Calandras Italian Village
lightly battered sauted shrimp with a hint of spicy tomato sauce
ricotta cheese stuffed ravioli served in a tomato basil sauce
served in a fresh tomato basil, vodka or arrabiata sauce
Absolutely outstanding, authentic & fresh Italian favorites! Waitstaff was amazing, friendly & super professional!
I was so looking forward to this night out! Disappointing on many levels starting with the table we were given-a table with a lot of sun (not filled other tables were available). Like others who commented I was confused on the warm bottled water only, but other tables had ice water in glasses (maybe they wanted the extra $2 per bottle?) Our server was nice enough but disappeared. Our pizza was barely warm and we were there 2 3/4 hrs without dessert, too long.
A good experience, but nothing special. Food was good and altogether fine. The outdoor seating arrangements are well done.
Food was delicious....portions were great! We ordered the octopus and chicken parm.
Server was a nice guy, but not very efficient, think he was new, but we weren't expecting much on that end considering it was first week of outdoor dining since pandemic. He was difficult to track down and someone else brought our food. It took a long time to find him to pay the bill and my husband was ready to leave and getting anxious. When he finally brought the bill we just added a tip, signed and left.
BIG MISTAKE!!!!! We didn't realize AND the server never told us, típ was already included! So poor service and all the server ended up with a 50% tip!!!! Learned my lesson, even if you are in a anxious to leave READ THE BILL THOROUGHLY! 😳
Amazing atmosphere, great food, excellent service and live band.
The outdoor seating was nice given the times we are in. Thought the service was inconsistent. we were told no water except for bottled but other tables were being served water and ice with lemon. We got a bottle and no glass. Server was nice but hard to locate. Got served appetizer and we had to ask for silverware. Duck was good and cooked perfectly. Eggplant Rollatini was VERY good. The Sole Oreganto was a little bland - needed more spices - oregano, salt pepper. We also didn't have salt and pepper at the table which I understand but someone should've come by with a grinder or shaker for diners. Food was all reasonably priced. The Menu listed on Open Table is not the menu provided at the restaurant. The menu on site was more limited than the Open table menu.
They worked so hard to get the outside perfect. food was good - a little pricey but good. Entertainment was ok but better than nothing.
Food was delicious. Outside seating was great by the bar area covered. Had other areas with tents and umbrellas
Very nice to be outside our waiter was new and he was great!
Calandra's never fails to amaze! Great service, food, music and atmosphere. Will always go back!
The food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing, given the high reviews and how good the rest of the food in the Village is.
Our waiter, Vinnie, was excellent. Glad we were seated at 6:30, as the dining room filled up quickly around 7:00 and the noise level rose. Portions are large.
Attended their Great Gatsby/1920’s theme night. Has so much fun. Service was great. Custom theme drinks were great.
Excellent atmosphere, food and entertainment.
Excellent, friendly service and great ambiance! The food was amazing! Highly recommended!
Great Happy Hour Specials in the Bar which are worth checking out.
Great chopped salad (chilled dish) and chicken eggplant entree!
Food is nice, it can be expensive if you go with a crowd and do apps dinner and dessert. It’s a big open room so not too noisy. Good service. Excellent bread. Good portions.
Service was rushed & a little pushy until we ate then she disappeared. Food was good.
Just fine. That’s sll
It’s just ok. Rather pricy for chicken franchise and the bread that came to the table was hard that 3 of the 4 people couldn’t eat it. The braised spare ribs weren’t all that good and didn’t peel off the bone like it should . The Napoleon dessert was kind of dry and hard too. Service was slow on a night that wasn’t busy.
Food was great as always.
It appeared the establishment could not handle the volume of patrons. Slow service, cold food.
We have eaten here many many times and had a great experience. Christmas Eve was NOT a great experience. Totally stuffed in tables, wildly understaffed, food was subpar. Appetizers and entrees came 10 late each time for one of our group. The server told us at least 6 times that dinner was on the way - it finally came after an hour and then had to personally look for silverware after waiting quite some time.
If they had been honest about the delays and apologized it would have been appreciated.
We eat at Calandras often and usually in the bar. The food is always delicious and service is good. This time we ordered a salad, 2 entrees, drinks and dessert. After I paid the bill I realized they charged us an extra $4 because we shared the salad. The bill was over $100 and it is unbelievable that they would charge more for sharing a salad that was already $17 to begin with.
Went there on a Friday seated quickly friendly service. Had the rigatoni vodka tasty
Good good and service, very loud. Tough to have a conversation.
During our recent meal orders included "rustic Chicken", spaghetti with clam sauce, lasagna, and penne with Bolognese sauce. Of course the meal starts with a basket of 2 types of Calandra's fresh bread. We could have just eaten that and been happy. The rustic chicken was accompanied by delicious white beans and broccoli rabe. The chicken was too rustic: pounded thin but over-cooked It was tasty but tough and stringy. All the pastas were great and enjoyed. Although the room is cavernous, it was not too noisy. The service was efficient and helpful. Unfortunately we didn't have time for dessert since all of their baked products are wonderful.
very nice experience, waitress was the best, Toni recommended a wine that very much suited our taste buds. Food was delish!
Excellent place for special occasion. Very good service and atmosphere.
Excellent food and atmosphere, we went with our two children, was decorated lovely for the holidays. Drink menu was great and different, food all dishes we had were excellent.
Very nice family restaurant. The ambiance is lovely and service was excellent.. It was a nice place to spend my birthday on Thanksgiving weekend with my family.
Outstanding food and service! Best place to have celebrated thanksgiving with the family!
This is an OpenTable issue, booked a 5:00pm seating and confirmation email said 5pm since OpenTable showed no openings at 2:30. The restaurant called to confirm my 2:30 reservation. Nope, it’s at 5pm, I have the email to prove it. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us at 5.
Excellent as always!
The night we went the waiter service was lackluster. We had two waiters waiting on us, and neither of them seemed to want to be there. Food came out-small portions. Tasted great but had to fill myself up with lots of bread. The real treat is the desert area that is adjacent to the restaurant. Skip buying dessert at your table and go pick your own from their endless supply of goodies.
It was terrible host was terrible. High top table for 90 year olds
We dined early to celebrate my mother’s birthday. We were seated right away and the restaurant was pretty much empty since it was early. However, right after we sat down, another family walked in and were seated at the table next to us (VERY close) and we felt stuffy after that. Not sure why when the restaurant was empty did we need to be shoved together. Regardless, the food was excellent as usual and we enjoyed the ambiance. We weren’t offered any dessert and I did note it was a birthday celebration when I made the reservation so that was little disappointing that it wasn’t even acknowledged. We live local so we will definitely return.
Very disappointing visit. I used to be a fairly regular diner in the bar area but have not been for awhile. They used to have a fabulous weekday happy hour featuring half price drinks and half price entire bar menu. I enjoyed it so much I would stay way past happy hour paying full price for drinks and food and on Fridays enjoyed the entertainment. Now the happy hour menu is only a partial menu, they changed the quality of the food and they only do half price for wine and beer. I couldn’t wait to finish up and leave. Too bad. Looked like there was a good band playing....
