The noise level was so disconcerting that we wouldn't return no matter how good the food .

A variety of choices: our party had pumpkin ravioli, an Asian-influenced shrimp salad, comfort-food baked chicken and mashed potatoes, and an upscale burger. The poke appetizer was outstanding!

We came to Circa before going to a movie. We both ate lightly. I would have liked a piece of bread with my salad. The food was tasty.

Needed a place walking distance to The Kennedy Center and Circa fit the bill. Breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent from the moment we were greeted at the front. It is very conveniently located right next to the Foggy Bottom subway station.

We were in the first seating of the day and one of our party was late. Service was easygoing yet attentive. The pumpkin ravioli was amazing and starter bread and butter were great, too. I had a Foggy Bottom cocktail--light and refreshing. The place was absolutely packed for lunch by the time we left (1 pm) but we didn't feel rushed. Servers happily brought us extra dishes and spoons to share dessert, and split our check three ways. Perfect for Kennedy Center pre-show.

We were in DC to visit my son who is in college at GWU. The atmosphere and noise level was perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Laura was our waitress and she was fantastic. Service was prompt and or food was good. My son and I each had one of the flatbreads. Very tasty and freshly made. This was a much better experience than going to founding farmers, Which is where we went the following night.

This was our first visit to CIRCA in Washington DC. It seems to be very popular. We had a reservation and was quickly seated to our table. We both ordered the same. The appetizer was their shrimp bisque. It was very creamy and tasty. The main course was their Jambalaya. It was prepared with pasta instead of the usual rice. But it was very good with lots of chicken, shrimp, and sausage. The creamy sauce was good and spicy. I would recommend the food here. But, the service was poor, and it was not crowded when we were there. The waiter was rarely seen and difficult to get his attention. Once the meal was served, he never came around to ask how the meal was or if we needed anything else. His attitude was indifferent. Food was very good but service was poor.

Our first time dining at CIRCA at Foggy Bottom for my wife's birthday and could not ask for a more perfect experience. Our waiter, Miguel, was absolutely awesome! Service was fast, food delicious and great casual atmosphere. Oh, and the Brioche Bread Pudding is beyond amazing!! Highly recommend!

Great meal on a Sunday afternoon. Great service and food tasted wonderful. Happy with the portion sizes for the appetizer and our two meals. They went above and beyond to provide us a special treat to help celebrate our anniversary. Everything was topped off with the convenience of having the Kennedy Center shuttle right across the street. Thanks for the great experience!

Our server was awesome ... great personality, knowledgeable, spot-on sense of humor, and attentive (without being overbearing!). The food, as always, was fantastic. We sat on the patio, which is perfect, if you don't mind the noise from the (somewhat-more-than) occasional emergency vehicle arriving at the ER across the street. This was the perfect spot to wish our friend and co-worker a fond farewell as she leaves the city to begin a new chapter.

We came to Circa for a pre-theater meal before the Kennedy Center. We had an excellent meal and the Kennedy Center shuttle leaves from just across the road. It's a perfect pre-opera stop.

We went here for a co-worker's birthday and the food was delicious, she had the salmon and I had the halibut, oh my goodness, both were well worth it! I recommend both of those entrees. The drinks were just okay, nothing to write home about!

Went for Sunday brunch. Just not very good. I had flatbread with mozzarella only in the middle. Eggs Benedict uninspiring. French toast just wierd with corn flake coating which added a strange flavor and did not enhance the bread.

Great, consistent food and service. I really appreciate that they have a menu with a number of gluten free items and the servers really understand the sensitivity with cross-contamination. I always go back every time I'm in town.

The hostess and Tee are the reasons why I keep returning to Circa! The food is awesome. My favorites include sliders, tuna poke, bruschetta, bread pudding, and Jalapeno margarita (only when Tee is there - she gets it made right!!)> Love these two ladies.

Circa never disappoints. I have dined there multiple times with consistent results. Their service is professional and on point. I have had both 2 person lunches and 8 person lunches and they handled both equally well. The menu has enough variety to support the finicky eaters. The price is consistent with other nice DC restaurants. The added bonus is that they are right across the street from Foggy Bottom Metro, so my lunch dates can metro to meet me for lunch!

Came for pre Kennedy Center dining. Arrived 10 minutes late because of traffic and our table was given away. Partially understandable but still expected a longer grace as they weren't that crowded. Table were seated at was missing cutlery, salt and pepper. Rocky start but evening was redeemed by good waiter and good food.

Loved the atmosphere and the food was amazing. The $4 mimosas were just the cherry on top of an overall great experience. The waiter was very friendly and we will definitely be back! Great spot, highly recommend. It's also right across the street from the metro which makes getting there super simple and convenient.

Really good food, but if you're going to go to the trouble of advertising Labor Day brunch, make sure your staff can handle it. The service was ridiculously slow, even before it was crowded. We could see multiple staff members just standing around, and I had to ask them to fix our order multiple times. They're normally good for happy hour and dinner, but I was really disappointed by the overall experience.

I have dined here before and the food is consistently good. Unfortunately, this time the service was non-existent. Each time we needed anything, from ordering to the check, to payment, we had to go to the front of the restaurant and ask that our server see us. So although the food was very good, and we had a great time, the incredibly poor service disappointed.

The food was great as was the cucumber melon sangria though the waiter was not one to provide any interaction other than taking our order and was a bit put off when asked for a suggestion on a beer to order and even less thrilled when one in our party was still trying to narrrow down his dinner selection when he came to take our order. Other than the waiter, really enjoyed dinner and would recommend asking to be seated outdoors when making your reservation during the warmer months.
