Chima Steakhouse - Fort Lauderdale
The food was good... staff was very friendly. It was not an amazing experience, but I’m glad I tried it one time. I’m not going to rush back.
There was a couple of big tables with very loud people, so honestly it was very hard to have a conversation with the person sitting in front of me or enjoy dinner with friends.
We have eaten her 7 times when in Fort Lauderdale- this time was not so good. All the meats were overdone and chewy. Just saying.
Great experience celebrating sons graduation.
Over priced , sririmp were lousy , steak was not spectacular! Chicken was mushy! Very unimpressed
Introduced two friends to what we know is the amazing chima experience. Included was a very happy vegan minded person who was floored by variety and quality for him too. Wow that grilled pineapple was enjoyed by all. It was worth the splurge for bday and not a penny wasted. I hope we return next month for two more bdays of people who have never been.
We have been to your restaurant many times and find that lately the service has been lacking. This time, we are most disappointed as it was my partner's birthday and I made certain in my reservation that this was noted. There was no Birthday celebration or cake. I did not feel it was necessary to make an issue of it at the time, but I was very unhappy. Additionally, the waiters were not consistent in observing our request for meat when we wanted it i.e. flipping the plastic tab and eventually ate mostly from the salad bar. In stead of offering us dessert, we were given the check, so we paid and left. This experience was not consistent with previous ones and we will return but we were still very disappointed.
Chima is my favorite place. Been coming to Chima since they opened. Can’t wait to go back. Amazing food and excellent service. Highly recommend to everyone
Excellent in every way
Great food and atmosphere! Really love this place for a special date night.
Everything was amazing
One of our favorite dining spots in Fort Lauderdale.
I have eaten at Chimas numerous times and I can truthfully say everytime it has gotten worse. Our waiter who we couldn't understand was awful. Only came by to take order. Not refill water glass and we had to ask someone other than our waiter for more mashed potatoes. Much smaller selection of meats than usual and the noise was very bad. I can assure you I will not go back.
Great food and great service! Very knowledgeable and attentive wait staff. Totally enjoyed our visit.
This is the best restaurant I have even been. Incredible service, Amazing salad bar. And the meat is unbelievable. I will come back many times.
Hands down one of the best dinners I have ever had, went with my wife for her birthday and we had the time of our lives, between the exquisite meats and the amazing selection from the salad bar we were in heaven, highly recommend Chima Steakhouse and me and my wife will definitely be back
The food was okay I haven’t been in a while,
But I do remember the quality being better than Texas de Brazil.
Unique. Great ambiance. Great service. Food was wonderful.
The brown rice was not cooked properly and some of the meats were very fatty!
Went there for my husband’s birthday
When we arrived we were seated next to the entrance of the kitchen. One try missed my husband's head by a hair.We requested a table change and we were seated in a some what better spot. They weren't crowded and we felt we should have been given a better spot.Tha food is great but we felt it is overpriced.
Well worth the trip for a special night out . Will be back again
Not as many options as advertised but everything was delicious!
I really love the atmosphere of this place, I enjoy the food, the excellent service and the accommodation of they really listen to what you request on your reservation. The price is well worth from beginning to end.
Great Servers. Mediocre Food for $60+ per person. There are better Brazilians place out there. Their servers are the best but we would not go back - just for value and Taste.
We are from Brazil and I can say that we have better meet excellent with quality our plate was empty all the time we where very happy to be there we be back soon congratulations for a nice place and good food.
They ran out of chicken breast wrapped in bacon at 8pm on a Friday night!?!? Come on people, THINK AHEAD! 6 of us really wanted the chicken. Inexcusable.
Love chima. Perfect every time!!!!
Two diners with a bottle of wine, tax and tip - $200.00. If you can afford that, go for it.
Salad bar is great, a wide assortment. Meat served seemed limited, at least what we were offered. I would prefer 1 man-sized steak rather a number of carved slices.
Visited on a Thursday evening. Got seated in the middle of room, very noisy! Salad bar was delicious,as usual. Had to ask for different meats. Everyone has to try the grilled pineapple.
Beautiful setting. Great service and selection. Go with an empty stomach!
I was not expecting such a classy, elegant, warm atmosphere. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect!
Great food and service. Sangria was also delicious.
Visiting Trying restaurants
EVERYTHING about our experience at Chima Sunday night was amazing! I brought my boyfriend in (blind folded and all) for a surprise birthday dinner where he had his first glass/ bottle of wine hahaha needless to say we were both amazed by the service, food, wine and everything about the surroundings that we are already planning our next date night at Chima :) Thank you again for an amazing night out!
I have visited Chima many times. One should expect impeccable service at the price point of this restaurant, and historically that has always been the case. This last visit was very poor service from our waitress. Table maintenance was non-existent. The waitress was never to be found. We had to ask for help from a manager who was passing by. He ended up filling our drinks because he could not find her. We sat for 15 minutes before she came around and offered us coffee and dessert. Coffee came, with one of the orders wrong, and we still had dinner plates on the table. Not what one expects for a $60 per head Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and the Gaucho servers were attentive. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.
Overall the place was great, but the food was much too expensive. They also must not trick people into getting bottled water. They never gave the guest the option to get regular water. The waiter and waitresses were too busy. They approach the table at 100 miles per hour running to say "Is everything ok"? Before you have the opportunity to respond they took off.
We go to. Chima 3 to 4 times during the year. And this occasion the waiter was very slow. We had to remind him of the dessert after 30 minutes the same when we ask for water refills
