one. It was removed from the bill. The best item was mussels but it was small portion for expensive amount.
Food and service excet
We have been long time customers of this restaurant for many years. However, this last visit was the second visit in a row where our food order was messed up, the food was not prepared well and in general the service was quite lacking. Unfortunately, this may be the last time we visit City Fish Market. It was a good run while it lasted but I think we will be looking for a new "go to" restaurant.
We were celebrating a friend's birthday, who loves lobster. We had a perfect table overlooking the water, with an exceptional waiter, Spencer, who was an experienced professional, with a fabulous sense of humor and quick wit. The food was outstanding and our evening extraordinary because everything made our friend so happy!
Matthew was outstanding & the food was also great! Loved it!!
Just great food & service.
Thoroughly enjoyed. will be back.
Food preparation very poor and salty
Portions not great
Side dishes terrible
