It felt like the team were overworked and lacking motivation today. Service is usually amazing but not so this evening. I’m sure it was just a one off, we’ve been coming here for over 20 years and this is the first time we’ve had cause to comment negatively.

Service was horrendous. I will definitely not be returning. I was charged for a glass of champagne that I did not order and the server refused to take it off the bill. Food/ambiance in general was lively and fun but service ruined the experience.

Lovelly setting and great location - however unfortunately on this occassion it was super busy, so noisy you couldn't speak and the waiting staff coulnd't hear and the food was poor, service was slow and sporadic, with meals all arriving at different times and staff berderline rude as they were just too busy - will be sticking to this as a brunch location dinner was disappointing.

Very lively buzzing atmosphere, but rather noisy for a group of five middle aged ladies on a theatre trip.
One of the party was rather uncomfortable as five of us were squashed onto a table for four so she had to try to sit across a corner, otherwise there wouldn’t have been room for us to use knives and forks however much we ‘kept our wings in’.
I did recommend this restaurant to the people in the row in front of us in the theatre as they’d heard us talking about it.

enjoyed our evening - booking said we had to vacate table after 90 minutes but there was no suggestion of this in fact which was good as we settled in nicely with reasonably priced wine - excellent atmosphere

Relaxed atmosphere with live music every day from 3pm to 6-30. Good value options on the menu. Service was a bit slow - but we were in no rush . Food was nice but could have been a bit warmer.

Waited an hour for starter. When main arrived it was incorrect and could not wait any longer as was off to theatre. Very disorganised kitchen. Had to ask for cutlery too!

Perfect location for Mary Poppins (opposite the theatre). Good variety of food. All hot and tasty and service, although the restaurant was absolutely full, was great.

Lovely service and delicious food. They just need to sort out the acoustics as it can be deafening in some areas - otherwise perfect!

Disappointing and rude waiting staff. I love the food and atmosphere of this place and have been so many times but was slightly disappointed at the lacklustre service we received during our last visit. I was so excited to take friends but I don’t think any of the waiting staff smiled once during the time we were there. One waitress even belittled our vegetarian friend who asked for goats cheese instead of chicken in her salad. In fact the only waiter who was pleasant was the chap who seated us...the rest were all rather rude and unpleasant.

It was ok
Couldn’t find my booking on her tablet when we arrived .
The crab starter was very good . The duck was a bit dry and bland to be honest . The chocolate mousse was also rather bland , very chocolatey with dark chocolate but nothing special. It was very busy in the bar area and seemed like they needed more staff in the restaurant.
My dessert didn’t arrive and I had to ask for it from another waitress. The venue was extremely noisy. I reduced the 12.5% tip placed on the bill due to the service problem.
Well I gave it a go but there are better places nearby

Very pleasant old-fashioned surroundings and helpful staff. Had breakfast with my grown up children and was just about able to hear the conversation - lively and quite a buzz. Coffee good but breakfast a little mediocre - stone cold poached eggs. Best to go for the decor and surroundings.

Food was good as usual
Unfortunately, we have been asked to leave the table quickly after only 1h30 there
I totally understand we can't keep a table more than 2 hours but it needs to be said when you arrive

I loved this place but I am not sure I will be back soon :(

I just found it a bit too in your face, screaming secretaries and their braying boyfriends, what are they on???? best take a table away from the main bar if you want to talk, we had to move but had a good time whilst shouting at each other

Had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. The service was impeccable and the whole experience lovely. We had a table by the window and it was lovely & light - some of those tucked in corners were very dark.

The pre theatre set menu is such a bargain , we had plenty of time to eat and drink before our show. Tip- you dont need to be going to watch a show to enjoy the deal :)

Still a great place for drinks, nice buzzy atmosphere and would go back for that.
The food was a real disappointment. Chicken was greasy. Fries were hard and warm. Steak was small and poor quality. Again fries were hard and warm.

Very impressed with this restaurant. Unusual to find a French restaurant with a casual Cafe style which works very well. Great location and we had a great spot right in the corner so more private and away from the bar. The food was very tasty and not too heavy for French and very generous with the complimentary bread. The service was absolutely outstanding though!

I loved it. Our servers were fantastic, great food and amazing value with the post theatre pricing - steak tartare, duck confit, plum galette and a glass of wine for £17. Wow!

Despite the pouring rain and the doors along the side of the restaurant being open to the elements the temperature at my table was comfortable. On entering it seemed bustling and noisy with chatter and live music but again at the table this was not an issue and talking with my brother was easy and not a problem. The atmosphere was excellent here. The service was in equal parts friendly and attentive too. As a Parasien style cafe in London it blends beautifully and the food is as you would expect with classic French dishes but able to cater for all tastes. The Steak Bavette normally a cheaper option among steaks was excellent and is highly recommended.

All in an excellent experience and an ideal pre-theatre destination for many west end theatres.

Cafe Boheme never fails to deliver. Attentive yet not obsequious service, delicious food and wine, and a wonderful atmosphere. (The music volume was a little loud this time, it felt as though we were having to shout to one another, but once the live music started in the bar area, it was MUCH better!)

This is a regular haunt of mine for pre theatre dining. I have to admit on this occasion the service was not as attentive as usual, the lighting too dim to be able to read the menu easily, and the table next to ours was quite rowdy. The food, however, was as tasty and high quality as usual.
