Made a reservation a month in advance. Arrived on time but told to wait while they set up the table. Stood right beside the table ( which was already set ) in the crowded bar that they seated us at eventually. People were practically on top of us. We asked the server to move over one table and she kindly obliged. The host came over and rudely asked if we had asked our server to move or just done it ourselves. The main meals came out 7 mins apart which means I sat there starring at my pasta while my daughter waited for her pizza to arrive because even Olive Garden knows it’s rude to eat when other people don’t have their food yet. I expected more and was disappointed. The food was eh... nothing special. The ambiance was lively but omg so loud. Sadly I won’t return.
Our server Miguel Was outstanding making the experience wonderful!
Cecconi’s is an a la staple. Good looking people. Tons of celebs and a really fun bar. My experience is based on our seating (left side of restaurant) I was yelling to talk to my friend and have now lost my voice. The server hardly came over to to us. We waited at times 20 or 39 mins before eventually just asking a bus person to get him. No doubt our business was considered non consequential. What could have been a 5 star evening fell flat.
Very flustered waiters, had to ask 5 times for everything. Pizza was burnt, everyones pastas were very salty. Appetizer did not come until I reminded the waitress. I had very high expectations, but unfortunately I left disappointed.
Amazing food, very very slow service. Our drinks took 30 minutes to get to the table and they forgot our appetizer. Food and ambiance were good so it made up for it.
Ask around bad experience. No longer a well run operation. Avoid at all costs
We went for Brunch on Mother's Day. I was disappointed. After the rave reviews, I thought the food was Ok but not outstanding. The ambience was very nice, but I can get better Italian food for less money elsewhere. I thought I had seen a notice on the website that Mimosas between 9 and 11 am were free. No such luck. I can make a dozen better mimosas for what they charge for one.
Classic LA spot! Definitely make a reservation. The food and the atmosphere are fantastic.
The food was fantastic and the vibe was classy and hip. Our server was poor and we didn’t get greeted for almost 20 min. She very rarely returned and seemed to think we were an inconvenience. Maybe she was having a bad day.
The service was incredibly slow (and restaurant was empty). Than food took forever to come out (eggs and avocado toast, how long can that take?), potatoes were brought instead of tomatoes (and, although on the table, were removed once server noticed the error instead of leaving it as an apology) and when the $4 side of tomatoES came, we found out it was 1 sliced tomato. It’s West Hollywood but you gotta be kidding to give me 1 tomato for $4? Overall a disappointment and I won’t come back.
We made reservations here and let them know we were from out of town and celebrating a bachelorette.
The hostess was eating while we walked in and seemed very unsure of the reservation we had made.
After being seated we ordered our food and drinks, food came out very quickly and was good.
The whole time we ate and spent here no one had come to ask us how the food was or if we needed anything else. We come from Canada and maybe our standards of customer service is too high but we felt very secluded and didn’t understand why. We paid our bill and felt we should talk to the manager and give them a opportunity to fix the visit we had. Our server was trying to help and get our problems heard but we waited several minutes for the manager who was at the bar laughing with the staff.
We decided to just get up and leave since we were irritated by the whole situation and the manager shows up while we get to the door and asks us “are you girls leaving, is everything okay?” We answered yea it’s fine she then said “oh ok” and left even though she was made aware of the situation.
Good food but I would not be coming back or recommending it to my friends and family.
Great food. Busy bar
Everything Great as always!
Servers were kind of slow to attend. But still a great experience as ever!
Basically fine except despite telling staff I had a reservation and my guest was already seated when I arrived, Cecconis still marked me down as a no-show which I then had to straighten out with OpenTable.
Not great really when $200 of my money is sitting in their cash register.
tasty foods, attentive staff, good wine selection
Always hit Cecconi’s upon my LA arrival. I’ve never been disappointed. Healthy menu options, something for everyone.:”
Cecconi's is a bit of an enigma. The food was above average, but the service and overall dining experience fell short. Upon arriving for our reservation to a partially filled restaurant, the hostess welcomed us and asked us to wait inside for a few minutes. About 4-5 minutes later, she apologized and showed us to our table (apparently she was the only one both answering phones and seating people). We ordered 2 appetizers, the burrata and the ricotta crostini, both very good. However, it appeared that some tables received bread and some did not (we were never offered any). Upon clearing our apps, our server placed an unlit candle on our table "for later" and it remained unlit for the rest of the meal. We enjoyed our pastas, I had the truffle fettuccini, a special that was delicious, and my girlfriend had the cavatelli. These were the highlights of the evening. Upon finishing, we received the dessert menu. It has the number 12 at the top, which would normally signal that all desserts are $12 (unless otherwise noted. However, there's only one dessert on the menu that's $12? Seemed a bit confusing. In general, even though the service was slow and at times perplexing, we had a good meal and would return. Our server was polite and professional, but it was clear that he (and seemingly the entire team) seemed understaffed. I hope Cecconi's cleans this up because that seems to be the only thing holding it back from a real 5 star experience.
The food was wonderful. I had the eggplant parmigiana and it was amazing. The ambiance was great. The service was impeccable. The only negative , we had as reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes.
I love Cecconi's, but . . . on this particular night there was a particularly unfriendly red-headed hostess working at the welcome desk. She was not welcoming at all. She would not even make eye contact. When she asked if both people in my party were here and I said not yet, she rudely said 'Go grab a drink and come back when you're both here." Well, the bar was far too crowded to even try to get a drink, and there are better ways to greet your guests. Perhaps try smiling, make eye contact and acting like you are welcoming guests to the restaurant.
Fabulous, we loved it! Great food, beautiful evening! We’ll be back!
Our first destination when we visit LA
The food was delicious but it was very noisy.
The food was delicious, and the wait staff was very efficient and pleasant.
Noise was too much to handle - we could not hear our friends at our table.
Food took a long time to come and it was cold and the wrong dish
I am very very disappointed and extremely upset with this restaurant!!!
They seemed under staffed. Took 30 mins to get wine. 45 mins to get a cuppucino. Terrible. Never again
Always a favorite for Sunday brunch, happy hour or dinner. Also...EASY PARKING.
The help has a really bad attitude ruins the whole dining experience
Amazing agnolotti! Angie G. Is 👌
Always a fantastic time @Cecconi's.....we had a wonderful time, they always take such good care of us....lots of fun!
We waited no less than 40 minutes after having been seated for a waiter to approach us - even though customers seated after us were helped quickly. Had to ask several times for a purse rack as well as for the cover to be rolled out because the sun was hitting us directly.
I am a regular customer of the restaurant - very, extremely disappointed with the service...
Everything was excellent, except for 50 minutes of waiting time (we already had reservation)
We were sat at a table between 2 doors, and were bumped into repeatedly by bar guests and staff. The noise level is extremely loud, not a good place to go if you enjoy actually talking to your dinner guests.
Our appetizer was fine, but our main came out just after and we had no room for it on the table. So the server removed it. When we were ready for our main, she brought out the SAME dish, stone cold. Even though we had explicitly said when we ordered, that we wanted to enjoy our appetizer first. Our salad came out very late. Overall food quality was mediocre.
Overpriced, way to loud and poor service. Will not return.
So noisy you could not here the person sitting next to you. When the food came it was luke warm and mediocre at best.
Chairs are not very comfortable. You find yourself slouching. Other than that. Very nice.
Great food, service and atmosphere! Will go back again
Always, a delight! Corrine is a constant, pleasant ray of sunshine! Dinner is Fabulous
Always great ambience and plenty to look at. Meatballs are always great. As is the calamari. Can’t go wrong.
usually love this place but was very slow service this time
