Was a shame the brunch menu was the only food available, even though we were there at lunchtime.
Breakfast here 2x mornings in a row - would go back
Cafe Boheme has never disappointed, and it certainly didn't on Thursday evening.
In these challenging times the tables were more spaced than usual, but this only enhanced the experience. There was a good atmosphere and the value of the set lunch, including a drink is exceptional.
We had sunday roast. We used to go to Cafe Monico which is under the same group but the roast beef is nicer much thicker and bigger. Compared to other places I have been, I think they should improve the quality to compete with other restaurants like Hawksmoor
Didn’t feel that social distancing was taken into consideration at all. All the tables seemed the same as before, no measures taken. Quite disappointing
It was our first lunch out after COVID-19 and we wanted somewhere comfortable with good food. It’s one of our favourite places in Soho.
Fantastic place, the team always look after you well and the food is lovely, as are the cocktails and wine
Usually choose Cafe Boheme for lunch when I'm in Soho. French Bistro in style with corresponding food such as French onion soup, Toulouse Sausages, Steaks etc. Food is good quality, wine list is short but they have chosen the selection well. Staff are always excellent.
Good food and service- very noisy and too dimly lit
We wanted French food and this is exactly what we had in mind. Cafe Boheme was just a little crowded, a little dark and a little loud, but all the better to sit close and enjoy some wonderful food and drink. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and this place seems popular for dates or getting together with friends after work or before the show. We enjoyed the pate and escargot. The service was friendly and helpful. If you want to dine, and not just eat, this is a great place.
Cafe Boheme is a pleasure to visit - lively atmosphere, great service and very good food.
I loved my chicken salad for the starter and my husband's snails were yummy too. The cod was pipping hot but was lacking in flavour - no seasoning used at all. The steak was really good with generous amount of fries. Service was superb - very prompt and friendly. Also great offer for an early dinner - 2 courses for £15.
One of my favourite places in Central London. Waiters are always polite and helpful, food is good (although I don't like that they put mustard in beef tartare). Try their creme brulee, it's outstanding!
Even more than that I like the ambience. It's like the French restaurant in 60-s, with wooden floors, a bar in the middle and a big chandelier. Especially I like to come here in the evening, take a seat by the window and look at the people passing by.
Went there with two children and nan. The coq au vin was fantastique. La bavette perfectly cooked rare (and I m french). My 13 years old said the tarte tatin was the best she ever had. Quick service perfect location for Mary Poppins. Service very attentif. Just
It's a lively place, with live music and a good atmosphere. However the waitress accidentally spilt coca cola over my wife which took the shine off the evening. Her dress needs dry cleaning but no one seemed bothered. if you go, just wear old clothes that don't need washing.
Really disappointing brunch. Two members of our party ordered “bowls” of hot chocolate only to receive a small glass of like warm hot chocolate, spoke to the waiter and asked for new ones. When they arrived they were even colder, not hot at all. Even after asking a waiter he said he would sort it then proceeded to clear the table next to us. Third time after asking we received actual hot chocolate drinks. We also ordered 3 cups of tea at the start of the meal, none came with sugar and only one tea spoon. The final cup of tea was brought as they were clearing our plates away - absolutely ridiculous! Had to ask twice for table water which again was brought right at the end of our meal. Really disappointed in the service especially as it was a birthday celebration and friends had travelled from as far as Norfolk!
First visit and definitely won’t be the last. Food and service excellent.
Fabulous food, fabulous service, great ambiance. I look forward to becoming a regular
Great for pre theatre dinner. Good value food. They weren’t sure about our booking but got there in the end - technical problem.
Great three course french dinner!!! The french onion soup was superb
A busy, buzzy restaurant just opposite the current Mary Poppins production. We were well looked after, ate well and it didn't take long
Gorgeous French Only on Soup, bubbling cheese and rich, soft onions with a punchy flavour. We chose this, based on a photo and it did not disappoint.
Love this café, a new favourite spot. The ambiance is like being in the middle of Paris in 1940. So beautiful, lively, amazing music, and great food.
The food was great and the atmosphere lovely. I felt like I was at a bistro in Paris.
The Sunday roast is really good value! The staff were very attentive and lovely too
Great French menu , well paced service. Great for pre theatre dinner. Good selection of cocktails and friendly fly staff.
Had a lovely meal at Cafe Boheme in between parts one and two of the Harry Potter play. Enjoyed the food which was the usual decent quality. I had a Chicken Liver Pate for starter which I felt could have been improved by the addition of some chutney. For mains it was a bavette steak for me and a cheeseburger for the child. Both tasty.
The only slight issue I had was the volume of noise. Both my son and I are slightly hard of hearing and struggled to speak much to each other with the background noise. Suited him as it meant he could just continue to look at his mobile phone - teenagers! But I would have liked it to be a slightly more conversational level of noise.
Anyway always happy to visit Cafe Boheme and will no doubt be back again in the future.
Thought we would be going to a classic french brasserie. Decor gives you the impression but that’s where it ends.
Table felt grubby and sticky. Croque Monsieur was greasy and only half cooked (literally only grilled on one side with unpleasantly bechamel) soup oily, tasteless and inedible. Chips best part but they were cold when arrived.
Go for a drink if you’re going to the theatre opposite but don’t bother eating.
Great Pre-theatre dinner with our children. Lovely cosy atmosphere and great value food. The staff were lovely too.
Well-situated in Soho. The restaurant gives you Parisian vibes.
Overall I would say that our experience was ok, but few things a little annoying:
- too much noise, depending on where you're seated you'll have to shout to speak with your friends.
- service, very friendly but had to ask few times for the same thing. The team seemed overwhelmed by these tables and I feel for them.
Food was good, if you're french, It's "bistro" food, not too fancy just what you need but a little overpriced for what it is. Team tried their best to accommodate and be available besides being in charged of 1000 tables lol.
Good food and good service. I would certainly recommend.
Excellent meal good choice on the menu particularly fish. Service friendly just a little noisy from guitar player in the bar. We were looking for romantic meal. Very handy for prince edward theatre. Best to book ahead
Great atmosphere with blues band playing. Served quickly and food and wine great.
dependable as ever
does not need a review that is at least 50 characters in length
Excellent from start to finish. Thank you!
Great food, service and atmosphere - one of my favourites in London
Lovely atmospheric place , great service - just really loud
The fixed price 3 course early dinner was a bargain. The food was beautiful and you could choose from almost anything from the a la carte menu. We sat at the back of the restaurant where it was a little quieter. Candlelit tables & jazz drifting though, there was a really lovely ambience. Loved everything about it.
This place looks and sounds great, and the service was fine. But the food was flavourless. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it.
I had the spinach and barley soup which had no discernible flavour. Either the chef didn't taste it, doesn't know what flavour is, or doesn't care - not sure which is worse. I would normally have sent it back but we were in a rush to get to the theatre so I just chucked a load of salt and pepper in. The cod main course was ok but unremarkable.
Nice ambiance of a French cafe. Food is good and fair for the price. Service was good at start but from the main we never seen anyone until the bill. I think our waitress end her shift during our meal that what explain the best service at first and then nothing.
