Cafe Amarcord is a nice place for a quiet dinner with very good food and drinks. A bit on the pricey side for the food and drinks, especially for being so far outside of NY - dinner for 2 will run you at least $150 (one app shared, 2 entrees and one dessert with drinks).
We went there for their lunch special. They advertised that they had their own parking lot. When we got there, the lot said for tenants only. Inside they told us that we could be towed, so we had to find street parking anyway.
I had their turkey sandwich which they said was fresh turkey. It was clearly processed.
I didn’t appreciate their false advertising. They certainly have a lot of potential. Their salad & cappuccino were very good.
It was a quite Tuesday evening. The staff was very personable and everything was delicious.
The Garginale and duck pasta was especially delicious.
I have dined here on several occasions and have never been disappointed.
We were there for lunch. There were many specials, but if you wanted a light lunch it was paninis or some starters. The winning dish was the chicken palliard. It came on a good salad with truffle oil. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I also had a very nice glass of rose. The servers and runners were very helpful and efficient. Overall a really nice place, if I lived around there I would definitely go there for dinner.
Amarcord, as good as a Fellini movie. My wife & I had a highlight of our Beacon stay by eating here. The wine & food were excellent, the place cozy & lively, the staff quite nice & helpful. Come for a special night.
Spot on tonight, good service, great drinks and a wonderful meal.
Great place for Valentines Day or any other occasion. Favorite place in Beacon.
The food was definitely very good! However the portions are adequate or on the small side. The price is definitely on the higher end based on portion size. The service was excellent. The drinks were just OK in my opinion. Overall I thought the ingredients were fresh and the meals prepared properly. They could do better on the selection of wines by the glass. I would definitely recommend this place.
We went for my birthday
Very nice restaurant great staff, we enjoyed dining there!
Atmosphere just what we were looking for. Quiet with soft lighting. Had their pasta special and a lamb burger. The Italian Sangiovese wine was outstanding. We enjoy quality lunch restaurants versus late dining so this was a perfect match.
Wife and i had a date night here. Our two signature cocktails were average. Brussel sprouts salad was fresh and crisp. Whole branzino was great and on regular menu. Special trout was very good. Good variety and decent price wine list.
Ambience looked nice. Many couples we noticed ate at bar which we would do next time as we had awkward table location between bar room area and main dining room.
Meal was excelent service was above average ambience was above average
Food was excellent - duck special, steak, pasta with shrimp. Service was excellent ! Only recommendation is to expand/improve (?) dessert menu
The best. Steak cooked to perfection
Everything was delicious, I just wish we weren’t seated so close to the door. Service was very good. We were there for New Years Eve!
Good food, good service. It was Christmas Eve...just not great!
Great ambiance, service and decor. Felt a little rushed to be seated when we first walked in, but we complied with the host’s request. Three of us ordered the short rib fettuccini and all three agreed it was subpar. Instead of a hearty dish, we got overcooked noodles with some short ribs, and a whole lot of braising liquid. I addressed this quietly with our server who politely apologized. I’ll come here again as this place usually does a nice job, I’ll just order something else. Everyone has an off night and perhaps this was theirs.
Try not to sit in the bar area as it's very noisey & you get quite a draft when people enter and exit when it's cold out. The food is amazing and the service is on point.
Yes from our hostess to our waitress they saw to every detail. The food was a always delicious ,our Party of four ordered appetizers and entries from the evenings specials and were not disappointed. Would go back in a heart beat.
It was a very good meal, nicely served, pleasant ambiance. Also the wine selection was good. Loved the appetizers. Would have preferred warm bread but it was ok.
Always a pleasure eating here. Food is awesome waiters pleasant and the drinks are made just right.
Good food, no specific place to wait to be seated. No hostess in sight when we walked in so a bit confusing. Someone outside threw eggs at the window which was startling.
Had a reservation for 2 at 8:15, arrived and sat quickly. It took almost 40 minutes for someone to take a drink order. The food came quickly, still feel like the waiter forgot about us. We sat upstairs and were the only ones up there. Food was ok and over priced. After 2 hours we left without even getting dessert. Food was good but WAY over priced
Wonderful from start to finish! Food was outstanding!!
Absolutely excellent meal. What a great way to celebrate Hudson Valley Restaurant Week! Although they were very busy, the staff was warm, kind, and professional. Wonderful cocktails!
We went to Amarcord with friends during Restaurant Week. Usually Restaurant Week menus are not too diverse. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the selection and quantity of our food. Every course was delicious. Will definitely come often.
I expected to have a nice time at Café Amarcord and they did not disappoint. The food was wonderful with perfect portions. The wine was great too. For five people to enjoy a 3 course meal the price was fair. With all these attributes the evening and experience was memorable.
Great atmosphere food and service a must for all visiting the Beacon area
Really enjoyed the ambience excellent service
friendly staff and great food
We had a wonderful dinner in this quiet, intimate restaurant with attentive service and creative menu. The lamb ragu was very rich and flavorful and the brussel sprout salad was very refreshing and had great texture. The snapper special was very fresh and a treat for the taste buds. Our dinner did not disappoint. It earned all of its great reviews
We always have a great meal at Cafe Amarcord. One of our go to's in Beacon
It was lovely.
The food is fabulous. Don’t sit at the table by the door unless you want to freeze. Our waitress was great but the restaurant should have had 3 people on that day instead of two. Service was 1.5 hours for sandwiches.
Wonderful food and friendly service.
Bailey our waitress was wonderful and the food and drinks were excellent.
very unusual situation ... was there for lunch ... seated well away from a table of 5 or 6 ... but they were so loud and one woman had a huge piercing voice and laugh ... ruined our experience ... food service all was good but for the loud table
This was our first time at this restaurant. The service is outstanding and the plating of the food was great. Menu was limited but had enough for anyone to chose from even picky eater like me. The portion size were great so that you don't overeat. I would definitely go back again.
Excellent service, great drinks, and appetizers. My boyfriend loved the lamb but I was not a fan of the mushroom soup.
