Everything is always awesome and Especially having Sabrina as your waitress
The food at Cafe Maxx never disappoints. I had beef carpaccio. YUM! Then chicken piccata. YUM YUM. And the Key Lime bar for dessert. YUM YUM YUM. I could eat there every night
My wife and I had an exceptional meal at cafe Maxx. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. We had the duck and the lamb. Then the flower less chocolate cake. They accommodate our gluten free diet perfectly. One of the best hidden gems in south Florida.
Cafe Maxx is always a favorite and this time we decided to try the special Crave Menu celebrating Ft Lauderdale & Pompano Restaurants. The menu offers a nice selection of a starter, entree, & dessert for $35, and Crave continues at Cafe Maxx till Oct. 15th (exSat) The “mac & cheese” starter was one of the best we’ve ever tasted. The buffalo roasted cauliflower salad was spicy & very good. Loved the perfectly done duck medallions with the berry glaze as an entree and also the cashew & banana chip crusted fresh fish of the day (mahi-mahi). The desserts were just the right size to finished a lovely dinner and as always the service was excellent!
Jane was s great server and the food was fabulous as always
Went for the crave menu. First time diners. The portions were bigger than we expected for the special menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Only issue were our drinks. Every drink was disgusting. For a table of usual drinkers, only 1 person ordered a second, but played safe with wine
Maybe more training for the bartender, but food wise, would def come back if in the area
Crave menu appetizers me, cauliflower, he, shrimp. Main we both had onion crusted fish and deserts were included. Great value but martinis were pricey.
The Crave menu was generous and everything really delicious and creative. Still one of the best kitchens in Broward.
Excellent as usual!
I brought my family there to celebrate my wife's birthday and we felt rushed, with an unfriendly customer service approach, our 4 orders of appetizers were cold and had to send them back, the bread was served without butter or other spread after the appetizers were sent back for reheating, the main course was extremely bland without respective flavors for each dish. However, the bottle of wine was good and we took our deserts home because we were fed up at that point. We are regulars at your establishment but may have to take a break until your services significantly improved.
Innovative menu with incredible presentation.
A truly wonderful fine dining experience.
We were seated in an area that was kind of like a hallway. Plus the ceiling needs aesthetic improvement. Food was mediocre and service was average. Expected more from this restaurant.
Table cloth was stained, took an hour to get my entrée and it was not that busy. food was ok but ok is not good enough for that price.
Fantastic night celebrating my dad and uncles birthday! Been twinning for 77 years! The food was great and the service was excellent!
Food and service were spot on, perfect. Return customer for many years, consistently excellent.
for the money it could be a little better. The dessert was not very good at all. The pecan pie dessert was ok and not worth the calories and shocking from a place like this. The crust was like cardboard.
Muy buen restaurante
Great food, great service very $$ ...
Love cafe max. Great ambiance and service. Tom looked after us. My favorite is the tuna wasabi pizza. The duck is spectacular and don’t forget the roasted cauliflower appetizer. Can’t wait to go back
We ate with the Fort Lauderdale CRAVE menu. Great choices, and numerous ones too. Food presentation and taste were very, very good. Only negative was our waitress, a tall blonde who never told us her name-who was void of any personality or cheerfulness.
Having been coming here since it opened in the ‘80’s. Told
The server it was my birthday. He forgot. Dinner was good but everything served so fast as if they wanted us out of there. Disappointing way to spend my birthday
It was amazing best food in south Florida
I brought two friends for a celebration. They loved the food and how the flavors combined to compliment and enhance the other ingredients instead of overpowering them. A unique dining experience they thoroughly enjoyed. They plan to return.
We love Cafe Maxx and have been coming here for years. The chef really understands food preparation and presentation and everything on the menu is fantastic! My particular favorite is one of the house specialties the sweet onion crusted snapper. Our server Tom took great care of our party of 7 and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
I have eaten here FOR YEARS ... in addition I have attended events here ... FOR YEARS ....and I find it just unbelievable that they NEVER KNOW WHO I AM .. I frequent several restaurants in Broward and Palm Beach counties and those restaurants seem to know me!! Look I am not saying I expect them to roll out the red carpet but a friendly greeting MIGHT BE NICE!!!
In addition, the servers have a MAJOR ATTITUDE!! ( and I do mean more than one).Oh and they currently have a 3 course $35 menu which THEY DO NOT tell you about.. you have to ask!! So if you go between now and Oct 15 it is offered.
I am sorry I have to write this because I really do think their food is great ... but it’s just all the other STUFF!!
Good size portions and choices from appetizers to salads to entrees, friendly service and staff. A very pleasant dining experience in a comfortable setting.
Great variety in their Ft. Lauderdale Crave menu which was thoroughly enjoyed by all 4 of those in our group. The food and service continue to be impeccable.
Cafe Maxx offers indoor or outdoor seating. The menu was hard to choose from because everything looked very interesting in terms of accompaniments with the main dish my appetizer shrimp paired with sweet mashed potatoes was a great combination with the roasted vegetables surrounding it.
It was great to see a nice restaurant like Cafe Max offered on restaurant month because it was a great value and I definitely would recommend it to people who either live in the area or a visiting the area.
One of our favorite restaurants! They have a great selection on the menu and EVERYTHING is so delicious . The restaurant displays a very simple yet welcoming feel to it leaving the food to be the star. The bar makes a mean Cosmo also and they have a wonderful wine list. Some of our favorite dishes are the BBQ Asian Meatballs, Pasta Bolognese and for desert the Carrot Cake with a Tropical flair. Every time we visit we are trying to have something different which usually tops our last plate.
the crestaurant month CraveFL menu offered plenty of options. the carpaccio app was orgasmic to the tongue. the butterflied pork loin was delicious but the carpaccio was a hard act to follow. the strawberry shortcake dessert proves this is a civilized restaurant if bacon cannot.
The brunch menu was exceptional and amazing. Truly
Normally my favorite restaurant as a 30 year resident, The ambiance was ruined by two large tables that created a cacophonous atmosphere. Disappointing, Dr. Tim Benoit
Large portions , great food. A bit overpriced
We came to Pompano Beach to meet up with friends. I noticed the tuna sashimi pizza online and it looked very interesting. It was and did not disappoint! WOW, is all I can say. My friend got the petite filet and it was excellent as was the snapper. Nice place, great food and drink
Birthday dinner. Great food and service!
This is our favorite south Florida restaurant! The food & service are consistently excellent - never a disappointment. We particularly love what they do with fish!
Our group of 6 enjoyed everything. We went during the $35 3-course meal deal period. Have eaten there twice before and paid regular price. Always a great meal experience.
everything was fine...except paying $18 for a martini.
I have been coming here since it first opened as Cafe Max. Come with a party of five who all live in the Boca /Delray area. Tried the Crave 2019 special.
They have a very extensive menu for a 3 course $35 price.
I started with Banana Lime Grilled Shrimp, sweet mash, tropical salsa & crispy plantain, very good . My wife opted for the Café Maxx Caesar Salad, grated Reggiano, garlic croutons & shaved prosciutto, also very good.
For mains, my wife ordered the Banana & Mixed Nut Crusted Fish of the Day, sweet mashed potatoes, tropical fruit salsa & plantain, excellent dish. I had the Mixed Berry Glazed & Grilled Breast of Duck, Israeli couscous & a natural sauce, nice dish.
They always have had a great wine list.
This place is a keeper please ask for Sabrina the waitress go for Sunday brunch it’s incredible
