Carmine's - 91st Street - NYC
Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. Restaurateur Artie Cutler crafted Carmine's with a singular vision; bringing his guests “wow-factor” sized portions and making every meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast.

Outdoor dining was a great experience with Carmines. Food was really good and so were the drinks.
Great food and drinks.
Loved my waiter. A bit noisy in booth near traffic but tolerable
Wonderful can’t wait to go back.I took my husband there for his birthday he had a great day
The food was delicious as always and the service was impeccable one of my favorite restaurants for lunch or dinner I'm never disappointed.
Great food, great service, even in this crazy time we are living in
Waiter was slow, Had to make him take back the water pitcher and glasses becuz they were so dirty, twice. Food on W 44th is much better. Drinks were full of ice(watered down).
Food was above average. Nothing special. The service was below average. We didn’t see a server after the food was brought and had to get someone to pay the check. Won’t go again for sure
Great meal! The food was wonderful, the wine was delicious, and the service was incredibly welcoming.
The food the service was delicious, however the hostesses were rude and not very accommodating considering I had a reservation that they couldn’t find... Tney need better and more patron-friendly hostess.
Service was great and the food was delicious
I always enjoy Carmine’s. This was the families first experience outside. It was a little bitter sweet. To walk inside and know we couldn’t sit and dine there was sad. The food excellent as always. It was Tuesday so we all missed the rack of lamb however that porter house steak was delicious. Everyone who worked there was awesome.
Had an awesome time food is great and portions are huge
My family and I had a pleasant time at Carmine's.
Carmines is always a Good place to eat. Im surprised this visit the service was not that good
The food is very good. Unfortunately for two people your limited in what to get because of the family style serving. Eating outside is not has noisy as to when I've eaten inside.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants.
Visited with family and had Cesar Salad, fried calamari and spaghetti and meatballs. All highly recommended.
For dessert chocolate cake, really good.
Good service and very reasonable prices.
Carmine's is an NYC staple and it never disappoints!
My family and I really enjoyed ourselves... my Grandmother said it’s was one of the best birthday she had::
Great calamari and porterhouse steak! Portions are huge
I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The food was very salty had to much garlic and the noodles was under cooked. The food was disguisting. This restaurant only have 2 beverages which is strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade. The olything that was good was the ceasar salad. They also need to get more items on their menu. They dont have a large variety.
The Waiter was very friendly, very knolageble about the food and drinks on the menu. He suggested the drinks, and they were terrific. The tables outside added to the experience, I don't really mind a bit of ambiance sound from the surroundings. It was all-around great. Fresh air and five-star service, you could not ask for more.
My waitress Chris was amazing . I would love to visit again . Food was amazing and such LARGE portions
Ourdoor seating was nice. I was concerned about pedestrians coming close by where we were eating but it really wasn’t a problem.
Awesome great service wonderful staff. Can't wait to go again
Excellent food. Excellent service. Keep this treasured restaurant open. I love Carmines!
Enjoyable. Great food
Amazing food & service!! However, due to pandemic, do not make reservations after 8:00pm. We did and felt somewhat rushed.
Yes its good but certain of the plates need more shrimps added to it
Ravioli was OK... but the SALAD was excellent. Fresh greens, fresh herbs...
The service was slow... we waited and waited. It took almost 45 minutes to get the check.
Finally, the menu was incomplete.. no chocolate bread pudding..
These days we all sit on the sidewalks. So ambiance was different. That being said, the dividers made us feel secure and well isolated from other diners. We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and there were not serving the titanic dessert we are so accustomed too. However, the chocolate torte with additional ice-cream was a nice substitute.
Thank you everyone for making it happen.
The food was good, but I’ve had better dishes before. The meatballs were great, I have to admit. Due to Covid, we are eating outside, which is ok; however, They put me in the middle of the sidewalk, so it was embarrassing to eat there, although a lot of other more private spots were available.
It was nice, but somehow deceptive, as I used to love this restaurant and had a lot of expectations.
I arrived a few minutes early for my reservation I was meeting my son and his fiancée. Unlike when there’s eating indoors, I was allowed to sit at the table and wait. That made me happy right from the start. My server was very attentive and as usual the food was excellent. Everyone was masked up. The tables under the tent were clear glass partitioned and I felt comfortable. I will go back.
Perfect for a family outing or business meet. The food is amazing and they serve a large portion good to split between two or three people
Waiter was very friendly but he dropped water on me TWICE! Food tasted great at first but as soon as I got home it was straight to the bathroom for the next two days. Will I go here again? Probably not.
Servers were very nice just missing a lot out on the patio. Not sure if they had tables inside but waited long period of time for requested items. We were half way done with our meal when parm cheese was brought to table. All my children were disappointed the usual bread basket wasn’t provided. Food was excellent, no contact was excellent and my birthday boy enjoyed his meal.
Carmines is always great. This is the only location I’ve ever been too and will be returning soon.
Everything is so good! Worth having left overs. The only thing I do not recommend is the cheesecake.
An absolute disgrace, I went there with my partner for our Anniversary for a nice dinner. Everything was fine at first, our reservation was upheld and we were seated shortly after arrival (note, there were 3 empty tables around us). We sat down and ordered at 8:40, the tables around us filled up around 8:50. It's 9:20 and our food has not come, however, all three of the tables that were seated after us, had their food already. We continued to wait, and after an hour of waiting for the food, the pasta is hard. I waited for out waiter to come back and he didn't, I had to get up and go look for a manager. The manager questioned my claim, but said he said he would get me another one. I continued to wait for my new food to come out, by the time my food came out, every table around us was leaving, the same tables that arrived after my partner and I. When the order finally came out they wrapped it and taped the bag, so we couldn't eat it. The manager did not check on us, nor did our waiter. I had to get up to request my check and my waiter was just standing in front of our table waiting for us to pay. We ordered penne a la vodka with chicken, when I opened my take home bag, it was penne a la vodka with SHRIMP. I am highly allergic, which prevents me from eating the pasta. We paid $70 to not eat any food and it ruined our anniversary. Everyone around us was treated better than us, I would never go back.
We both love love Carmines so it was like coming home to an old friends house for dinner YUMMY❤️🔥❤️
Awesome experience especially during Covid-19. I felt safe and comfortable
