Amazing experience and food. #RestaurantWeek
Awesome experience! Perfect way to celebrate my birthday. Our server, Chris, was excellent! Great food and drink recommendations and insight about the theater shuttle. Definitely ready to go back!
Good food and desserts, at decent prices. Although the service was a bit slow between courses, the wait staff did keep up on drinks.
There for Restaurant Week and Pre-theater dinner. Staff was great even though it was a busy evening. Food was wonderful, especially the Mixed Berry Shortcake.
I have lunch at Circa often and it is consistently good. This visit was for restaurant week and the menu was excellent. Service is also consistently good. It is a bit loud if that is a concern for people. I like to sit at the tables in the bar as the inside regular tables are really close together.
Friendly service and excellent, attractive dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious. Fixed price offer was an excellent deal at $35 for 3 courses. We were there for pre-theater, and they totally respected our time constraints without our feeling rushed. The only negative was that happy hour was available only at the bar (which was full), which isn’t explained on their web site and doesn’t seem appropriate anyway. Overall, we definitely would return to Circa.
Bartenders were attentive and friendly. We loved all the food and they have a great cocktail menu!
What can I say? Siz people, six raves. Food and service were excellent. Place was a bit noisy. Shuttle to Kennedy Center was convenient. I'd certainly recommend this place.
So many things I wanted to try! The menu is amazing and everything we ate was superb. Ahi nachos. Risotto. Steak. Salmon.
Went to CIRCA with family for dinner before a Sunday evening performance at the Kennedy Center. Service was top notch - not rushed, but friendly and attentive. We ordered Sea Bass, Salmon, Chicken and Scallops from the menu. Everyone thought their meal was excellent. A terrific option in Foggy Bottom.
It's been my second time there and so far everything has been consistently amazing!
Walked from the Kennedy Center with my spouse and two kids after seeing Hamilton on Saturday afternoon. We were giddy from the performance and the patio seating in the lovely afternoon light matched our mood. Service was great. Food was great. The brioche bread pudding and the mixed berry shortcake great ways to end the meal. Would recommend to anyone.
The food and service was grear. The atmosphere was very nice and quiet.
I made reservations at Circa based on internet reviews, and we couldn't have been happier! The food is wonderful and the servers are friendly and helpful. They are very used to patrons eating there prior to a show at the Kennedy Center, so dinner moved along at just the right pace (P.S. 5:30 reservation was perfect timing for this). There is a theater menu, which looked great, but we didn't need quite so much food so ordered off the menu. Bruschetta as an appetizer, which was fabulous - not your typical bruschetta! We had, as our two entrees, halibut & risotto and crab cakes. No dessert needed! All around great experience.
Delicious lunch before Hamilton matinee.
Always a favorite place, I had the Halibut, which had a strong sea-salt flavor, but I wouldn't say it was salty. I am just not used to salt! It was very good, the entire plate was lovely. Cookies for dessert were warmed and wonderful.
Excellent service. Food came out promptly as ordered. Never once needed to ask for a beverage refill. Flavorful food at a reasonable price for the quality, location, and ambiance. An enjoyable and easy spot to go to for a nice meal before a show at the Kennedy Center.
Everything went wrong. Sorry, I was not impressed. It was a recommendation from a colleague, but it wasn’t a great experience — the food, the service, the ambiance.
We had a party of six and everyone was over the moon happy with their selections. Each of us had three courses, lovely wine and wonderful service. The night could not have been more perfect. Authentic Ceasar salad, fresh seafood, amazing lobster ravioli, etc ... Thanks!
Play at Kennedy center
Went for a celebration of our son starting law school, on the recommendation of hotel staff, with high hopes. Our reservation was early, 7pm, and the place was not too busy, yet staff was indifferent and inattentative. We asked for recommendations but none were presented with enthusiasm. The scallops at the next table looked great to my wife and she was excited to order but, they were out. At 7pm? She settled for salmon, same as our son ate. The next morning at breakfast, she admitted her disappointment and expressed her desire to not return but, worse yet, our son said he thought his dinner could have been why he spent the night breaking-in the WC in his new apartment.
great meal before theatre. food was really good. had tuna salad and so fresh. portions perfect. dessert good too. waiter zach friendly and attentive.
Cheese wasn’t quite melted on my son’s hamburger but everything else was good
We met there before going on to the Kennedy Center to see Hamilton. I was a bit hesitant about timing and service (at 5:15), but they are clearly staffed up for an early incoming crowd ahead of KC's 7:30 and 8:00 curtains. The food was excellent, especially the Korean appetizer.
Great location pre theatre at Kennedy Center. Wonderful atmosphere and food.
The food was pretty mediocre though service was very attentive....
Wonderful food, wonderful service, plenty of time to make show at Kennedy Center.
We came in and had an excellent lunch. The burger is very good and it came highly recommended by our server. The Salmon was also very good.
This Was our 1st visit to Circa and it won't be the last! We had an outstanding experience. We loved the halibut and sea bass, and the brussel sprouts with blue cheese was superb. The entire staff was very helpful and professional. And they offer a 3 course pre theater menu.
This is a great place for dining prior to going to The Kennedy Center. The food is good and it's within walking distance. A much better value than you find inside the Center.
Always superior service and great food. Never disappoints! Ahi Poke Nachos and Nutella Trifle are favorite beginning and ending.
I have eaten here several times before a Kennedy Center performance. My table is always ready when I arrive; we have always received good service and best of all, the food is excellent. This is the best place I have found that is in close proximity to the Kennedy Center.
Great place to eat if going to the Kennedy Center. Next to Foggy Bottom Metro and the free Kennedy Center bus is located across the street.
Good food, good ambiance, good time!
CIRCA was so delicious. Good drinks, food that’s filling w/o being too heavy, and excellent service. This was our first time (was going to a show at the Kennedy Center), but we will definitely be back! The Jambalaya and the brussel sprouts were amazing. Same with the brick pressed chicken and the wings and the ahi nachos
From the moment we stepped in out of the downpour, we felt warm and welcomed. We were seated immediately, and our server followed close behind, offering menus and wishing us a good evening. We were never rushed, but the service was quite attentive. The food was wonderful, the wine selection excellent, the ambiance was beautifully intimate. One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. We’ll be back!
A favorite place of ours before the Kennedy Center shows. The Kennedy Center shuttle sits across the street at the Foggy Bottom Metro stop. Very convenient.
If you go be sure to have the brussel sprout starter with blue cheese and bacon!
First time to Foggy Bottom Circa and it was as good as all the others. What made Foggy Bottom stand out was the exceptional service from Tee. She was helpful, attentive, and not intrusive.
We had a bottle of wine and steak frites cooked two different ways. Both were prepared perfectly and the necessary accouterments were provided before needed.
A comfortable, good, and easy place for lunch or dinner! Thank you.
We had a great meal hear before seeing a show at the Kennedy Center. They have a fantastic happy hour M-F we took advantage of. Great cocktails, great food, great ambiance. We’ll be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed my scallops with risotto and our waiter, Chip, was outstanding!
