A nice and convenient place to eat before Kennedy Center productions. Staff was very nice and the food was outstanding.

Fairly standard chain fare: good American lunch food (the sweet potato fries are especially nice), good draft beer selection, decent wines by the glass, good service. A bit pricey for an ordinary lunch, but works well for business meetings. Reliable, no surprises after several visits.

Our table was ready. I was seated immediately. My guest was late, but the waiter was attentive and helpful while I waited. We enjoyed our lunches. My side order of avocado came chilled, beautifully sliced, and perfect in appearance. My omelet was tasty and warm throughout. It was my first visit, but most enjoyable!

2nd time there and it was great. Chicken under a brick was delicious and my son loved his scallops. We’d been previously in good weather and sat outside and had great salads. Convenient spot. I’ll definitely be back there.

The shrimp starter was great: not too spicy or fried. Steak frittes were pretty good, though nothing stood out to distinguish them. Bread pudding was okay.

We love this place; great food at a great price. The kitchen seemed a bit slow Saturday night, but it wasn't inordinate wait and when the food arrived, it was exceptional, as always. We'll be back!

Easy to make a reservation. Happy hours prices were good and appetizers were good. DInner was excellent and there was a bus stop for the JFK Center right across the street from the restaurant which worked very well for getting to and from the JFK Center. After the show, we came back to the restaurant for dessert, which was very good.

Went with a friend for a quick bite of dinner. At first we thought it would be too loud, but it turned out to be quieter than we thought. The service was great, the food really good. I will definitely go back.

We ate at Circa prior to continuing on to the Kennedy Center. We made a dinner reservation
and chose to eat at a table, rather than sitting in the bar section offering a happy hour menu for drinks and food. Fortunately, even for dinner seating, there is a small plates menu as well as sandwiches and more elaborate entrees. The petit filet sliders were delicious and just the right amount of food to eat before sitting in the theatre. The wine list was good and reasonably priced. We were happy to have been seated toward the back of the restaurant, so we could converse somewhat normally. Host and wait staff were very efficient and personable. We would return, even when not in a hurry to attend a theatre performance!

Excellent meal and service before catching the shuttle to the Kennedy Center right across the street. Tables a little close together-felt slightly crowded with others so close beside and behind.

Dinner on New Years Eve prior to a show at the Kennedy Center. Our server checked with us if we had a curtain time and promised we would be out by 7:15 and we were! We never felt rushed. Server was attentive but not pushy. Our meals were all excellent everything prepared exactly as we ordered. Dessert was delicious ,the coffee was tepid but hardly enough to mention. We especially appreciated that the noise level allowed us to have easy conversation without yelling across the table . I appreciated a smaller but varied menu .I don’t like being handed a book. Good wine list and what looked like great cocktails. Might be our new go-to dinner spot for evenings at the KC!

Great meal at CIRCA. Stayed at residence inn with family and wanted a nice meal close by.
Was very pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was, the ambiance and the quick turnaround from order to eating. The bread pudding was amazing and my old fashioned wa really special

Went here after a movie at the Landmark West End -- it's an easy walk from there. It was actually much better than we'd expected just looking at the menu. Everything was really good -- the tuna poke was a particular hit. And it's one of those rare restaurants where, even on a Saturday evening, we could actually carry on a conversation without having to raise our voices, which was much appreciated. Will definitely go back whenever we're in that area.

Stopped in for a light dinner. Both dinner salads were excellent. Creative and tasty. Noise level was quite high, which was a bit of a problem as we are older diners. But at the edge of Georgetown Univ, we were not surprised. Would recommend to others.

Took my cousin and her boyfriend who were in town as tourists. Husband and I loved it, so we will be back. I ordered lobster ravioli and it was superb. Could have gotten two servings and happily eaten both plates clean. Only issue - three of five desserts had walnut! Too much walnut! (Husband liked it fine with walnuts in all desserts, as billed. I read him this review and said walnut remarks gratuitous. I stand by them.)

We (couple,47, no kids, non smokers, fine out frequently) had dinner before a show at the Kennedy Center. A shuttle just across the street from Circa makes runs to the Kennedy Center every 15 minutes. Ok food. Tuna poke nachos. A must if you like sushi grade tuna. I know how it sounds but trust me. I had the scallops with mushroom risotto. Scallops were delicious but there were only 3 and it was pricey. The risotto was slightly Overcooked and missing mushrooms. But it was tasty. My husband had the bison burger. He was disappointed. Texture and taste were off. He described it as bison meatloaf. He would not order again. We had the bread pudding for dessert and it was divine. Service: 3 of 5. Our waiter struggled to stay in touch with us. We had to get someone else to bring water several times. That always irritates me. Noise: it's loud. Dining seating is right next to a busy bar scene but we were able to have a conversation. Dining room is lovely. Don't park! Take the Orange line metro to Foggy Bottom. Circa is just across the street from the metro station. A little dressy and expensive for small children. Oh wine! We ordered a cab sav bottle. Very tasty. $65. Overall: definitely worth a try! Circa also has terrific happy hour specials! Enjoy!

Great food -- shrimp and grits and steak salad -- but Mr. Manhattan was just strange, and weak. Worse, a busboy broke a half full glass on the floor by us, splashing us with water, and cleanup of shattered glass took awhile under our feet. Awkward, but nothing was comped, which surprised me. It we had been on a first date, instead if married 35 years, I would have been really corked.

What a great experience. The food was superb from the appetizers (shrimp, calamari) to the entrees (scallops, halibut) and dessert (local ice cream). Serving was stellar. We sat and talked for 5 hours while eating and drinking and it was so comfortable. Really quite good all around.
