I don’t understand how this place is rated so highly.

Food was extremely average. We had a Saffron risotto and a seafood pasta with a Burrata and it was all quite disappointing. You can get much nicer pasta for half the price in places like Bancone, or Padella.

Perfect location for a nice plate of food before going to the Tate Modern or Bankside Gallery. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, all good, waiters attentive and as a party of 5, didn’t rush us. Would return

I hesitated booking this as an Italian so near a tourist trap near the Tate might be very ordinary - but there's no need to do so. This is a fantastic 'neighbourhood' restaurant that could easily be in Italy. Fantastic food (the slow cooked egg was a highlight) and a huge list of affordable Italian wine. Brilliant place, I'll be back.

A hidden gem! Absolutely beautiful food , cooked and served with love, and a stunning wine selection. No visit to the Tate is complete without a stop here!
They need to do something about that door though....

Great food, but limited menu and only one vegetarian main course option. No slimline tonic! Quite pricey too and would have liked some kind of side option for the main course, like a salad or a green veg.

Authentic Italian restaurant in a modern building behind Tate Modern / Southwark. It has the ambience of a café but serves delicious upmarket food.
Staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
Our food and drinks were all very good (we had a simple lunch - burrata with aubergines and mint; and seared scallops, followed by a delicious affogato.
A good choice of starters, mains, pasta and desserts, plus interesting Italian wines.
We stayed for a couple of hours chatting and there was no pressure to move us on!
Recommended - I would definitely go back when next in the area.

We attended the restaurant for my birthday meal. The restaurant is in a great location behind the Tate. We were kindly greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. Our host was lovely and explained the menu well. All three of our courses were delicious and accompanied with and excellent bottle of red. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and came away very satisfied!

Wonderful staff in a friendly authentically Italian restaurant. Food was delicious and portions not too large (as is sometimes the case). Veggie options also very good. Wine was delicious and atmosphere busy but not noisy; we will definitely book again; Thank you Capricci.

Meal for 2 - starter, simple mains and bottle of wine came to £92. Zero ambience - very draughty every time door opened- felt more like a canteen than a restaurant. Food was very mediocre - I could do better at home. Low on seasoning and very basic. Service was friendly but pretty inept. Delivered wrong main course to me then simply handed it to the guy at the next table who had ordered it once I pointed this out. No room on table for wine cooler so we ended up balancing it on a spare chair as we didn't want to try to catch the waitress' eye every time we needed topping up. Overall though very poor value for money. At that price even in London one should expect more professional service and more sumptuous food. The Prosecco was nice. Cant say we will be back.
